Posted: 8/26/2009 7:28:24 AM | I found a check last night that was endorsed by the recipient. The check was in the amount of $9,522.50. I did a lot of digging and making phone calls and I am very happy to say that this morning at 10:00 AM I was able to turn the check over to the rightful owner. The lady was very thankful and crying and offered me money but I could not and would not take it. I would hope that someone would do the same for me if it ever happened. Another thing, this was a check to pay for a part of her dad’s burial expenses.
Oh what a wonderful day! I made someone very happy today so I am also very happy; this is what life is all about!

I was concerned yesterday because on the way to work water leaked out of the overhead light in my car. I smiled today because my sunroof was cleaned and adjusted for $40 when the other repair shop sounded like it would be a whole lot more. | |
