It rained here today. We need it so bad. Our lakes (and we have lots of them) are so low that boats can not even go out on some of them.
Everything is so dry that we are having wild fires and brush fires that cause traffic accidents because of the smoke...not to mention the threat to property and buildings.
Hopefully...there will be more rain to come. | |

What made me smile??? My ex called me, worried that she won't get the paper work together fast enough to get her boyfriend over here from India!! She has ten days to get it there...and the mail is soooo slow! She left me for this guy she met on line in India. Good Luck, girl!!

Posted: 1/31/2008 9:43:16 PM | Well, this is a few days late but what made me smile..........my handicapped son just turned 18, and we had a special party for him at the "winghouse".......LOL... he's no longer my "little boy" but a full fledged MAN and seeing the smile on his face with all the pretty girls made ME smile too. Not too shabby for a kid they told me would live to be "6 months, maybe one year"....God Bless him....i wouldn't trade him for 10 "normal" ones........He makes me smile EVERYDAY!!

Posted: 2/3/2008 11:29:04 AM | why thank you cajun, he's my little man and i am soooooo glad to have him in my life. i figure that's why God gave him to me...because He knew i would do my very best to give him the very best........he's taught me alot about life......and patience and unconditional love. like i said, i wouldn't trade him for 10 "normal" kids!! i never have to worry about him doing drugs, getting his girl friend pregnant, skipping school or any of the things my friends are dealing with......all my concerns for him are medical and those, for now are under control. and as a matter of fact, today, like every day, he woke up happy and gave me his big goofy grin and that made me smile today too!!

I was driving down the road and hit a big puddle of water and there was a guy on the sidewalk who got drenched.
I was mortified. But looking back in the rear view mirrow I saw him just laughing and waving. Not his single finger but waving as if it was just ok.

Posted: 2/16/2008 5:42:03 PM | Now, now Cajun.......you be nice to us sweet little gators down here.........i don't follow sports much but i figured something was going on yesterday when i went i to the drive thru at the bank and the guy was painted orange and blue and wearing all gator clothes. seeing him made me smile and if seeing them get their butts kicked made YOU smile, then that's alright by me!!
