| How do you know when a POF member posts a fake pic?
Posted: 4/5/2008 9:23:56 PM | I dont agree with this about POF setting up fake profiles. Why what would they get out of this. It is a FREE site. Its not like a paying site when they would want you to think there is someone out there for you.
I had a friend do her profile on here. She received 500 emails in the first week. It was true since I saw her account. Guess what she never answered most of them since she actually has a life. So is she a fake profile no just an over whelmed one. | |

Posted: 4/6/2008 1:14:34 AM | | well Tagged, ive seen two different people using the the same pic on here twice quite a few times, one claimed to live in the USA, and the other here in the UK, so I mailed the UK one and told her someone else in the USA had posted the same pic as her, funnily enough I didnt get a reply, in other words i got ignored, so i reckon she was the picture pincher. But as far as posting a fake pic on here, well you can only believe what they say until you can prove otherwise. But why do it in the first place, surely if you meet anyone they will see instantly that its not you, and therefore be very unlikely to believe anything else you say | |

2)they dont know what they want
3) they think they are smart ,they can fool others ,but they can not ,when you meet them ,you really see who they are...just be awere of those people..
how can you notice this fake picture putter or fake people ? this is very important question here ...fake person evevrything he has is fake is simply.lies after lies fake after fake .doesnt know what to want doenst know anything except of thinking how to fool him self or her self..
l as a man .l invite all the people to reallity ,no one is perfect , we all are human we all make mistakes ..we all have soem limitition..we all have un corrected places or not perfect looking..look at my nose is like pinock you nose ..l love it...so what...be real and enjoy the life with honour and respect with joy and happiness ..the rest is garbage... | |

Almost everyone has a camera phone or other digital camera, so be honest -- your picture seems too good to be true, could you placate me by taking one right now? If you have to, do the whole "sign" thing -- have him/her write "Hi, [yourname]!" on a piece of paper and hold it up for the picture (or even just their username). I would consider this a compliment, I guess.
Even multiple pictures isn't necessarily a good indicator, considering sites like flickr and facebook can make it really easy to steal lots of pictures of one person. The "shout out" sign method is probably the only TRUE way you'd know until you met them face to face....but be wary of photoshop.... :P | |

Just not attractive to older guys who look like their age or older.I look really young , Women lie about their age all the time. I rather they lie about their age than put on a fake picture of themself. Because once you meet them , its not what you vision so you are not going to like them any way.
It's still a lie...and the basic principal is the same. A lie is a lie.
I agree that some profile pics DO appear too good to be true. I came across one of them not TOO long ago. HOWEVER....I saw another profile with REALLY hot, very professional pics, and I know the guy personally. They REALLY are him and he REALLY does look like that. So.....you can never know for certain. | |

That should be your first clue.... Look to the left at the pictures of real people posting. Anyone doing that?
Your second clue would be that there is only one picture. If there isn't a second picture with a real life moment it is because the person putting the profile up doesn't have access to the models personal photo collection.
If they happen to be real and you don't message them... 'oh well!' You didn't lose the love of your life. They do this because people respond. It triggers your, "I won the lottery!" muscle. | |

Second:
Another giveaway is when a girl/guy is asked to get on cam, she/he makes excuses...it's broke, I'm not at home..blah blah blah
You request for her to make you a special "sign" like "_______ rocks my socks off" and she makes excuses. I use this as an example for men who are talking to girls who have been talking to a girl for quite some time, either been into heavy flirting and so on lol! It's not unusual to ask someone you been crushing on to make a person message for you.
Alot know how to photoshop a "sign"...so get them to hold a spoon, fork if you are in doubt.
Most will get caught in their web of lies. Delete and pursue you again with a different fake account. Sad huh?
