police beatings,
Maybe, but I believe white people get tasered more often.
As for hip-hop, most white people dont like that style, so they dont participate,so there is no competition for the blacks.

Actually vs their population they're executed at vastly higher rates.

Don't forget accidental shootings, Blacks' are supremely likely to get shot vs whites.

This guy is lying, how the hell does he have any idea who got hired instead of him if he didn't get the job, and how the hell would he know their individual education/work backgrounds.
I have an idea how the other person got the job over him. Only in Canada. Back before you were born.
It came out that gov't agencies had to have a quota on how many minorities it had to hire. This is all 3 levels of Gov'ts. A lot of people were hired because of race over quailifications.

Population? Why does that have anything to do with it? They do more crimes, because of poverty, than whites, but yet, whites receive death sentences more than blacks.

Well, again, they are into more crime because of poverty so I assume that puts then in more shootouts than whites which I am sure is why there are more accidental shootings.
Geeze can't give them any credit at all. I think they are better dancers than whites, dances I like but cant do anyway. I love Micheal Jacksons dancing. I think they are better comedians. My favorites are Redd Fox,Whoopi Goldberg, Eddie Murphy and Queen Latefia. I would rather see them in a movie than any white person I have seen perform. I also think they have a better imagination than whites. No one can compare to Prince and Micheal Jackson. I think black people make better athletes.

So you admit they're in a position of having higher poverty. Yet you think they have some sort of supremacy? So you have a population that is poor, spends more time in jail, get's less education, and 40 years ago was being lynched. Wow sounds like it's good to be black in North America. Do you even listen to yourself?
Well, again, they are into more crime because of poverty so I assume that puts then in more shootouts than whites which I am sure is why there are more accidental shootings.
Like being shot while they sleep in their car?

I find that people who cry about black having "more rights" are just ****ing because they actually have to compete with that population now, rather than being comfortable knowing that they their never going to get out of base level work.

| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/29/2007 7:01:55 PM | I have been to college, but what does that have to do with my opinion in this statement. I never denied more blacks were in poverty. But I think after 50 years of educational programs, they should have pulled themselves out more. I am glad we agree its good to be black in America, Seriously, I understand it can be hard being black, but its hard being white. My work is fine. My problem is the fact blacks commit more crime, yet cry racism when they get charged with the crime, and cry racism because more blacks are in prison.

| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/29/2007 8:21:31 PM | Does Canada have the same problem with blacks that America has. Seems like it. A special school for blacks is being discussed.
http://www.thestar.com/News/Ideas/article/274911
From junior kindergarten to Grade 12, African-centred schools with black teachers, Swahili rituals and an African-based curriculum have become a popular and seemingly successful way to boost marks and morale among urban black children often left behind by mainstream public education.
I am for improving education, but is the reason for "white schools' not being allowed a way to hold white people back. I mean, obviously, segregation works for blacks, why cant we have an all white school so our urban whites can improve?

| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/29/2007 9:17:32 PM | From junior kindergarten to Grade 12, African-centred schools with black teachers, Swahili rituals and an African-based curriculum have become a popular and seemingly successful way to boost marks and morale among urban black children often left behind by mainstream public education. Do you actually read the articles you post from or just pick the little pieces that suit you?
That quote is referring to the American "black-focused" schools.
The important quotes for the Canadian experience are
While it is not clear if a racially segregated type of school designed for a society with a history of slavery would translate to Canada, a country built largely on immigration, many Canadian eyes are turning south of the border to see how such schools work. And likely the model won't work as well here but it is being considered as an alternative program (we have a great many alternative programs for kids with a with a wide range of needs like First Nations programs for example).
The consideration being the same reasons as highlighted in the quote below
Whether private, public or the independent "charter schools" so popular in the United States, the goal of an African-centred school is to create a black community of positive adult role models; a kind of urban village that feels like family, say educators, where children are guided to look past the negative caricatures of blacks in pop culture and see their future as players in the wider world. The negative stereotypes of blacks, and the messages they send, that still dominate American-made media (music, film, tv) is seen as portraying negative role-models for black kids (the majority of whom, in Canada at least, are first to third generation immigrants from Africa and often arrive poor as a result of fleeing war-torn and impoverished countries) trying to find a place and an identity in a new country. Programs like this are being looked at as an "inoculant" against those negative role-models and a bridge to success in unfamiliar territory.
It's a shame you didn't get to watch the "panel discussion" the CBC had on this very subject a few nights ago, you might understand it better.
For all your "some of my best friends are black" protestations (some refrains never seem to change) you continue to find excuses for categorizing and separating blacks and whites.

| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/30/2007 2:16:47 AM | No, I didnt read the article. I always just read a headline then post it. Of course I read it. And yes I also posted the part that suited me. The point I was trying to make was is in the USA,there are schools for blacks. OK, focused for blacks.Something blacks fought to get rid of concerning white focused schools, yet black focused schools have come and blacks have been doing better in those school. I am all for it if it helps them. I was wondering if a white focused school would help white children advance more also, but a white focused school would not be allowed. So, is not being allowed to have a white focused school a way of holding white people back? The US has always separated and categorized people. Men vs.women, poor vs. rich, northerners vs. southerners, supervises vs. workers, politician vs. the people.,Preppys vs. geeks, the list goes on. And I know we all want and need the same things in life. Food, shelter and love. We all want to provide the best for our children. Its how we acquire these things that make us different. And the white people who dont separate blacks and whites are the people who become victims of the black people. | |

OK, focused for blacks.Something blacks fought to get rid of concerning white focused schools, yet black focused schools have come and blacks have been doing better in those school. I am all for it if it helps them. You're mixing "apples and oranges".
It was not "white focused" schools that people tried to get rid of, it was two-tiered education where all the best resources, best qualified teachers and the bulk of funding went to schools that served a white majority (and in many cases white-only) student population while black majority (and usually black-only) schools had to make due with whatever left-overs they were lucky enough to recieve. It was quite common for schools serving white-only neighbourhoods to be shiny, new-looking and chock full of resources while schools serving black-only (and not by choice) neighbourhoods looked like they were run by slumlords with so few resources that their "library" was often no more than a rolling book cart with a couple of dozen books.
What people were trying to eliminate was a school system where whites recieved a first-rate education and blacks received a "third-world" (or less) education. The goal was to balance out the funding and resources so that all schools received an equal and fair share. Nice try at re-writing the story though.
Programs like this might not even be necessary if it weren't for those who were/are so incensed over losing their privilege (where even the worst white trailer trash had more opportunity than blacks) and having to "share the wealth" that they sabotaged efforts at equality at every opportunity rather than actually try playing a part in fixing the problem (and apparently it continues today as seen in the posts in this thread where some try to portray blacks as inherently inferior or "incompatible" with whites).
And the white people who dont separate blacks and whites are the people who become victims of the black people. To paraphrase an old saying "If you aren't part of the solution then you are the problem".
Some people's children...

Da, apples and oranges, black and white.
I understand about how schools use to be. But seriously, what about a black focused school, with the best black teachers, books and other educational supplies and a white focused school with best white teachers and supplies?
|
| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/30/2007 2:56:46 PM | The whole problem with this this thread is it assumes that there is truly two groups one called "whites" and one called "Blacks" then they are divided and made to not like each other even when their interests are shared or they share more in common than with their rulers, and BOTH are conquered by the ruling class.
Look both of these "groups" are really a group of individuals who all have unique experiences. Some have been horribly mistreated by others some have not. The biggest problem about the "black" and "white" issue is the perception of the black and white part.
So, let me digest this moronic system of thought for a moment and see if I am really understanding where you "Educated" and "civilized" people are coming from who are all about this. You are telling me that all the countries from Ireland all the way to Russia and everything in between from the Norse lands down to just before Africa and all of those who where taken from there or moved from there are all "white." Somehow That this vast groups of different cultures and nations all act as one and have a conspiracy to destroy the black man?
You are also trying to tell me that all the people from south Africa to Egypt and from Ethiopia to Nigeria, all that is in between and all of those taken from there or whom moved from That this vast groups of different cultures and nations all act as one have a conspiracy to destroy the white man?
Are you serious?
I think some people need a reality check. If you buy that crap about white and black I got a bridge to sell you in the desert.
As far as making laws that employers had to hire minorities it was made because people were doing the opposite at one time. Do I think it is a well written and good law nope but, I agree with why it was done. Do I think they should revise the law and or get rid of it? Yes but, they will also have to devise a way to make things right in another way. Since we seem to rely on government to do everything for us.
I think it was a bad idea to make it based on skin color. For a few simple reasons. First not everyone of said skin color was here when there was slavery and or it' after effects etc. Though some of these do happen to influence the current day. This makes things a bit more complex that OK everyone of skin color X should receive some special treatment. So While I see where the OP is coming from I cannot say I agree with him completely. I think something must be done to repair some of the ill effects the past has definitely had on the present. I also believe that making that law in the time that it was made was a good thing. People were not hiring "blacks" and other minorities and making good ol boy clubs. That crap also had to be shut down.
What this really comes down to is people are SOOOOO UBER stupid they only see a skin color. It is a sickness called racism and prejudice. The afflicted person suffers from delusions of being able to judge a person based on what they look like. It is done by assuming that all people who look like X all will behave or be the same. It is idiotic but, even some so-called "intelligent" people fall for this crap and still get considered so by their peers.
Allow me to help some of you on the way to a cure for your disease. People are people it does not matter what color their skin is. There are just as many screwed up people in every one of your made up groups. The people of Europe and Africa both of which are continents and not races are and were loaded with TONS of different ethnicities, and sub-groups most of which at times if not even now did/do not get along and even war and kill each other. It is hardly even remotely possible that ALL "whites" or all "black" can do anything the same ever much less make a conspiracy then or now to destroy the other.
Now certainly certain groups of people that may by your idea fall into these groups you make up, might get a small but powerful group of thugs to do something shady. This does not mean that everyone in the "White" or "black" group believes the same, or even likes said groups. It is the reason their numbers are so small and their views so unpopular. If they were large groups they would not be able to make said conspiracies.
Eshu was walking down the road one day, wearing a hat that was red on one side and black on the other. Sometime after he departed, the villagers who had seen him began arguing about whether the stranger's hat was black or red. The villagers on one side of the road had only been capable of seeing the black side, and the villagers on the other side had only been capable of seeing the red half. They fought and killed each other, over the argument, until one day, Eshu came back and cleared the mystery, teaching the villagers about how one's perspective can alter a person's perception of reality, and that one can be easily fooled.
The above is a story from a religion that comes originally from Nigeria. (Yoruba) I thought it was very relevant to this conversation. I think it is good to share our perspectives and views but, also don't be surprised when someone else sees it in a different view. I would like to thank the person who made the original post because your view is highly unpopular and to some offensive. It take some balls to do that. I say this even though I disagree with most of what you are saying, because it is self centered and one sided as is most often the view of those who would complain about their perceived mistreatment.
Personally in my view I would say to you, "would you like some cheese with your whine?" You have a job am I correct? You are eating and typing on a computer? Are you otherwise happy other than the fact that some person got the job you wanted? GET OVER IT!
Far worse things going on in this world that you not getting your "dream job." If it is really your dream to have that job you'll find a way to get it or make it yourself. All the rest is your whining and self-pity party blaming everything on the "blackies."
Same goes for the the ones blaming everything on "whitey." NEWS FLASH there are people in this world who could give a F$#K and will stop at nothing to get what they want. Your options are A. Beat them, B. Join them, C. Ignore them, or, D. don't play their game make your own.
If this was a case of serious injustice you would have my compassion and support. Since it is all your perception of the situation. You will get my compassion but, only because I pity your attitude and that you are so lost that you cannot even see passed your own perception. Keep on trying to grow maybe you will grow passed this.
There is much we as the human race have to do to grow up. Being done with the foolishness of prejudice is key to start this process of becoming something other than the foolish lost creature, we have become since leaving nature and becoming the self-centered creatures, which started to think it is above everything else on this earth and somehow Gods favorite little whiner.

| Imagine a world without black supremacy Posted: 11/30/2007 4:22:19 PM | | I dont think blacks are out to destroy whites, maybe some, and I dont think whites are out to destroy blacks, again, maybe sum. I hope black people succeed, I hope they receive everything they desire. As human beings, they are no better or no worse than whites. I see a bad attitude in them. I am sure they are just running, jumping and carrying on because they are free to do so since they were freed from slavery, segregation and the horrible things they had to endure. I understand that. But, now I think its time for them to settle down. Butlaws are being made to protect this behavior. Why were they not educated 50 years ago? Because of they white man. This is true. Why are so many not educated now. They still blame the white man because of what was done 50 years ago. It absolutely does not bother me that there is a Miss Black America, Black music awards, Black history month, Black focused schools, etc. I absolutely dont want to get rid of these things. No way would I suggest getting rid of them. But, I do suggest these same things for whites. It has been established that there is more black on black crime, "due to poverty" but yet, (in the black mans eyes)its a white DAs racism that charges these offenders for crimes and a racist judge that sends them to prison. I have read, and posted I think, that blacks get sentenced to prison longer than whites, but whites are sentenced to death more than blacks. Ok, does the judge dislike white people or black people? If Al sharpton, or any one else, would get it to the public where a white man got a slap on the wrist for a violent crime, I would sign petitions to have him given a harsher sentence. But no one says anything. There is only a protest to get the black criminal a light sentence. I think the protest should be to give the white man a harsher sentence. By the way,was that a true story about the man with the hat? | |

From about the 1640s until 1865, people of African descent were legally enslaved within the boundaries of the present United States, overwhelmingly by whites, but also by some Native Americans and free black people. The vast majority of this slaveholding was in the southern United States; approximately one Southern family in four held slaves prior to the Civil War.[1] Ninety-five percent of black people lived in the South, comprising one-third of the population there, as opposed to 1% of the population of the North.[2] It goes back a little longer then 50 years.

The programs seek to increase the number of aboriginal people, women, members of visible minorities, and people with disabilities, to reflect their actual representation in the labour force or in the working age population. gov.sk.ca/news?newsId=d425d9bd-ea27-4d10-b640-8f613d10862e
In English, it means. that if the percentage of aboriginal people is 15% women is 30% members of visible minorities is 10% people with disabilities is 5% Caucasian male. Which is not in the act. is 40% Which means that you should have the same percentage of each in your employment. If that is not a quota then what is?

It's a statement of intention is what it is. Where is the legal mechanism?
Also the amusing thing is that why do you think it is that these groups are so vastly under represented in government positions?
Almost like their is a historical bias towards white males.
Apparently some level of equity=supremacy
