How small minded most of you are . . .

He/she only wears jean's He/she dose not have a good job He/she dos'e not have a car that I like ! He/she dos'e not even have a car He/she lives more than 20 miles away He/she dos''e not like the thing's I like
No wonder the world is so F_cked up with people with mind sets like you lot seem to have . . . are there any normal people still out there ?
But then normal ?? what is that to people who have mind set's like that !!!!!!!

We all type away all day at our desks in the office with msword spell checking as we type so why can't someone make a typo when sending u a message, seems to me your very fussy, no the wonder your single, certainly not the kind of woman i'd like to meet.
Its life not some pathetic little english test

We all make typos from time to time, but if someone repeatedly emails me with misspelled words in every email, that says to me that the person is not interested enough in me to care about how he constructs his emails.
It is not a pathetic English test as you put it, it is a testimony to someones integrity and respect, at least it is for me.........

| If someone emails you with misspelled words and bad grammar, do you respond? Posted: 3/1/2008 9:37:31 AM | | A person may have poor grammar and spelling abilities and still be quite intelligent. Some of us are simply poor spellers no matter what we do. If the medical school admissions board had judged my scores on the English portion of the MCAT too harshly I probably would not have been a physician for the past 18 years. Thankfully my Biology scores were phenomenal. Your gift may be English and grammer but others may be endowed with different gifts that you are unaware of. A persons spelling ability is not always an indication of how they will communicate verbally. Don't be too harsh with them! | |

| If someone emails you with misspelled words and bad grammar, do you respond? Posted: 3/1/2008 9:45:56 AM | I feel the same as you. I take into account keys that stick on keyboard and fast typing and hitting an occasional wrong key. If the rest of what he wrote is longer than 2 or 3 sentences and very intellent sounding in content then I ignore the few misspelled words. I also check my emails for typos before sending.
But if the man has every other word mispelled and I cannot make sense of what he was trying to say, then I politely write a short return email, "Sorry, not interested". Conversation and connecting intellectionally is very important to me and if I cannot find intelligence in what is written, despite a few grammatical mistakes, I already know he would not be a match.

| If someone emails you with misspelled words and bad grammar, do you respond? Posted: 3/1/2008 9:56:55 AM | I will always check to see if they are new to the country and if they are, that often means English is not their first language. I have met some very charming European women on here who struggle with the English language. As an example just the other day I came across a beautiful Russian woman. Her profile was filled with spelling and grammar mistakes. However her intelligence did come through in what she said. You can't fault a person if they are just learning the language. Once I get to know them I often ask if the would like me to help them with their English. They almost always say yes. I will say I wish there was some form of spellcheck on here. My brain works faster than my hands and I always make typos. However I do re-read what I have written several times in order to make sure things are spelled correctly. | |

| If someone emails you with misspelled words and bad grammar, do you respond? Posted: 3/1/2008 10:16:26 AM | Well, the last time i tried to put a molyscrew into a wall, the brand new clock i was trying to hang fell off and took my chairail (sp???) with it --- but i can sure appreciate a person who knows what to do with his hands in this regard. I understand a bogey from a birdie, even though the only way i'll ever get a golf ball into any cup in under 37 shots will be to carry it there. Without my glasses i can't cross a small street without risking walking into a car, but my "vision" has always been pretty good from my instincts to my foresight. My knees won't be running any more marathons, but i'm still "running".
And your point might be????

I think that if someone can't take the time to present themselves in a positive way on a website where you can take as much time as you like putting together your profile, they aren't likely to put much effort into a relationship with you. Also, it's sometimes just a lack of education, and that wouldn't appeal to me personally.

Posted: 3/1/2008 11:50:09 AM | I love the way you think. i can't believe that misspelled words and not so perfect grammer would stop anyone from finding "The Perfect Life". I do hope that some how they are getting the idea of why their still single? they need to get over themselves and with any luck they'll find a semi-perfect life... Maybe your mate won't spell so good but he will take out the garbage and he won't cheat. There are many ways to get around things, just have them tell you they love you instead of writting it...

You are both so spot on,
What is wrong with the other half of the world ? maybe they have all been bullied at school in there English class !!
Then again if they are that small minded to be upset by misspelled words and bad gramma then maybe they see life just in wright and wrong's: black & white . . no shades and no colour ??
I am thinking they are the type of people that never "think outside of the box" or "colour outside of the lines"
So sad ? . . . | |

| If someone emails you with misspelled words and bad grammar, do you respond? Posted: 4/17/2008 7:29:07 PM | I love that answer . The truth be told no one knows what kind of person is behind the chat, emails . Take me for instance.....Almost died at age 11 from Meningitis . Pulled though despite Drs. telling my Father I would not make it . Lost almost 90 decibels in the left ear and all in my right . . So my point is I am very smart BUT can't hear to pronounce words correctly but spell by trial and error . Under no ones rule would I be called a MORON and anyone that calls anyone that is indeed showing us who the one that has no kindness or understanding of human beings and how different we all are. The golden rule if it will hurt someone don't say it ..... Shallow indeed is more a telling thing than the misspelled words ..Id go with the "moron" before the self centered person every time. | |
