| dating at work Posted: 11/10/2005 2:32:22 AM | | I wouldn't - I've had the opportunity, but it just isn't kosher...the fact is that if it ends badly, you still have to work with that person everyday, which would not be comfortable....and even if it is good, you are open for office gossip, and everyone would be watching your every move....all in all...not a good idea! | |

| dating at work Posted: 11/10/2005 4:53:34 AM | | No, never done it, and I dont plan to ever do it either. I just think it is not appropriate, I don't mix business with pleasure, and besides I want to keep my private life, "PRIVATE" | |

| dating at work Posted: 11/11/2005 1:10:46 AM | i dated someone that i was working with side by side everyday.it worked out fine from our standpoint.but our other coworkers were jealous of it and always were sticking their noses where they did not need to be.it ended after about 4-5 months.i lost respect for the people i worked with who stuck thier noses in my business.soon after our relationship ended i left that job and started my own business.f*** the corporate world.
i am like alot of others in the fact that most of women i meet are at work and yes i would do it again and handle the politics of it alot better.

| dating at work Posted: 1/27/2006 8:15:57 AM | I know that I've responded to a similar thread but here goes. Based on my years working in Human Resources, I've had to deal with the fall out of people who have dated/messed around at work. It is not a particularly easy mess to clean up and I have seen people's careers come to a halt, where they're only option was to resign. It really does not reflect well on either party. I've said it before but I will say it again, do not fish off the company pier.

Have you or do you do it ?
Have not done it since I was a teen. Where I work now, 90+% of the employees are guys, and of the other 10%, most are married middle-aged women. Not really any opportunities even if I wanted to date at work, and I don't!
I have seen several situations end VERY badly, and there have been 3 or 4 sexual harassment cases that I'm aware of.
So at work, it's strictly business...
