| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/1/2005 7:14:06 PM | War Hunger
What makes us stronger than the world Who has the right to write anymore All the wisdom is hidden , locked in the drawer For the Main Man to figure out , and blast down your door What makes us stronger than the world War Hunger Im full , I cant eat anymore War Hunger Im starving , I cant eat anymore
So they send me to the frontline To deliver the burden of news If money was no issue , I wouldnt have to choose A life of riches amongst poor , yet we still ask What we fighting for......What makes us stronger than the world War Hunger Im full , I cant eat anymore War Hunger Im starving , I cant eat anymore

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/1/2005 8:29:49 PM | White Stained Fence
I see it from a distance, And it puts me in a trance, I cannot help but stare, Pretending I am there, I see the color stand out, And it makes me want to shout, All I see is the color white, Standing out amongst the night, I walk right up to this white stained fence, Where all my dreams commence, Taking me to places that are unknown.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/1/2005 11:39:30 PM | Soldiers wake up
Soldiers wake up, knowing there are missions ahead. A cold, distant, and dark morning, eating away at their body. In a strange land. Hesitant, they will continue with a gun in hand. There is no choice; they will rise with their bodies hurt and sore. They will watch out for each other on the field. They all know they must continue. Their minds are focused, straight on the task they so much hate. For they will be in the midst of danger on the battle field, Advancing with pain, injured, and tired. They simply ignore it. This is what they train for. Then after so long, with the suns beating rays battling them. They find this land dry, dark, and dead. Silent and sedate. That’s all they knew. For they watch each other, like brothers they know this day’s battle will be over. Injured and hurting with scars, and blood and sweat. The day will get dark and cold, The same way it is in the morning. For now they load up, heads held strong, with sorrow, loneliness, yearning, yet accomplishment. Their mission is done for the day; they mournfully eye each other, knowing they can't go home. But remembering sadness and brothers for they have to continue, the next day, and the next. For this is a war for freedom, every day. Someone has to pick up the pieces, a wife, aunt, sister, mother, cousin a family. They know little of those who support them. Let's show our warriors we have hearts. God bless our soldiers.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 1:52:34 PM | Destiny
In my head is where you stay, Helping me through every day, When ever I get hear your voice, It makes my heart dance and rejoice, Because there isn't anyone else for me, Since in your arms is where I like to be, I love to look into your eyes, Because I see only truth no lies, There is no need for me to be blue, Because your love for me is true, I always have a smile on my face, Even when we do need our space, Because I know that I have you, And you also have me too, There is no other place I want to be, Then living our love's destiny.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 3:46:16 PM | Innocent Lane
I walk down this Lonely Street, With no shoes on my feet, Having nothing on my mind, While smiling at those that are kind, I skip to the beat in my head, As I arrive to the corner of Lonely and Dead, I hurry to cross Dead Street, Not caring that no shoes are on my feet.
I take Lonely Street as far as I could go, And my feet are saying no, I need some shoes so I take a rest, At the nearest shop I buy the best, Now I stop and eat a bite, Thinking hard with all my might, Trying to figure out which way to go, But that is something I don't know.
I need to find my way back, But these skills I tend to lack, I take Dead Street to Empty Plain, Looking for Innocent Lane, But it seems no where in sight, And I try with all my might, Just when I seem to give up hope, I come to Angel's Cope.
I now know that I'm almost there, Back to those that always care, I see in my sights my house with white stain, On the street of Innocent Lane, I arrive inside the iron gate, Hoping that I'm not too late, I look at the door and my parents hollar, And my dog comes running with his spiked collar.
I hollar back to tell them im here, Along with a case of their favorite beer, I walk up to them with a smile on my face, Knowing that I made it back to my place, They think that there was something wrong, Because I was humming a different song, My family loves me and keeps me sane, In our house on Innocent Lane.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 4:06:32 PM | where lost things go
no place to go no place to hide no one for the weak and weary to guide you are gone but still you are here always pushing me away but keeping me near confusing is the truth sometimes while the meaning gets lost you are king for the moment but at what cost screaming at myself because I cannot let me let you go the more I love the more I try the more anger and hatrid you show feeling what you call love blow after blow how did I let myself get down so low I am done, I've learned my lesson this time I have to get away and find the life I once called mine like so many times before I say "you'll pay for this crime" but a soft smile, and the sweetest sorry melts my heart changes my mind and brings me hope for a fresh start many nights pass with passion in the air but with an empty bottle I see that old familar deamon in your stare brusies replace soft promises as love tortures me once more this time I am leaving for sure only this time I won't make it to the door I should've left when I had the chance before but now my soul is lost and I am no more

It Was Magicsex, Man
I have a story to tell you. one I think you ought to know. It's one about Love , one about heartache, one about feelings , you know? I met a beautiful Woman with a smile that could light up a room. well,.................. I took my heart and placed it in her hands , she said "We'll be together real soon"
Well, she had a Man in the Air Force, with Me and Her flying real low. I couldn't see, was it Him or Me, and why was She treating Me so.
Susan oh Susan my lover you said you would always be true you never told me, that I was to Deceive now You got Me thinking like you .
Never did you even mention the babies that you and He made. so why is it me , that's feeling deceived. It was I who Deceived, and Betrayed.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 8:10:12 PM | Daddy dearest can I drive the car? I promise I won't go that far, I just want to go see a friend, Who lives just around the bend, I will be back before it gets dark, And out front is where I will park, I really want to be able to go, But I know that you will say no, But she is expecting me to be there, And if i dont show, she might not think I care, That would really made both of us mad. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 8:48:09 PM | I'm all for poetry. I don't want to intrude on a beautiful piece of space here on POF, but I will add a poem that I wrote in the Autumn of 2003. This has got to be my favorite of all the ones I have written.
Autumn
Autumn brings things of change working till the sun sets down paints a canvas of many colors Till ol' man winter comes around
She is vibrant in color has a chill on her breath making her the bride of ice and holding the hand of death
Winter has come to pass Autumn awakes from her rest from tree to tree and branch to branch She holds Spring upon her breast
Enjoy Dan | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/2/2005 9:38:36 PM | Ready Soldier
Im sick of people not being real on the street Dont clap my parade , i just want to go to sleep Internally twisted from realities bite mark Your heart felt message was weak , So I gotta start Ready Soldier I always remember what you told me Pa Ready Soldier I always remember what you told me Pa
I never listen to the hype showering down the mediarite I see the TV and play guitar , and hope we never go that far For peace divides war , war divides peace , where in the middle does everyone want to meet Its a shame that a brother cant talk to me no more He's been fighting on the frontline , and for the rest of his life , if he makes it alive A part of my bro will have died , Dont get me started on reality your soldier sympathy is fake Respect the real world , there are innocent lives at stake On both sides you have to see There brothers just like me
Ready Soldier I always remember what you told me Pa Ready Soldier I always remember what you told me Pa
