| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/16/2005 2:18:25 PM | Book of Life
My book of life is always there, For someone to stop and stare, To turn it page by page, Read my life at every stage, I have nothing to hide, They can read what I've tried, Maybe you could be reading my book, Or just stopping to take a look, I have been through so many things, But I have no clue what the future brings, It could be happy or it could be sad, Or something to make me extremely mad, I don't let it get to me it might bring me fear, Or even make me shead a tear, If it did, I would just wipe it away, Because I know tomorrow is a new day, Which is something to look forward too.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/16/2005 2:44:20 PM | I fell ill with a spring cold this past day, And in bed is where I was to stay, I layed there with the covers up to my head, I was gonna turn on the light, but fell asleep instead, I also heard some bad news the other day, That made me get on my knees and pray, My little kitten was positive for something bad, That made me feel really sad, I still have a sore throat and stuffy nose, That makes me ache down to my toes, I am getting better one day at a time, At least my poems are still in rhyme, I might leave and lay back in bed, And stack my pillows where I'll rest my head, I am still feeling a little bit ill, And I have a coat on incase I feel a chill, But I need to do some research on something, Hopefully good news is what it will bring. | |

A Tall COLD
I caught this cold one sunny tall day one that I knew was lurking in the callous fray. This cold no one wanted but, it had a mind for one so daunted This cold found a host a warm body just like toast. Why would this cold find a place to stay, in one that’s so full of play? Why would this cold like to be haunted, by a body that now is so flaunted? Why would this cold seek out a post in one that might be a ghost?
This cold is no stranger, to those of us who are always in danger. This cold is a strong fellow with a voice and lungs that now bellow. This cold fights in the trenches of those parts of me that wrenches. Why does this cold want to linger in one that is no longer a wringer? Why doesn’t this cold make me mellow while I lie down on my pillow? Why does this cold seek vengeance, on one who only seeks repentance?
This cold is a lousy mate, for anyone that eats off a plate. This cold is now ever so ripe, for anyone that doesn’t like tripe. This cold is just the shits, for anyone who is in the pits.
Why me, my body calls out? For the sake of degrees! Was the cold's decree.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/16/2005 3:29:42 PM | I sit here fighting off the chills, Thinking of all the wonderful thrills, He put me through that glorious night, And he did everything right, To make me go and beg for more, Making love on the floor, I thought I would behave that night, But he made me feel all right, I know that night we were both drunk, And made love in his trunk, He has a blazer where the back seat folds down, We both climbed in back and went to town, I don't regret a thing that happened that night, Because with him everything felt right. | |

This is for my 2nd cousin
We welcome you to this world called earth, From the moment of your birth, Before then you were just a twinkle in their eye, Now they have a reason to cry, You are their tiny little treasure, And their smiles no one can measure, Your book of life is open to its first page, Since you were born that is the first stage, Before you begin to walk you will begin to crawl, And once you walk, you might take a fall, When you talk your first words will be mom and dad, And that will make them both extremely glad, They love you so very much and that is true, And everything you do, they will see you through.
Welcome baby Ava Jolie born June 15 8lbs 6oz.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/17/2005 8:33:52 AM | My throat is still sore but I still talk, My legs still ache but I still walk, I ask myself will this cold end? Will I ever be on the mend? I hope this only lasts one more day, Inside is where I don't plan to stay, I want to go out and greet a day so new, And bask in the sun that is shining through, But these things seem so far, And I wish on every star, To get better just a little each day, Where I can go out to "play", I enjoy everytime I get to go out, But when I'm inside I just want to shout, I don't like being all sore and sick, Sometimes I feel like I've been hit by a brick, I get so sore I don't want to move one bit, All I want to do is either lay down or sit, When I'm sick nothing puts me in the mood, I sometimes get a B*tchy attitude.
Yes I am still feeling a bit ill, going on day three and I have no medicine to take, I guess I have to take a trip up to the local pharmacy to get something. lol.

Courage, I never understood it.
I asked my father, What is courage?
And he said. . .
When you see someone with a broken heart, And you do not know this person, You ask them, Are you are okay? You offer your time to them, That is courage in time of despair.
When someone is dying and you grasp their hand, To keep them company in their last moments, That is compassion and most important courage in the hour of death.
When somone you do not know is about get hit by a car, And you push them out of the way to save their life in disregard to your own, That is bravery and most important courage in light of danger.
When you see Death coming for your brother, sister or friend And you step in offering to take their place, That is self sacrifice and most important courage when it is not even your time.
When you were born, I could have left your or stayed and be a part of your life, I chose to stay and sacrifice my life for you and mother, That is what a father is to do and most important courage when I have the power to make a difference.
When you are in love and you wish to tell that someone your feelings, And you get on one knee and you tell them you love them so, And that you wish to spend the rest of your life with them, That is one of life's ultimate act of love and most important courage when in the face of rejection.
I looked at my father and told him, I understand now, Courage, It helps you to make a difference in someones life.
I understand now. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/17/2005 4:11:10 PM | I dress all in black and grab my gun, For this night I'm out on the run, No one stops me they all let me go, This is going to be one bloody show, I finally get to the spot where the others wait, For the guards to cross in front of the gate, We pick the lock quickly and run inside, While we find a good spot to hide, None of the guards saw us run past, My adrenaline is flowing I don't know how I can last, I grab my gun which is at my side, As I creep out from where we hide, I aim my gun at the guard on my right, And I have his heart in my sight, I pull the trigger and let the bullet soar, THUD! I see the guard drop to the floor, The other guard runs to his buddy on the ground, And listens quietly to see if he makes a sound, No sound was heard not even a gasp, I still have my gun in my grasp, The end of it smoking and quite warm, The rest of the guards run out like a swarm, We all stand up and shoot never missing a beat, The guards drop right off their feet, The lot was full of bodies and blood, Some of it mixing in with the mud, I searched the bodies for the key that we need, To finish off this evil of a deed, But to my surprise off in the distance, Sirens a blazing we didn't stand a chance, We run to the gate as quickly as can be, But it seems already too late for me, For I was hit in the leg by a guard's gun, Making it extremely hard for me to run, I see my friends make it through those iron bars, As I take one last looooong look at the stars, I am ready to die I put up one hell of a fight, On this extremely bloody night, I hear the sound of many bullets being fired, Ripping through my flesh I begin to feel tired, Blood pouring out from every wound and hole, Allowing someone to finally to steal my soul, My body gets cold as I drop to the ground, I don't even bother making a sound. | |

to be or not to be free, freedom indeed
to be given to all whom breath not to be containted by powers that be

to be a liberator of the oppressed not to be a slave another possesed
to be an individual on your own terms not to be weak always stand firm
to be wild at heart walk as a lion not to be afraid fly like the eagle

| Poetry Collection Posted: 6/18/2005 10:49:13 AM | Night Out at the Club/Bar
The music cranks out a dancing beat, And I feel it from my head to my feet, I cannot help but get up and move, While I get down to this kind of groove, I dance around and move my feet, While I listen to this crazy beat, I cannot seem to stop it's too much fun, And my day seems to have just begun, If anyone wants to join me just jump on in, It's not something to be considered a sin, Start moving your feet around the floor, I know you are begging me for more, I need a break so I go and sit, And you dance with someone else for a bit, My break is done so I get back out on that floor, I start dancing alone but soon joined by more, None of them were girls they were all men, I swear I was surrounded by ten!! Each one danced with me when the songs were slow, I didn't care I just went with the flow, Last call was placed at the time of one-thirty, Now I knew it was time to get "dirty", The last guy who asked me to dance, Took my hand so I'll give him a chance, He led me out of that bar so we could talk, We sat down at a table until I was sober enough to walk, Both of us had a good conversation that night, He smiled at me and gave me a hug then walked out of sight.
