| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/8/2005 9:46:27 AM | Today my dad gave me a chore, That I find quite a bore, And that was to cut the grass, If I had my choice I would pass, Because even if there is a breeze, I would still fight off a sneeze, It's something about being outside, Because my allergies don't want to hide, I also hate cutting the grass cause my hands turn green, That makes for quite an unusual scene, I am covered with pieces of grass, That went air bound with every pass, I really do hate this one chore, But its done so I don't have to do it anymore. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/8/2005 6:59:17 PM | I look at the mirror and all I can see, Is the pain and tears that are inside me, I cannot help but sit and cry, Because the pain hurts so bad and all I can say is why? Why do you have to continue to drink? Did you ever just stop to think? Do you know how much this affects others? Your daughter is growing up her life is just blurrs, But all you can do is just sit back and drink, This news just makes my heart sink, It makes me sick I cannot take it anymore!!! This really hurts me, all the day to my core, You cannot see how your drinking affects me, I cannot take anymore, open your eyes and see, I am not a baby you can just hold on too, You cannot see all the things I can do, I doubt that you ever will get to see, Who I am and what I can be, I am hurt and extremely mad, But I should be extremely glad. Can't you tell the pain I am going through? You should stop drinking, that is what you should do!!!! Dad, I love you but I cannot take anymore pain, Because I feel like I already have been slain, If this continues I will end up slipping away, No matter how hard you try to get me to stay.
This one was posted in Fellfromheaven's thread. I once again am being hurt by my father's actions. I guess there is nothing I can do. I have tried everything.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/9/2005 12:15:46 AM | 4082 Tears of a Thirsty Heart 09 July 2005
Her eyes were of mirrored soul where pain and tears rested inside Unable to escape—yet drop as to water the anguish driven from mercy to deprive
To ask out loud the question why for would this ever stop in consequence A daughter loving—to him she adored trapped in her father’s world
Growing to hate his misgivings where her heart was to crumble Such sickness - driven to thirst while an empty glass she could endure
This love to amour so strong she felt her father’s remorse Knowing all she wanted Was for him to stop and think Of this intoxication drowned in degrees moist with drink
"for Cat's"
“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4: 13-14 KJV

Williams - Ferrari - McLaren Jaguar and Renault Centered on Budapest when Formula One racing was on show On a date with destiny for Alonso
Where the twenty-two year-old Spaniard went forward to lock up first place Leading Michael Schumacher and all the rest in putting a smile on the Renault driver’s face
To better the age old record set some time back When the man behind the McLaren name began his debut heading the pack
A New Zealander with an eye focused on speed Having been the youngest to win before most others were old enough to read
For it came to pass in a folklore of Bruce McLaren’s success To be measured by Fernando Alonso in address
The August day the Spaniard was number one on the grid Going right and left and finishing first he did
Justice served and justice made in haste Along with ten cylinders of an engine on the pace
In holding the victors trophy high in the air Of a result the youngest-ever Formula One Grand Prix winner knew was certainly fair
Nearing 44 years since New Zealander, Bruce Leslie McLaren (1937-1970) [the name behind the British based McLaren World Drivers’ Championship Formula One team] won the United States Grand Prix at Sebring, Florida, USA on 12 December 1959. | Poetry Collection Posted: 7/9/2005 3:06:04 PM | Pain So Deep
My heart feels like it has been ripped apart, Because once again you chose to drink, I know you don't want to make me slip away, But drinking is not how to make things work, I know you don't have a problem with me, But still I ask myself why, If there is anything I can do to help, Or just leave you the heck alone, Everytime you drink, my heart rips, Now it has completely ripped in half, And now you place the blame on me, Which doesn't make the pain better, I guess it's time that I just slip away, Because I seem to not be wanted here, Dad stop please, your hurting me inside, That is all I ask of you.

Yesterdays child today’s dream My inspiration in full color and scene
Her words the soul as if an invention to wheel Gifted and understood and no need in friendship to steal
Since today she sent me a message making my life change right away For it was God who had guided her forth in this gift of understanding going my way
How happy I was just to know she was next to me in thought Like all in surety was given of conscience won and not fought

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/10/2005 12:13:00 AM | Real "CAR" Poems - by a poet to the cars -
3135 An All Day Sunday 13 October 2003
Two New Zealanders and a German the world apart On a Sunday beginning while half the planet was in the dark
To in Australia be ready for a one thousand kilometre dash Followed in Japan by the final seasonal Formula One clash
As the clock ticked on and the Earth turned towards the sun Because in the USA there was the Indy Racing League series championship to be won
Where events were to unfold on a Sunday to seek Given the appearance of an all day Sunday lasting a week
There on the Mount Panorama slopes starting on no ordinary Australian morn Greg Murphy was historically on top in a triumph of one New Zealand born
With his V8 Supercar partner in time an Australian to his own record set When it was that final lap in becoming the youngest ever “Bathurst” victor yet
So it was to come to pass - as there came an ending - another began In the combined result after the Formula One Grand Prix of Japan
Even if Michael Schumacher managed to only finish his race in place eight He was good enough to earn a sixth World Drivers Championship upon his plate
While as the planet took a further turn the twist of the tale was Australian born yet a New Zealander if but by birth As Scott Dixon earned himself the title of Two Thousand and Three I-R-L series champion in value and worth
To have been a Sunday all around the world in sight With an endeavour of rewards where day had no night
It may have been 1.00 pm in New Zealand when the signal was given to begin the Bathurst 1000 at 10.00 am at Mount Panorama (NSW, Australia). Yet whether it was in New Zealand or Australia the date remained the same — 12 October 2003. Where New Zealand born Greg Murphy in sharing the Kmart Racing Holden Commodore VY with Australian Rick Kelly. Was to achieve his third Bathurst 1000 victory. [following those of 1996 and 1999] combined with Rick Kelly earning his first Bathurst 1000 title. To at 20 years old of age becoming the youngest ever winner of the Bathurst 1000. In overtaking a record set when Murphy aged 24 years and Craig Lowndes at 22 years of age became the youngest ever pairing to win the annual Mount Panorama endurance event.
When later on the same day in Japan, German Michael Schumacher finished the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix in eighth position. Was to earn his sixth World Drivers Champion crown — to be the only person ever to have held six world titles in Formula One. A year after achieving his fifth Formula One world title in 2002.
But when it appeared Sunday was over — at least in the South Pacific. In Texas in the USA, New Zealand raised twenty three year-old Scott Dixon [who was actually born in Australia to New Zealand parents by their origin of birth. Living in Queensland at the time of Scott’s birth] made headlines in becoming the 2003 Indy Racing League champion. For a race foreshortened by five laps after a major accident brought proceedings to a close.
1282 Nazareth 02 June 2001
History was made at Nazareth with a young New Zealander Born to race as for Scott Dixon this appeared to be the case
His Champ Car starting far back on row twelve Not that this would stop the forward advance
While the Toyota engine carried less thirst In racing single file around an oval shaped course
To become the youngest winner of the present time On a day when the strategy certainly paid off
In his first season racing Champ [CART] Cars in the United States of America in 2001. After moving up from a prior season of Indy Light cars raced in the USA in the year 2000, New Zealander, Scott Dixon was a rookie (in his first race on an oval circuit, and third in a Champ Car) in round three of the Champ Car season held at Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA. He started on the grid after qualifying in position twenty three. Yet went on to win the race although he was the youngest driver in the field at 20 years of age. To become the youngest person ever to win a CART [Championship Auto Racing Team] Champ Car race on that day at Nazareth, USA.
The only other race driver to win a Champ (Indy) Car race in a similar standing, previously, was Britains Nigel Mansell and that was after he had already been the Formula One World Champion. Therefore was much older and by far more experienced than Scott Dixon at the time.
1416 Born to Race 29 October 2001
Born in Australia and New Zealand raised Scott Dixon races in cars in a series USA staged
Such are the exploits of this new rookie to boot When he tackles CART racing on board an Indy car pursuit
A Kiwi star to shine not an Aussie to claim Overseas on a quest to become a motorsport name
This rivalry to be the best upon a global stage Such a success in what he does at such a tender young age
At 20 years 9 months of age Scott Dixon became the youngest-ever driver to win a CART Champ Car race with victory in the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix at Nazareth Speedway, Pennsylvania, USA. After this round three win, 6 top 5 and 11 top 10 finishes in other Champ Car races for the 2001 season, Dixon was assured the crown of Rookie of the year in the CART FedEx Championship Series. His previous experience the year before racing Indy Light cars in the United States of America. Had assisted towards Dixon ending his first year of competing full-time in Indy (Champ) Cars on such a high note. Billed as a New Zealander, the fact Scott Dixon was born in Australia [Townsville] to parents of New Zealand nationality and was raised in New Zealand. Yet this sets up a hint of further friendly rivalry between the two nations.
With Dixon transferring to the IRL [Indy Racing League] in 2003 and coming away with being the overall 2003 IRL series champion.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/10/2005 1:01:14 AM | 3939 What are Friend’s 4 29 April 2005
What are friends for when we need them the most As to an inner heart of making this warmth as if fresh toast
Then what does the drunk do when they have reached the end Sure is not easy of intoxication to in soul and mind pretend
Where as friendship we have much to learn in trust Like this in badge of honour was certainly a real true must
In putting on a front to that of hurt then to a friend dirt is still dirt But to that of spoil in a richness of child subliminal in multitude and let to run wild
“For many are called, but few are chosen” Matthew 22: 14 KJV
“Behold, there are many called, but few are chosen. And why are they not chosen? Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this one lesson—We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion. Hence many are called, but few are chosen.” Doctrine and Covenants 121: 34-35, 39-40

Inspiration and perspiration going hand in hand As he keeps writing composing - dreaming poems and she keeps reading interpreting and understanding
While together they share in thoughts and bits and pieces of each life with love true On par of a friendship in growing continuing to be stronger two

4012 Condition of Love 02 June 2005
Love is a condition upon a feeling unfeigned To like - to desire too consideration at times unclaimed
In which the happiness was a spirit from within given to open heart To understanding kindness to all in part
Of another as essential to that of your own This reflection of mirror understated in meaning to atone

“Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass [mirror] the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3: 16-18 KJV [word in brackets added]

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/10/2005 12:03:17 PM | The phone keeps ringing off the hook, Making me go completely nuts, All I do is take a small look, To see who was bugging me, I realize that it was my dad, Who kept calling me on the phone, It was starting to make me mad, With everytime the phone rang, What made it worse was the question he had to ask, Every five minutes that he did call, While he ran his small little task, And that was if I needed anything from the store, It was annoying and I did wish he quit, With every phone ring it was getting annoying, I almost took his phone and threw a fit, Just so he would leave me alone. | |

My Heavenly Father to return to you I’d rather But this time it makes no sense unless one truly repents
My wonderful friend love I do not pretend Yet I am lost in a place unable to see your face
My passing trend I know hearts will mend For you are all so real thanks for every meal
My day tomorrow a moment old I grow Thanks to you I do have a clue

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/10/2005 9:36:20 PM | 1264 Rachel's Story 28 April 2001
Rachel was beautiful and well favoured Jacob loved her as for seven years he laboured
In his eyes it was but a few days For the love he had to her was long lasting in many ways
Her father Laban had ideas of his own with an older sister Leah to wed So it is the works found in the Book of Genesis said
For Laban said it was not done to give the younger before the firstborn To Jacob came feelings of betrayal as his heart began to mourn
In agreeing to take tender eyed Leah as his wife He did further labour in order to secure the love of his life
Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah although he was married to sisters both Not that the Lord was ready to assist with this families growth
Unto Leah He gave Jacob a son Yet for Rachel there would be none
Time brought many sons forth when Rachel felt left out Her anger expressed in envy her husbands desire in doubt
He married once more with further sons that shined While Rachel asked of God why He was so unkind
Jacob taking another wife with a dividend of increase As Leah considered her worth in the value of her children's lease
A daughter hence was given by birth this diamond in her father’s eyes Until finally Rachel was remembered the Lord answering her inward cries
And it came to pass Rachel had born Joseph Her joy elated at long last in this son of eternal bliss
Jacob choosing to move away taking his family to land of his own Unaware of the importance of his seed and descendant whom would atone
Many events did happen still as set forth on parchments of scroll This ballad told in part so not the story whole
And Rachel travailed once more uttering her babies name Her last breath given as her soul departed her life one of spiritual acclaim
A pillar of stones laid upon Rachel’s grave Her legacy transcending times past for He whom death would eternally save
“And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured. And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter. And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than I should give her to another man: abide with me. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.” Genesis 29: 16-20 KJV

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/11/2005 8:15:41 AM | As I wipe the sleep from my eyes, I let the sun shine on my face, Feeling it's warmth my mind begins to wander, Taking me to a whole new place, I imagine I am in strong arms, That wouldn't allow anything to happen to me, For I feel safe and secure in these arms, And I for once can feel happy, I have a smile on my face as big as a mile, Because I am always thinking of you, You love me for who I am, And wouldn't try to change anything I do. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/11/2005 12:28:28 PM | Summer's Day
The air is humid with summer heat, But a slight breeze is blowing, I hear the sound of birds chirping, And the sound of water flowing, The sun it out shining so bright, With a few clouds in the sky, This is such a lovely day, I'd hate for it to say goodbye, Neighbors are swimming or out watering their lawn, Trying to find ways to stay cool on such a hot day, But nothing beats the heat like, Eating some ice cream, what do you say??
LOL, trying to stay cool on a hot day. It will be soon when I can bask in a nice cool house.

Oh how I love you but know I can’t Oh how I love you but know your joy
A love made in heaven of a pure soul A love made in heaven of our brother in Christ
We — the childs of God oh how we do not listen We — the children of our Father oh how we do not hear
Did I tell you how I love you perhaps I did not Did I tell you how I loved you no maybe I forgot

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/11/2005 9:43:32 PM | The Night
The sun has long ago set, Leaving the moon shining bright, A sight that you could not regret, Welcoming in the night.
As the moon rises into the sky, Casting down its glow, It causes a twinkle in your eye, That only you should know.
You gaze up and let out a sigh, How you hate to leave this scene, But you must say goodbye, Even though it is serene.
You close your eyes and let your dreams ignite, For when you wake up it shall be light.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 7/12/2005 5:55:47 PM | Thoughts and Hopes
Sitting here sorting the thoughts in my mind, Trying to find something to hold on too, All those good thoughts keep slipping away, Leaving me to keep sorting through them all, Each thought of hope keeps falling through my grasp, I cannot seem to keep one in mind, I don't want to keep getting my hopes up, Then to have them crumble above me, I hate having my hope fall into pieces, So that is why I don't keep my hopes up, For if I do they would crumble around me, Leaving me feeling sad and blue.
Blah, kinda lame, but tryin to bump up my thread a bit.
