| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/13/2005 9:12:00 AM | I took a stab at a new job, It was something I wasn't used to, But I need more hours then what I get, And I didn't know what else to do, I had a bad experience, And didn't want to go anymore, But I made a list of pros and cons, And threw my stubbornness out the door, I will try this new job again, For it is more money coming in, And that is what I don't have now, I will also feel good within. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/13/2005 9:12:26 AM | | that's the whole point in the cheesecake sam, lol. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/13/2005 10:04:20 AM | Work to play or play at work? Do I have to choose? Or can I lurk Outside the box of so called norm And with my passion a good life form A boss once saw my plate was full My wieght and more I was to pull I said "No worries, I'll enjoy my time off" He smiled and said "Enjoy your time on"
I love that boss, how I miss him and the family he gave his staff. Just spewing words this morning. Thanks for the thread.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/13/2005 11:02:18 AM | A Heart's Tale
Oh foolish heart, why did you believe illusion, allow yourself to be enthralled?
Oh wicked heart, why did you fall in love, with one who couldn't love at all?
Oh stubborn heart, why didn't you choose to run, when you first felt pain?
Oh lonely heart, why did you feel so empty, in a union, that's so insane?
Oh trusting heart, why did you fall for another lie, that would be broken like the rest?
Oh broken heart, why didn't you see, that it was just another jest?
Oh wretched heart, why so surprised, so shattered, and so blue?
Oh peaceful heart, are you feeling better now, ready to start anew?

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/13/2005 5:43:29 PM | In younger years my dreams were crushed I was driven to write of my pain and mistrust It was so externalized, my fear and my need Always looking, searching, beyond what is me The lament was "why? why me? why not?" When I look back it seems like rot. It didn't help to be told by my peers The source of my pain was me, (it fell on deaf ears) But as I grew older, and learned to accept That all of this blame led to my self neglect I found the one love that matters the most The love for myself. So now I can boast I can spill out the words that I heard for so long And hope that it helps you to grow and be strong But I hold no illusion that I have much effect I know that when a person is young they expect That every pain comes from some other source "It is never My fault!" But it is of course I guess this is all just a part of the game And every unique indevidual is the same We all have to learn from our own indiscretion So try to learn how to make joy an obsession.

Take my heart Lord and bound it with twine Not to tight - just enough to be nice and kind
Grasp my soul hold me in your hand Be there Lord to help me in solemn stand
One foot - another step my Christ - my Saviour Take my heart because for you I give Grasp my soul and help me to each day of hour live

Everything Birch Is Gold
I used to play under those three trees, It was my own private space. Within my own reality, All my fantasies could take place. My private island in a sea of grass, Where my dreams could unfold. Those are some of my most treasured times. Everything birch is gold.
More of those trees, watched me hunt for "fods", Near a beach, where the water was blue. I felt safe, secure, and truly loved, Shared time with friends, and family too. There were berries that needed picking, There was a cliff, for those who were bold. Those are some of my most treasured times. Everything birch is gold.
_____
I spent a ton of time with my late grandparents, when I was a kid. They had a small patch of birch trees in their huge backyard, where I spent a lot of time playing. And, a cottage in a forest of birch, where I had many great times (errr, "fods" is who I pronounced frogs, when I was little). I will always treasure those times I got to spend with them.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/14/2005 8:29:59 AM | | nothingheavy, thanks for that one, it brought to mind some of my childhood antics. Building forts in the Birch grove, the cows came and wrecked them. We would climb up and bend the young trees over with our wieght and grab onto another, I am ammazed they survived our maulings. But the young grove has grown, like me, into adult trees that sway but do not break. They sing inthe wind and flash thier silvery undergarments. | |

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/14/2005 10:25:00 AM | Your Love
Your love is something I haven't felt before But I crave it Each day it grows more My heart beats like a drum When ever you are near That is due to chemistry Which we hold so dear The sparks remind me Of the stars in the sky Shining down telling me Go on give it a try Your smile lights up a room When ever you walk in Like it does to my heart

Someone left me in heaven someone stole the sun Then that was until you and I became kin as one
My sweet sister how I love you Only because there was no other word to do
Your belief my humanity The fact you and I are untied in the light of thee
Our God - our happening knowing in Him - He gave you Someone left me in heaven because in that - your being was true

Was grass just a blade like the clover to the seed All to fight in survival over a thistle to feed
Daily grown and nitrogen to the soil While deep below was a possible well of oil
Leaves of three lucky ones in being four Then there was a happening over flowering weeds to adore
A blade of grass the colour of green Blowing in to the wind of a New Zealand pure dream

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/15/2005 2:44:07 PM | Cheesecake
What a rich treat So smooth and sweet Makes tastebuds dance At just one glance From this lovely cake Made with no mistake Topped with cherry sauce To give it a nice red gloss Made with care For those who dare To take a taste For it might lead to a bigger waist But no one cares if they get fat Because cheesecake is good and that is that
thought I would write something that's quite funny today. hehehe.

I'm glad u liked it nothingheavy. lol.
Most definitely. If I didn't have kids to keep healthy, I'd be willing to volunteer to try living on cheesecake. I get plenty of exercise, to stay fit, and the Canadian health system could take care of my bypass, for free.

When i was just a little child no higher than your knee my mom bought a box of crayons for me i opened them up and looked inside the colors reminded me of jesus when he died Red is the color of the blood that he shed Brown is for the crown of thorns placed on his head Blue is for royality, for which he did well Yellow is for the christians who's afraid to tell i colored and i colored til my crayons were all gone even though i'm older now,my memory lingers on when i see a little child with a box of crayons in hand i tell them what it means to me hope they will understand

So many time in life we try to be number one We push we pull we fight until they're done Back-stab, cut-throat, and double-cross No matter to me, they say, I've never lost
While some days I am guilty like the rest Today is different for this is not a contest But still I smile as I push the little post button For this one will be post number nine-hundred
Congrats Angel keep it up
