FIRST STEP
Everything begins with one decision one impulse that can either set into motion life changing situations or self improving experiences. but, with out the courage to explore these impulses life stays mediocre. each new day shows those new paths most of the time life choses those paths the signs are to suttle to see the others, but sometimes we need to make our own. climb through the weeds of resistance and traverse the forests of failures. each path may lead somewhere else but they all have the smae name, FEAR. to truly over come fear is real First Step

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/27/2005 7:46:52 PM | When the wild roses fully flourish... their aromatic scent glides on wind calling to mind every person alike in rapt intensity. All illusions thrust abundantly in brilliance revealing a glory enticing a timeless... dream of ancient understanding in the name of love All within the game to endlessly entertain To reach inside grasp the soul Soften the heart filled with bliss and eternal flame Embers burn evernew to love true Blooming into something perpetual, endless, everlasting. Hearts have wings like doves flight on coveted wing Simplistic etheral beauty measured by tears Heart's own blood, soul searing pain, Joy of Love the Mirror of Wonder and sorrow The waveless pond gazing from within Intensity of eternal beguile and wonderment... By magic enthralled, upon our destiny Journey for two into the night Waiting for morning a nightengale sings Of loves' immortality and lovers lost One thing ventured transcends all pain Ends the loneliness in love's refrain
The exquisite corpse
Soft fate delivers the sensual sighs that follow upon dream never Of infamous deceits nor forgotten pleasure Passion at last motivating without movement remembered for love under fallen moons And silver stars dancing Galaxies apart Through infinite space time's delerium compass Strengthens the soul makes you whole Until................ We become one yet so separate Until the time we meet again Looking for the love without boundries For ever more, temporal whirlpools swirl In ageless sensuality, waiting for us To dance in the moonlight of endless excstasy As the fairies spinkle the magic dust..of lust... Deep within our souls...like the starlight and moonlight pirouette, Whispering in shadow, three simple words All I heard, all I feel, deep within my love foresaken heart Lies the memory of what was in all belief, magic for us Then as it is, yet still we learn only Our destine will be forever entwined In our warm embrace, with no touch Still....So much wanting and needing The human touch to give to Our endless dreams of love eternal And passion neverending
The Exquisite Corps
Written by a whole lot of cool people here on POF. Gotta love team effort.

If you never tried you never cried If you never walked you never talked
Would there ever be regret the way forward - with no turning back Why should tears only be in sadness as to those daze of happiness and joy
Living - dreaming - hoping a lonely man on an empty road For there always was tomorrow unless today had in your heart arrived
If you never tried you never cried You never lived you never died

| Poetry Collection Posted: 9/30/2005 10:33:43 PM | happydays that poem is touching
heres something i wrote tonight
I can feel your breath within my body Inches from my lips you tremble Anticipating my response Waiting as you sit and ponder Hoping I might want you too
I can feel your eyes against me Trapping me with your intent And your lips you lick so gently As your eyes you close to breath Concentrating on this moment to not regret your steps
But still you wait This time it’s harder Knowing I am only inches from your face And then you move a little closer Holding me with your direction
I can feel my boundaries shaking And my heart it beats a little faster As I sit and concentrate, just breath My feet I cross my hands are too As I turn away from you
My eyes I drop And bite my lips as hard as I can bare it To keep me from demanding pleasure To concentrate on something greater But it only lasts a second just a second as desire interrupts great pain
My face it frowns at this temptation As I start nibbling my thumb It’s out of habit not frustration, I tell myself I lick my lower lip Because I bit a little bit to hard
Then you stand from were we’re sitting And get down on one knee, so you can face me I lean back somewhat startled, this time biting my fingers, hard And then you take my tortured hand away from this formation Lingering a bit too long, so your fingers press against my parted lips
“Stop it,” You whisper harshly this demand Facing me, forcing me to look at you Staring at your deep blue eyes, I can not move away My boundaries shatter at this moment My body held down by your gaze
Trapped by you and your desire I hate myself for this surrender But still lean toured you to feel your breath cores my parted lips But you don’t move from your position Instead a questioned worry turns your face
You leave me there confused and tortured Shaken with what could have happened Trembling for your touch You walk away and leave me waiting You close the door
“I have to work tomorrow morning,” was the answer you gave me

As time ticks clocks start Those times of emotion held so far in length apart
Unable to speak hours of each globe turn Unable to join in present each second a moment of heartburn
One day ahead the other further behind Two people joined in collision captured by conscious mind
Unified in though of one another whether there was reign or shine This thunder rippling eternal to grace once in contact again an outlook fine

Vanity is a man’s heart in all her glory Vanity was blond hair blue eyes in picture to story
Her sexy shows flattering legs and high heels Vanity was a man to the view he steals
Her breasts - her platinum braids her smile - her teeth - the way she gives to man excitement in belief
Vanity was a man’s heart the path to sensation burn What was her name and what of her he could learn
Born April 17, 1967, Liz Phair was born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA and adopted by wealthy parents, who raised her in the Chicago suburb Winnetka. After High School, she studied art at Oberlin College in Ohio.
By the summer of 1992, singer/songwriter, Liz Phair signed a recording contract and began recording her debut album, Exile in Guyville, released in the summer of 1993. Whip-Smart, her second album, was heavily promoted upon its 1994 release, and despite this Phair's momentum began to decline steadily during the mid-'90s.
She took several years to record her next album. When for much of 1996, Phair worked on her third album, while in December 1996, Phair gave birth to her first child, James Nicholas Staskausas. Her long-delayed, much-anticipated third LP, whitechocolatespaceegg, finally appeared in mid-1998. Five years later, Phair returned with a self-titled effort. Liz Phair, which appeared in June 2003, giving over to Phair's by then developing into a new style and sound

Talk - torque rev it up Beer and Coffee tea in a cup
Miles and kilometres distance and speed What was it in fastening were instructions to read
Road signs of how many to take Those pills given by a Doctor to feed your painful headache

Without the trials there are no poems Without the dreams there are no points of view
Without mistakes there is no God Because without God there is no one
Without love we have no heroes Without people we have no friends
So can we do without His love No we need not ever be without Him
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. | Poetry Collection Posted: 10/14/2005 11:21:45 PM | 4448 A Belonging Heart 15 October 2005
Where does a heart belong for those who wear their heart inside out Whether to the reign - or upon a sleeve those whom love - yet live in doubt
“He loves me” - “She loves me not” like a Scots mist shadow to a Glen Along the high road toward romance this in fortitude of love to mend
Sweet was a heart made of gold in discovery of where this heart belongs A heart of honestly to desire in trust and honor as if the rhythm was all in tune of love songs
A broken heart in sadness a happy heart in gladness Where a shoulder to heart was free to wrap your arms around and glow For this poet has a heart for you that will never tire to instead grow
"The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions." Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809 - 1892) English poet

To be a writer or poet - but not able to right As if the mind did believe it was wrong to compose under this light
One line of a whisper to hear and a word out of place to mistake In having writer’s block to one whom knows how hard to overcome that can be to partake
To have stopped and started yet never truly let go Along a road of tranquility in thinking outside the square Where from within a round whole words written in time would again grow
Like timber to a tree and a chip off the block A flame to an ember and words again in mind to flock

| Poetry Collection Posted: 10/22/2005 9:21:34 PM | I wrote this when I was 17 and just came across it tonight... it made me laugh and I thought I'd share.......
Minutes Hours Seconds, second, seconds Second guess
Never second guess yourself Whether or not the guests wants seconds
Every second we live is our own...... So why the need to guess?
Guessing is a fools game...... Ever wonder what other games fools play?
(Wait that doesn't sound right)
Ever wonder what other games fools get played by?
(Yes that's much better)......

Across the skies a lonesome traveller does walk From an unknown destination to visit another place
Like a blindness to venture forth determined yet misguided to attract Attempting to discover happiness on a road of dreams to sleep
To ponder over flights of fantasy captured within two slices of bread In looking for the meet to encounter where from a heart - blood would not be shed
Wanting more of a willingness to share less taking each blow to that of fight This lonesome traveller seeking out what was just right

Sitting on the shore Watching the waves crash upon the beach Getting mesmorized at how peaceful it seems As the waves crash at my feet just out of reach The air is filled with the scents of the ocean That fill my lungs with each breath I take And I cannotseem to move from my spot As I stare out at the ocean's wake I hear the seagulls as they fly in the sky Soaring over the ocean in a sky so blue And I occasionally see a ship in the horizon As it sails along with out a clue I don't realize at how late it is Until the sun reaches the sea Turning the sky from blue to red And it seems like the sun is setting just for me I stay here watching the sun disappear And the moon rising high Turning from an orange to a bright white As it glows brightly in the night sky.

All of a sudden a life was reborn To know in you there was more to share
All of this moment of you and the world This outlook to see you and God are there
To reach up and give grace in stepping forth upon another hand Where two hearts gather as one on a day next to each other stand
What of this fantasia and those prospects to path on ahead Just to know from one heart to another each word was read

4548 Ruth in You 19 November 2005
Each month I lived every week I tried again Day by day you were there this arrow in beauty by name
Heaven gave me your address and sent you to my side Even if now and then our tracks were halted by pride
For we are kin maybe not in red blood To neither be related - except from my heart in these words of sentiment to flood
I never want to be without you of that whole you have made complete Each day - every hour - of months to count I bow my head and stay close to your feet
“And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.” Ruth 3: 14 KJV

| Poetry Collection Posted: 11/18/2005 7:49:37 PM | Sitting by a fire, On a chilly Autumn night, Cuddled together with my baby, And the timing couldn't be more right, For we shared our first kiss, And then went for a walk, Where we could be alone, To have a one on one talk, About how we felt about each other, While we gazed up at the night sky, He decided to leave for a bit, And surprised me with flowers which made me cry, I was in complete shock, It was something I was not expecting at all, My heart was beating extremely fast, And I felt like I was about to fall, Everytime I looked at those flowers, The reminded me of that night we shared our first kiss, Which is something I will never forget, Or something I will never miss.
I debated posting this poem, but I went for it anyway.

| Poetry Collection Posted: 11/18/2005 8:01:22 PM | Here is a song that I wrote for my boyfriend, I thought I would share it here. I did have a lot of free time since my computer was down.
From the Start
Your eyes have a haze that only I can see through Because I know your love for me is true Baby I want you to be by my side My feelings for you I just cannot hide I don't have a reason to what I'm trying to say The ticket in your pocket is only one way
It's a trip to my heart That only belongs to you Baby there is only one person Who I would give my heart too Which you had from the start
Your soul is pure and full of love just for me Which is something no one else could see I'm thankful that we have each other at last Even when our days seem completely overcast You find a way to turn them sunny and blue Check in your pocket to see what the key is too
It's a key to my heart That only belongs to you Baby there is only one person Who I would give my heart too Which you had from the start
You have my heart and that's the one thing I give you As long as you promise to take care of me too I'm not asking for much and this you already know I just want to be with you to let my love for you show You hold the ticket and key that allow you to my heart But you already had them from the start.
|
| Poetry Collection Posted: 11/18/2005 8:07:50 PM | Looking into my heart Tell me what do you see Could it be the love That He has for me? I feel it growing stronger And it never is enough Even when my life Sometimes seems quite rough I feel His love around me Even if I become lost He's always redirecting me No matter what the cost And if I tend to wander I know He'll take me back I would feel empty with out his love And it is something my heart shall lack His love grows stronger each day And I will never feel the same If I ever feel lonely I just have to call out his name | |
