The Beauty of the Day

The beauty of the day
With the sun shining high
Casting down it's warmth
With no clouds in the sky
To block out it's light
Before the sun sets
The shadows on the ground
Are just a perfect silhouettes
Of the things all around
As the night closes in
And the moon begins to rise
The beauty of the day
Leads to the night's surprise

Yesterday, Today or Tomorrow

Yesterday seem so long ago
It never intended to last
All the events that happened
Are just part of the past

Today is the now
The time will come
When today ends
And it shall succumb

Tomorrow is the future
A time for all to change
New things shall happen
And a life will rearrange

A single teardrop
Fell from her cheek
A battered soul and heart
Feeling so very weak
From all the abuse
That she had to take
And one relationship
Turned into a mistake
She wishes she could
Change her horrible past
So all the pain she feels
Would vanish so fast

Dewdrops cover the rosebuds
After the first spring rain
That fell during the night
Outside the window pane
When the sunlight hit
The droplets on each rose
They sparkled like diamonds
Creating wonderful shows
Of light dancing all about
From flower to flower
That was only created
By the first spring shower

As the sun begins to rise
Over top the hills
To cast out the night's
Bitter cold chills
Birds awake from
Their evening rest
And chirp to greet the day
From the trees in their nest
The air is alive with
Sounds of the dawn
To awake all other animals
Since the night is gone

Summer's light dances in the eyes
Of him as he is standing near
Like the sun dancing upon
The waves of the sea
Walking hand in hand
On the sandy shore
Hearing the waves
Crash upon the beach
Until the sun sets
Beneath the water's edge
And the moon rises
To cast out its light
And the stars twinkle
In a jet black sky

We all must search
For the finer things in life
That will leave us happy
Not creating any strife

A love to call your own
To care about you
When ever you are happy
Or when you feel blue

A passionate kiss
From the one that cares
So soft and loving
That nothing ever compares

A pair of tender hands
To wipe away any tears
Or arms that give you comfort
When you have doubts or fears

its been a while since I last wrote anything so here's a little diddy off the top of my head

I feel your presence
Even when you're not there
Your spirit surrounds me
And comforts me when I'm in dispare

I feel your lips upon mine
Every night in my dreams
And my body craves you
Far beyond all extremes

Her life is her prison
Keeping her trapped
By the darkness within
As she hides the bruises
From an abusive husband

But she loves him still
That's why she cannot let go
She is his wife

When ever he's gone
She does what she can
To try to please him
For when he returns

At night she cries
Herself to sleep
From all the pain
She has gone through

A girl and her father
Had a horrible past
Years of drinking
That was unsurpassed

It damaged her heart
And brought tears to her eyes
She didn't know why
Her father told her lies

She started to grow up
But her mom wasn't there
When she needed her the most
Life for her was so unfair

She isolated herself
To a point of most extreme
And cried herself to sleep
Just so she could dream

Her father asked for help
Which finally came at last
And their horrible relationship
Is all part of her past

Since he received help
Their relationship grows more
And things are much different
Definately not like they were before

You're gone from this world
Into the hands of the Lord
A loved child and sister
That had it's own reward

You greeted the world
With arms open wide
As Jesus called you
To be by His side

He reached out a hand
With His love in your heart
And knew it was your time
For your spirit to depart

He took you up to heaven
To make sure you wern't alone
An angel among many
Since your spirit came home

Moon silent,dark night stars shine
Captured within moonlight of thought
Dreams echo words heard by one alone
So becomes the guilt ridden horseless
Saddle your dreams, break your own heart
For what is her unknown
Shall become Her dream

I lay awake at night
Not being able to dream
Nightmares surround me
I try not to scream

I feel trapped inside
My own emotional scars
Just like I'm stuck
Behind some metal bars

I want to get out
And let these emotions go
But it feels like
I'm on a plateau.

This one I call

"The Final Step"

The world once seemed so big
In the eyes of a small girl
Not wanting to leave the comfort
Of being in her home
As she began to grow
The world started to shrink
Knowing more possibilities
Were there for her to explore
She sees her family change
Right before her eyes
As she slowly takes it all in
Her siblings left, one at a time
With families all of their own
Leaving her to ponder
On what is holding her back
She will take that final step
Forward in her life
Trying not to look back
At what she is leaving behind

The Dragon

To live like a dragon
And have wings to take flight
In order to hunt food
You must have keen sight
Hearing is also keen
For when danger is near
You never turn from a fight
Since you have no real fear
Claws and teeth are your only defense
And blood is shed for pride
Swords can barely penetrate
Your tough dragon hide
You sleep near a castle
Or in a dark cave
For glory and protection
Or to scare away the brave.

Mythical Dragon

A mythical creature
That breathes a fiery smoke
Causes all to run in fear
Or stand in it and begin to choke

The unsuspecting morsels
Running all around its lair
Are being picked off one by one
And not really giving a care

It takes one massive swipe
From its powerful tail
To leave some laying unconcious
Wishing death would slowly prevail

When the creature leaves its lair
To hunt for food every night
It must spread its massive wings
And up into the sky it takes flight
