My idea of a meaningful conversation doesn't include "Whadda ya thinka Junior changin' teams?".
Are you KIDDING? what a springboard to discuss subjects like loyalty, stepfamily dynamics and the importance of funding to a talented athlete or performer? The economic impact of professional sports in general? And Kudos to Ricky Rudd for a 32 yr career. Cindy O

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 3:06:26 PM | Compared to the other athletes in sports, the people in NASCAR seem to be in a class by theirselves as they don't have all the DUI, assults, domestic violence, dog fighting, steroids usage, and other legal issues...
And twice a year, they turn left and right...

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 3:06:55 PM | | I would, as long as he's not an extreme fan. And I've found that while all sports have extreme fans, NASCAR and wrestling seem to have the most extreme fans. And by extreme fan I mean someone who lives and breathes the sport, and will go out of their way to watch said sport (ex: your wife is having your first child and you stay home to watch the game or race or whatever). That is a bit of an extreme example, but I think you get my drift. If it interferes with your relationship, you're an extreme fan and I'm not interested in dating anyone who's an extreme fan of anything. | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 4:46:05 PM | Hon, I can only answer this from the side of a mother that has a son that is a Nascar Fan.. I adore my son.but to be honest,, 80% of what the man does is Nascar...I frankly would kill him if I had to live with him..He has the stuff everywhere.. I know I am football nut. But I don't have a ball as my clock I don't have NFL Stickers on my truck...I dont' live for my games..the list goes on and on.
So I dont' have a problem with anyone watching or enjoying any sport. What I do have a problem with is the obsessiviness of Nascar fans..
Maybe that could be a reason why

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 5:04:17 PM | Darn it! What happened to my Jeff Gordon mouse pad? Oh, there it is.....it fell on the floor and got kicked under the rug, the one with the big 24 on it.
I know what you mean about the obsessiveness of it ..... some people do get carried away (can happen with any sport).
Gotta go make a pit stop..............be back soon.

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 5:22:26 PM | | I love Nascar!!!! GO TONY STEWART GO!!!!! I like to date a man that loves Nascar to, especially if we don't like the same driver, then we can argue over whose gonna win!!! Having make-up sex after your driver wins and their driver loses is the BOMB!!! | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/23/2007 9:44:02 PM | NO Way!!
NASCAR fans are crazy!! I dated a woman who is a major NASCAR fan and our Sundays were earmarked for being glued to the TV religiously. Watchin’ little multicolored spots on the screen go round and round and round. How the heck do you tell one scooter from another anyway? I’ve never been a race fan and knew nothing about the sport.
Sport? Is NASCAR a real sport? As in athletes competing with skills and well honed athletic abilities? I mean c’mon, sitting in an ultra safe rocket, bundled up so you could survive being dropped by an aging gooney bird from the 50’s, propelled by gasoline and held together by duct tape? Some guy in a baseball cap from a high place telling the driver to hit the brakes or the gas or move the steering wheel an inch left or right or when to fart?
But alas, never say never. I dated that women even with her obvious affliction and now… well, now I’m getting to know the sponsors. Getting to know the different cars and numbers and drivers and what they drink on commercials. Now I even know some rules even though NASCAR changes those from minute to minute.
All is well? I’ve been converted and life is good? Not a chance!! I happen to know the truth about the drivers… Isn’t it obvious? “It’s far better to be lucky than good!” How else can one explain Jeffy’s success? So now after the dust has cleared, I’m going to make that NASCAR fanatic my wife. But there will be flames on race day….
I’m a Stewart fan!!!!!!

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 12:16:00 AM | | There making a left turn.......oooh There making another left turn..........Wow there making another left turn........I wonder what there gonna do next...........Leave the room , go get something to eat, comeback in fifteen minutes.......You aint gonna miss a freaking thing. How can anyone be a fan of something so boring as four left turns. 300 miles an hour in a quater mile. Thats racing. When nascar goes that fast I'll watch it. Till then i prefer not to be bored to death. | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 12:21:06 AM | What does anyones Sports Affiliations have to do with whether or not I'll Date them . . ?? Granted . . I'd have second thoughts about dating a Raiders fan . . But That's just a 'N-A-F-T' issue . . She may not like Onions, either . . No big Whoop..!! I'd have _Definite_ reservations about dating a 'Trophy-Hunter', though . . !! | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 1:34:21 AM | | NASCAR bores me to tears, but I don't see why I'd write someone off just because they liked NASCAR. I'd probably tease them about it in a friendly way, just because that's me. :) As long as I can watch F1, then we're all good. :) | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 4:30:49 AM | Being a NASCAR fan is not a deal breaker for me. I used to watch 'stock car' racing back in the 70s as a kid and loved the 'real' cars (souped up of course), racing for the love and pride of being the best. Buddy Baker and Richard Petty were my favorites and fun to watch.
I have given it another chance here and there, but just cannot relate to 'template' based bodies, air brushed headlights and engines with restrictor plates. I understand the 'fairness' and 'safety issues', but it seems refined and purified. The old school racing was 'home cooking', the product today seems mass produced, corporate squeeky clean and homoginized.
So, if there is a gal out there that is a NASCAR fan, I would date her and perhaps she could help me approach a sport I loved as a kid with a fresh perspective.

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 10:22:33 AM | | I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I would and I have dated fans in the past. We don't have to share all the same interests. | |
|
| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 10:29:24 AM | | I do not want to see cars going around in circles. I want to see that prop going around in circles. | |
|
| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 10:34:23 AM | Likely not. Watching someone make left turns for a couple hours is not the height of entertainment for me.
"But I watch it for the crashes!" - Gee, that's a sane reason to watch it.

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 10:41:41 AM | LMAO, Hey Athulatha, Check my Profile, and See a True Nascar Fans Living room, Go Hendrick Motorsports, And Welcome Dale Jr. | |

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 10:41:58 AM | mesg 38 Dude I hear ya. But I've convinced myself that safety and fairness beats the hell out of dead drivers.( now if we could just have kept them out of planes and helicopters )
Athletes? Yeah I know he's an open wheel guy, but my money's on Helio to win "Dancing with the Stars"...
I MIGHT remove the Ryan Newman and Terry Labonte pillows from my couch-when they fall apart.
Will Cale Yarborough please report to NASCAR and teach these kids a thing or 2? Cindy O

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 11:04:59 AM | I listed on my profile that I like Nascar, as well as fishing, boating, camping, football, cooking, yard work, a few beers and nice wine. Have had 100's of responses and am listed on 80 members favorites list in 2 weeks. Thank god not everyone is as judgmental. I even have a few redneck friends. lol Nascar is the fastest growing sport, yes it is considered a sport, in the country. Diversity is what makes the world go around | |

That is the most ridiculous qualifier!
and here i thought not riding a harley was. no lie. im a rider, but over the years i have had a half dozen women turn me down cuz i didnt ride a harley.
i think being a fan of anything is great. tells me someone has some passion about something even if i dont ride a harley

| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 12:10:10 PM | Being a NASCAR fan and being a redneck don't go hand in hand. I am sure there are some rednecks that don't like NASCAR and some people who like it who are not rednecks. That would be like saying everyone who likes cupcakes was a fatty. | |
|
| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 12:27:47 PM | | Sure. Why not; after all I'm a Nascar fan myself. While I don't understand the enjoyment people get out of golfing, said enjoyment is not going to keep me from dating a golfing enthusiast. It is quite healthy for a couple to have separate interests. The exception for me would be if he were into hanging out at the strip bars. That would cause me to lose interest in him very quickly! | |
|
| Would you date a NASCAR fan? Posted: 11/24/2007 1:22:59 PM | | If I were a NASCRAP fan, whcih I R NOT 1, I'd still date a fan. Then I'd have leverage to expect her to enjoy my hobbies and pastimes. After all, it's difficult to find a woman who enjoys my passion for female mud wrestling! | |
