Is there a dress code in effect?

Nope no dress code (shirts and shoes required). Aside from looking as nice as you can (it is a singles event) the groundhog itself doesn't have a dress code.

I can't wait!

I'm in the city visiting the family for a few days and just saw this...so I will be there as a rookie. To JustAChickFish, I think you owe it to the spirit of New Year's to be there.

Well either way I think the host was referring to having 300 people walk in and out of the door. I don't think the pub can hold 300. Most pubs cant :)

As for the dress code? Use your own judgement. Dress to impress or just come casual. The key word is COME! Get your butt in the door and have a good time!!!

As for myself, this is the one night of the year people are guaranteed to see me in a tie, lol. (apart from the one in my profile)

LOL Joe's coming in a tie??? Just for us??? Definitely gotta charge the camera battery for this.

Lifestream87... glad to see you'll be able to make it (and that my invites worked). Come dressed however you'll feel most comfortable... most will probably be in jeans (it is a pub) but there may be a few a bit dressier. Though Joe's set the bar... a tie???... don't feel you need to dust off the tux to come out and have fun with us.

Courves... The Groundhog is a great place for newbies. It's where I attended my first event and I never regretted showing up solo. Bars can be a bit intimidating if you're on your own, but I've helped co-host a few events with these guys and they know what they're doing. We're not a stand-offish bunch of people by any stretch, so just jump right in a say hi.

Is anyone showing up early to eat? The thought has crossed my mind, but I do so hate eating alone.

I was fine this morning, but somehow found myself with a slight hangover this afternoon. Weird.

Anyhoo.... thanks again to my co-hosts Darrell and Shawn.

Very cool to see a group of new and familiar faces at the Groundhog.

well, that was alot of fun! it was smaller then i had expected, but was awesome nontheless. i did a headcount at one point, just to see how many people were there, and it was a bit over a hundred, which was way smaller then last year, but the vibe was awesome!! i have recieved several emails from people thanking me for the night, and to all of you, you are most welcome! thank you for coming out!!! and a HUGE thanks to jimmy and the peeps at the groundhog for the wicked food.

also, a reminder, we do events for the big days, so our events for 2008 are as follows:

valentines day

st.paddys day,

may24 weekend

my 30th bday (this is gonna be BIG!!!)

halloween

christmas

third annual NYE

so im hoping to see everyone and then some out to these events!!
