That's a very nice and idealistic view. Men still do most if not ALL of the driving. The argument of how women spend more on dating due to clothes is a weak one simply because men have to have a car in order to date.


Im not sure what the clothes spending argument has to do with me? I didnt say anything about that.

I have before. Problem was, everywhere we went, I had to drive. It really sucked!
I lived somewhere where there isn't a bus or train service, so if wanted to see her, I had to drive to meet her.
The women I have met that don't have a car have no concept of rush hour traffic.
I was expected to meet them across town in a large city around 6pm. A freaking nightmare!
If you have access to drive or can make your way around, no problem.
Like you said, you can borrow a car or get around on a bus. That's cool.
but, not a lot of car-less women think that way.
I disagree with the fact that having a car denotes your status in responsibility.
My cousin lives in downtown London, and there is absolutely no reason for him to own a car. He can ride a bike to work, or catch the tube. There is no where to park if he did have a car.
However, I use to live in northern Chicago. I needed a car to get to work or do any social event.

Most men don't like being a personal taxi service.
