I've come across quite a few people with unfortunate names.

One guy was called Chris Mycock, which doesn't become any better if you just use his first initial instead of Chris.

I've met someone with the surname Doctor, which led me to wonder if there were any doctors in his family and if so, how much he must have been teased in medical school.

I knew someone who's surname was Gang, and said he wanted to marry someone with the surname Bang, because of what the sign at the reception would say with the double barrel name.

For anyone who knows Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in the UK, they might appreciate the irony of someone who has the surname Duck living in Boston in the duck restaurant.

They're are the only ones I can remember at the present but they're are loads more if I can remember.

I've seen some interesting names over the years. My favourite, when pronounced correctly is not nearly as fun as the less ethnic pronunciation. The name: Juergen Knof.

Bet he was picked -just a wee bit!

Another dating site I'm on has a Heywood Jablome, he lives in AZ. SN, of course.
My mom knows a doc named Peter Bendt, ouch! I hope he found a cure.
Back in the '70s and '80s there was a funeral home in a local small town: Ronald McDonald Funeral Home. We always wondered if he used little styrofoam snap-top caskets for McFunerals.
The best: Reading the obit of a friend's mom, her maiden name is D1ck, a common surname around here. But her parents didn't have to name her Fonda... I'll bet she was a hit in HS.

Rock on.

The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street (pronounced Peek-A-Boo) is not just an athlete...she is now a nurse currently working at the Intensive Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital.

She is not permitted to answer the telephones.

It caused too much confusion when she would answer the phone and say....................

Picabo, ICU

as a teacher, ive had some doozies over the last few years...lol. ill try not to get fired here for breeching confidenciality, but some of these are just TOO funny.

when i student taught, i had a girl named kermetrice...when i asked her how to spell it, she simply said 2 words...kermet rice. wow!
there were two brothers from india named nazoket and rafocket
my sister has one this year named acaryon - pronounced a-carry-on...like baggage...THAT one KILLED me!!!
we had 2 girls start school on the same day both with the same first name...one's last name was gay, the other was fagg...when we got the paperwork on them, on of the teachers thought someone was playing a joke on us...lmao!!!
a parent was on her sixth or seventh son and she couldnt come up with a name for him, so she named him emanon... no name spelled backwards.
my cousins friend was the seventh kid, and his mom named him seven.

i didnt read the whole thread, so im sorry if there are any repeats!

No repeats! I hope I don't have any, lol.
In high school there was a sluty girl named Val Whynot.
High school was a guy with a rather large head called Robin McKracken
A friend of a friend, Cee Cee Butt-poor thing cause her butt was rather large too!

and recently I hosted a party of 1500 people and I would alway see this guy's name on the guest list and lol with my staff but out of so many people I never got a chance to meet him. We had clients playing some game on the dance floor and this guy won the prize at the end and not knowing who he was I asked him on the microphone his name and he replied, Harry Phatarpekkar. The whole room lost it including me and my staff-not very professional, I know but he just stood there smiling like he had been blessed and then said, "You like? It's in my name."

Can't make this stuff up-not that good, lol

One of my secretaries when I was a medical records manager had the first name of Ima. When Dr. Hooker joined the staff, Ima began thinking of the ramifications that would occur if she married Dr. Hooker
