| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 12/17/2008 7:37:07 AM | Yes I was, khali pants,, I think my back side remained because it's not my main picture,
You could always make an attempt to report their profiles, which is probably how your photo got “viewed’ and deleted . I can’t say what the result might be though.
I wouldn't even consider that,, I have no issues with their pictures, like I said, the clarity is about the same.. as for my look, being different, for some reason, all I need to do is grow a goatee or wear a suit, and my looks change, says a lot of people..

I think my back side remained because it's not my main picture,
I’ve seen cases where he zaps everything non-compliant when he has to look due to one being reported.
Hey Don't get on him because of the backside picture!
I don’t have issues with backside pics, shirtless pics, cleavage pics or short skirt/ shorts pics, I live in Florida I see skin all the time, doesn’t bother me. I draw the line at full nudity if I want to see that I can go to a different site.
It’s admin’s rules and admin’s discretion what does or doesn’t get zapped. I personally think a few “body” shots are fine as long as there is a close up to see the face, especially for the people that have issues with “body” type, but sometimes those get deleted even if there is a good face shot or two on the same profile. I have issues with those that appear to put up nothing but blurry or obscure photos because they are probably just trying to get around the “must have photo” filter that many people use.

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 1/1/2009 5:10:15 AM | Mine got deleted. Oh, well. I'm not much to look at anyway.
I've seen those profiles with one eye as a profile picture. Or something resembling human figure a mile away. Or a doggie pic.
Now I'm reporting away - hah!

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 2/1/2009 11:59:15 AM | I, too, have a beef with the 'pic deletion' process. Without notification, I've had a few pics disappear. Most recently, a pic of me jumping, and another of one of my creations. Both were VERY representative of me, worth at least a thousand words each. Now, I realize that the jump pic was probably too far away for a main pic, but I'd still like to have that on my profile....many other skydive pics are represented in this pond, why not mine? The pic of my creation wasn't my main, but it went poof as well. What's up with that? I see tons of non-face/non-human pics...sunsets, scenery, vehicles, pets, etc. I thought those were allowed if not used as main pics, but the rules are rather convoluted and scattered. One thread says ONLY face pics allowed, another states that if not a main-pic almost anything goes.
Do I have to PhotoShop my face into the corner to get it to stay, or what? I can do that, but it seems silly.
Without some sort of review process, allowing random users to delete portions of profiles is a formula for abuse. Personally, I don't care how people choose to represent themselves, but I admit that I did report one of a fully erect 'member'.
Oh, as for sunglasses, mine are prescription, and disallowing them is plain discrimination against visually-challenged fish. I expect those pics will vanish next.

There are technical Reasons too. Read Link below:

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 2/1/2009 4:40:33 PM | Got it. Mugshots. No glasses.
I wonder why we're allowed 8? One would do the trick, as long as it was notarized and/or certified as to identity, date taken, etc. How else to enforce the currency and reality requirements? Will I need 2 or 3 forms of ID? DNA samples? Just think of the bandwidth savings! Nevermind the 'Babysitting Bureaucracy'.
Ah, irony...thy name is PoF.
Looks like you got your hands full. Better recruit the previous poster, 'cause I don't work that cheap.

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 2/1/2009 8:26:47 PM | I wonder why we're allowed 8? Limited Resources for 10 Million+ Users, and it has also been deemed to be enough for anyone to get a good Index what you look like.

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 4/8/2009 8:19:55 PM | Well damn, I guess I should have not had my day at the beach wearing my sunglasses and a very clear head shot as my main pic for a Looooooooooong time..... And then "POOF"! Gone into the black hole and unretreivable. I should have maybe moved it from main shot before it got deleted.
The LAWS will always change, and it is your responsibilioty to stay up with them or forfeit the game. That tics me off.
Now my profile explains a picture and what I was doing that isn't even there anymore. Nice...

That's what the area labeled Caption, beside each photo on the IMAGES upload page is for.

That's what the area labeled Caption, beside each photo on the IMAGES upload page is for. I'd put one (a caption) if my photo hadn't vanished into thin air. I think the point trapped is making is that if you had used the appropriate space for comment, there wouldn't be a photoless comment on your profile and a commentless photo ejected into cyberspace.
The point is still valid, but it's a personal choice of course. You could add captions to your present photos and should a disaster occur, where one or more are ejected without warning, at least they won't be mute.

| Photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 6/1/2009 2:01:00 PM | Does not matter if your "main" photo is close, clear and current... or even if 6 of your 8 pics are close and clear...
Apparently if even one of them is not quite close and clear enough, it's history.
I just lost two... one the them I can sort of understand as I'm skiing .. I suppose it could have been anyone (but it was not a the main photo)... the other deletion made no sense at all, although not super close, you could certainly tell it was the same person as in the all the other pictures .. and yet they left one other that is sideways and and not a clear head shot... confusion reigns...
Lesson learned... too bad though, the ones that disappeared are the ones who'd tell a viewer who I really am.

| - is this the problem????? -photos that are not headshots/users face Posted: 9/2/2009 8:25:03 AM | I am so confused. I don't know who or how to ask the questions about why I can no longer upload pics. I was on your site for about 6 months (and then went temporarily off) and I never had a problem. I created a new account recently and used all the same pics. What do you want me to do please. (please)
