Posted: 11/28/2007 1:03:05 PM | the last time i had a serious drink was 8pints in the local then 7/8 on the meet night followed by 6/7 J.d's and coke..
Not too much as i had work that very next day 
The last major meet, I only tend to drink at meets..
about 15 pints and 8/9 whiskey chasers
Still I can' t drink like I use to, I get drunk now a days  | |

Binge drinking once a week is so bad for you!!!! Now go and have a cup of tea and a custard cream on a saturday night instead. | |

Me i can drink bloody lots..at least 4 becks a week.
i may even have a babycham on occasion
in reality im a binge drinker..when i do go out i can either drink none or get wasted. generally...i know its not good. but boy the women look nicer. | |

Have since moderated my drinking, and now have only a few glasses of ScottishFallingDown Water per session...

When i have drunk alcohol with a fruit mixer or certain brands of wine, i get the most horrendous lower back pain...
Apparently its caused by the fruit mixing with alcohol that causes a reaction in some people.
I know thats not relevant as vodka isnt made of fruit... maybe it is the same rule for drinks made from spuds as well... | |

But when i'm in the mood, i can happily drink a bottle or two of wine while i talk pish , bust some moves and then fall asleep.
My consumption has gone down the older i have got. I was never a big drinker though. | |

You do wonder why people brag about their excess drinking habits, maybe the alcohol has irepairably damaged what little brain cells they had, and they think its fun and adult to binge drink and brag about it, sure must do loads for their dating chances.

I have certainly noticed the difference..
After watching that documentary when that girl HAD to binge drink, names gone sorry, I decided to stick to the limits advised..
Result I'm now wasted on 3 large glasses of wine, cheap night out, no hangover, and I can last the distance..
With the added benefit of no dodgy numbers in my phone, random oh soooooooo not funny photos, and I can remember everything and everyone..

I think also the chemicals that they put in beer these days also makes it far worse the following day ... beer certainly used to be 'purer' thirty years ago ! | |

Posted: 1/30/2008 2:14:59 AM | LOL... I don't wish to brag... But in my wild young days at University, drinking a litre (or what it 750 cl?) bottle of Thunderbirds (maybe two) EACH was the standard way me and my mates would get "ready" to go clubbing....
And then when we hit the club... Well... Let's just say my memory goes blank from then on. So I can't really say how much I can handle LOL!
Of course I'd end up yakking my brains out on a pavement, whilst trying to shove what amounted to dog food down my gob... But this was University! This is what one just had to do... Whether it made one shred of sense of not (and now I look back... I think not!).
Well I had fun and I'm glad to say that I'm reformed now. I don't think alcohol abuse is a funny matter. In my day (damn I sound old) it just all seemed to be a bit of a laff... But now... Bloody 'ek! It's all getting a little out of control.

i dont drink an awful lot and when i do go out i drink vodka which seems to settle in my stomach ok, its when i have a glass of wine and it effects me with only one glass that i realise my tolerance isnt what it used to be | |

As I get older I find the pub/club scene so boring and prefer to be entertaining at home these days.
but I can still drink anyone I know, man or woman under the table, a bottle of vodka or about 4 bottles of wine before my best friends suddenly becomes the most attractive man/woman alive. | |
