It means they think they are God's gift to the world. If they have to say that then they are not. Nobody is.

Goddess,diva.princess,sassy---What do they mean?
Posted: 12/17/2007 11:57:40 AM
It means: "pretentious high-maintenance waste of time".

While he somewhat has a sound definition, even though it slightly varies to Websters and the New Canadian dictionaries definitions of these.

I will make an attempt to identify the meaning behind those words.

"Goddess" and "diva" without getting too informative are blasphemas words that try to put a god-like name to a person in this case a lady which is obviously totally false and essentially a myth with no, zero basis whatsoever, and a collosal and horrible misnomer.

"Princess" pretty basic, it is a place and position of female honour and is the 4rth in royal rankings. 1st and highest is King, second is Queene, third is Prince, and then offcourse fourth is Proncess.

"Sassy" may have different definitions depending on the guy or lady you are asking.
But a common definition would be similar to cheesy and sleazy. Kind of a sexual flirt, not like a harlot, but still possessing some undeniable sexual attributes to their mannerism and personality.

Ok, as a woman who's profile name is Sassy_Mom I'd like to comment here.

While I agree with everyone's description of Goddess, Diva and Princess, Sassy doesn't have to mean "rude" but think I'm cute doing it.

When I'm being sassy, I'm being audacious and flirty but I'm NEVER rude.

Just saying...

No the saying is "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" and that is by Bob Dilan.

I could do without the goddesses, divas and princesses (pretentious and high maintenance were the most apt desriptions from the first page and what it generally means is "to run as fast as you can"), but I kind of like "sassy" women (if you forget the first part of the definition) ...

.sas·sy [ sássee ] (comparative sas·si·er, superlative sas·si·est)

adjective

Definition:

1. impudent: impudent or disrespectful

2. high-spirited: lively and high-spirited
The show has refreshingly sassy hoedown-style choreography.

3. U.S. stylish: stylish or fashionable
a sassy look for spring

[Mid-19th century. Alteration of saucy]

I've never been contacted by a goddess, or diva. But my two daughters are princesses to me. And I have a few friends on here called Sassy!

I really don't take these terms seriously. People can use whatever terminology they like on here. The only one I don't like that much, is "69". There are too many people who use this in their usernames.

So True! It's the insecure screaming at the world what they "wish they were"! I'm always thankful that they "wear the mark" so it's so easy to know to just avoid them!(;

I worry for todays young girls/woman who are learning to "Act like a Diva" and have the attitude of one....but no one tells these young woman that a really sucessful, confident woman knows how to earn respect and admiration -not Demand it or wear it!

Herding "catty" ...

"If the shoe fits ... tie the laces."

Read her profile. Quality fits. More than I can say for most of the profiles on this site.

i also worry about the same thing where girls/women 'assume' they deserve some type of superior treatment to others because they wear the 'attitude' of diva/goddess/princess,etc, but that is entirely different to having a username that most times is completely incongruent with the persona behind the name......but everyone is so busy 'assuming', as usual......it's becoming increasingly clear that the badge of 'hypocrisy' is easier to wear than the one of 'humility' ....

i also see theres a lot of people with usernames that represent an 'easygoing' attitude, and then.......they open their mouth to say something and their attitudes reek of arrogance and 'superiority complex's'......so i guess you never can tell, can ya?

^two up.
Hmmm...not entirely off the mark I guess. I still tend to lose interest when I see those words in a user's name though. I mean, it's very basic really : If you're saying it, you must be thinking it. To me it says "If I forget, my first impulse is to act like a sassy, impudent diva type. Eventually I'll forget why I'm putting up the front and then just let it all out as it comes. "
We understand that to the casual observer, these words don't mean much. They'll never see that side of a person of course. Imagine for example that most men's usernames included words like "Boss", or "King" or whatever. I'm sure there are already no shortage of those that do. Now the question is what do you, as a woman do when you see a username like that ? If it says "run" to you then you'll forgive us guys for exercising the same logic that you would.

They say the male ego knows no bounds however I dont see many men going around confessing to be gods or kings or princes or demand to be put on pedastels . I find the very notion of wome labelling themselves divas or princesses offensive. However I am not completely jaded or bitter. I will treat you like a queen......................so long as you never forget who is the king.

oh girls should try each one of um on..at least once in your life..whilst u can

Goddess = to be used by ur one true love..from him to you
Diva = for a day, dress to the nines and let it shine!!
Princess = we were all taught (well, not all) as little girls we SHOULD be treated as a princesss

Sassy = fun, spirited gal....state of mind (as stated prior)

all the above have their 'moments' in the sun when done right...think of it as 'dress up' for a day

What do they mean? You tell me and we'll both know, lol....I've seen that stuff too, and thought....ok, over confident are we? Lol, I'm just plain ole me, no goddess, diva, princess, or sassy somethin here...well, maybe sassy at times, lol...but mostly just plain ole me. I know that just reeks of insecurity to those "I am woman hear me roar" types, but it's the truth, not all of us are like that.

Goddess: self-absorbed and delusional
Diva: self-centered and demanding
Princess: Immature-- oh grow up little girl
Sassy: rude but we're all supposed to think it's "cute"." It isn't

Yep that sounds about right.
At leat that is the impression that I have when I read those things in a profile.

After reading all these posts.
Having the user name of SassySky1..I am so glad that there is some people that bothered to read my profile.
That some have emailed me..
I have also given this much thought.
It seems that some people believe here that by having the word
Sassy In my user name..
I am rude and enjoy it..
Which could farther from the norm..

I actually pity anyone that looks at a user name and immediately assumes something from it..
There is some one out here That I actually enjoy his posts from time to time. His name literally means someone " Dead".
He is not near that..
Gee, I am glad I didn't assume on his name..What a waste that would have been.
This also brings up another revelent point
I learned to never Assume anything about anything when I was about 10..
if you do Assume something
Usually you are going to make an A$$ out of Y and Me.
this is only my opinion of course

Your parents give you your real names, the users here pick their own handles. When I was in school a classmate came back to school one fall and demanded to be called by a different name,he said it was his middle name.It wasn't,he thought that he could change himself and become someone new just by pretending he was someone else, after a few weeks the novelty wore off and he went back to his old name,if he had actually wanted to work,he could have gotten ahead in school ,but he justed wanted to pretend to be someone new.
