| World of Warcraft Posted: 10/28/2008 7:52:54 AM | | I have been out of the loop for 2 months. What current expansion is out now? Is it very good with that major advancement? | |
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 10/28/2008 4:40:07 PM | wow....a WoW thread on a dating site, then again blizzard has over 15mil customers...+employees and the couple hundred people why just dont like the game, Why not? Maybe I should start a gammers dating site. Then again there would be to much arguing and fighting on a day to day basis to really try and keep it all civil. So ill leave the free dating to Markus and his team. Anyways, new expansion is wotlk, warlocks will always have thier hands full with rogues and newly the tidal surge of deathknights. ratio is now 1 deathknight to every 1 flake of snow to have fallen since snow was called snow.
70 belf lock, Zavian arie peak...Afflic spec. [fill in info for deathknight later]
"if you know me from arie peak server do not go on ranting about how im a jerk/***hole and no i didnt get banned, shoulda but tough luck"
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 10/28/2008 4:47:42 PM | Another note, anyone who has played alot withen the last 6-7 months (the time ive been off dealing with other crap) any decent servers not over populated with decent raid/pvp guilds ya wana share? To anyone wanting to start unless its gone down a bit do NOT start a character on arie peak. Especially if your running a lowend comp.
Horde! | |

| World of Warcraft Posted: 10/30/2008 1:15:48 AM | The Wrath of the Lich King is about to be released in early Nov, so that is something to look forward to.
Yeah, those zombies can be annoying at times. Some like them and a lot hate them.

Did everyone else get as sick of the zombies in shatt as I did? I couldn't even complete my dailies and the AH was also bad in IF. Blizzard really laid an egg with that so-called "event". It was totally idiotic. I had only just started the game, and then you had towns where Level 70+ players were turning into zombies, and thought it was hilarious that they could now kill everybody, or turn them - including NPCs. Of course, when they did that, nobody could complete any quests since all the Quest-givers were now dead, or zombies. Sure it was great for those people who had been playing the game for years and were bored, and wanted something different. But it made it complately unplayable for newbies who just wanted to run around and have fun with the quests. It seems to have stopped now.
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/2/2008 7:53:43 AM | Meh, be lucky you got to see it...I wont be back in action till I order this damn comp... its all good tho, Maybe ill plevel ya on me lock or level with you when i sadly but surely make a new character for a deathknight....If ya have just started however id go horde....Otherwise im not gonna be much help. Oh a really good tip is to throughly search over what server your gonna play on...Some are over populated big time, Youll run 2 fps with top of the line comps.
On a side note isnt this the taurens dance?-->
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/2/2008 1:12:17 PM | Now that you mention it, that IS the tauren dance!!
I've been out of play for the last few months. Missed all the zombie fun
Demonic69: I had a character on Arie Peak for a while ( alliance ) but I transferred because of the lag. Shadow priest named Marsie
Now my characters are on Thrall
70 shadow priest - main 70 mage 70 holy priest - hate her, never play her Various other leveled characters
I've been thinking about rerolling horde, so if anyone out there wants to level a new character let me know. Soloing can get boring!
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/2/2008 4:56:52 PM | My friend would love to know he is now a banana
Shame.....Coulda killed you, then again i may have...Ever pvp? Yes arie peak had horrible lag, still does i would assume. Its so sad, Shatt has like 1fps... even with a netherdrake and all the speed buffs you move about an inch every 10 min....I fly AROUND it....
Its all good, My next comp shall be well above the recomended specs for wotlk.... I will not go through that shit again, guild was constantly pissed at me running late for raids because i took a portal to shatt. go lag!
Markus must have played WoW tauren and undead, played horde or maybe im just sad....Prolly the latter of the two. I think ill level a palidan, Horde, so maybe ill help ya level, suppose i could heal till level 55....I rolled a druid for my first character....It was a nelf and I was asked to heal 24/7 then someone suggested i try horde.....I rolled a belf lock and almost forgot my nelf. But i figure if i heal i could get into tons of instances....or just use my lock to pay for power leveling, dualbox or somthing....
Oh yea, roll a lock....soloing is just about the only decent way to level, everything else falls behind....
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/2/2008 7:07:54 PM | I was just getting to really like pvp shortly before I had to quit playing for a couple of months.
Thrall is getting to be the same way, as far as lag goes. I noticed they finally are doing some free character moves for some of the over crowded servers this week. Nice!
I have a level 43 lock, she's super fun to play. Just never really had time to finish her. I imagine I'll get back to her someday.
If I reroll horde I'd probably be either an undead or belf mage. Those belf's are sooo cute!
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/3/2008 7:16:09 AM | cute?.....the only thing that keeps my belf lock from fag status is he is a lock... Belf females are ok i suppose...Still wish i coulda made a nelf lock. But allaince is just so damn childish. Also considering how i tend to fvck with people on the horde side, My account woulda been banned already if i rolled allaince. Not to mention i just bought a kit to print horde flags on my new laptop and a friend may be willing to cut me a deal on a horde tat...Cant, reroll allaince. I suppose you could roll a mage, All depends on if you like pvp or pve. Since a mage doesnt outdo a lock in either, Ice mage is ok for pvp unless you get a felhunter on your ass with a SL/SL lock. Ice is dd(direct dammage) play and lock is dot(dammage over time) play. So it all realy depends on whatcha like. If ya reroll horde hit me up with your server, Ill be moving off arie peak as soon as i get this laptop in my hands. maybe wait till dec...god i gotta go order wotlk now though....Cannot wait till the new openworld pvp is within reach. Prolly wont leave it for a month. | |
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/3/2008 3:11:33 PM | Childish is growing on both sides. I've seen many players evacuate the Horde and joining the Alliance for the very same reasons. Horde may be more mature as a whole, but some servers are really getting diluted.
I really liked pvp with the spriest. I thought I wouldn't like it and avoided it forever. When I finally needed it for Winterchill & Archimonde, I learned I really had a great time pvp'ing!
I like the combo of a spriest, dd & dot. Though when I was leveling the lock I found that dot's were even better with the lock! Plus the pet, was awesome to play. I just got frustrated and bored leveling alone and abandoned her. I'm sure I go back and finish.
Depends on the mage, depends on the lock. I've seen some destro locks that can't be touched. By anyone. Amazing dps. I've seen mages that could kick serious butt too though. All classes have their place, and all players have their style.
My gnome mage now is a fire mage, she pve's only so far. I'd want to make a belf ice mage. Even considered a belf paladin, though I think I would get bored healing... so maybe an alt. I have zero desire to tank.
I can't even imagine playing on a laptop. I'd end up throwing mine accross the room. I know a lot of people do, cudo's to ya'll. I can't do it lol

|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/4/2008 8:56:08 AM | Fkn retpally, Your right to post has been revoked. Besides, you cant beat my lock nor would you ever find me rolling allaince.
Aries, you know come wotlk lock is gonna be back in action as destro pvp? its gonna be sick....
I do love affliction though, love to watch people try to run away from me loaded on dots. Some stay and just give up, others run like hell as if they will get away.
Never tank, and if your use to a dps class dont try to heal unless its just to get the character leveled, they only reason i will roll a healing pally is to catch each and every group going into instances, fast leveling so i can change it to deathknight sooner. Still think i may do a hunter and grind gold wth my lock to buy instance runs on it. I cant fathom leveling another lock and wanting to change it, I would wind up with afflic lock, a destro lock and no death knight.
think about this, the more people on a server the higher your chances to run into a childish horde, I find it hard to run in to a mature allaince. Ive talked with 45 yearold allys and they make my 12 yearold sister seem as mature as my grandmother. Not saying ive never found one i got along with...But im sticking with the horde, and suggest everyone else does too.... No never mind, everyone roll allaince, More people to kill

Fkn retpally, Your right to post has been revoked. LOL, I find it ironic that Demonic keeps talking about childish players when he has done nothing but spew trash talk about everyone and plays from cookie cutter molds. Someone that can't respect other players is not what I call mature.
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/4/2008 10:15:41 AM | Aww cmon cutie pie, were talking about adults that plat games.....maturity went out the window, I have respect, I even respect the fact that she prolly loves her pally, alot do. I just dont like them....Btw you didnt manage to pick up one of those sarcasm detectors at bestbuy did ya?....50% off through to 20th. Heads up...I havnt spewed trashtalk about EVERYONE, and I love cookie cutters! Make a cookie look like a star! or a santa clause! or maybe even PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON!!!!! Go smoke somthing and lighten the fvck up..... In the meantime ill go bake a cookie....make sure it says "Im A Big Boy Now..." mmmm | |

| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/4/2008 6:45:51 PM | been playing almost every day since last month after a friend of mine introduced me to the game. For the longest time, I had never been a fan of fantasy pc games such as WOW or Everquest and also never been a fan of paying a monthly fee to play on servers, but after I played the trial, I got hooked!
I'm in the horde realm, Kaael'Thas, Hunter, Orc, Lvl 45
For those that don't like the monthly fee, there's always Guildwars but there's supposed to be a GuildWars 2 coming out and they're basically charging about the same price as WOW, so it's best to stick with the first version.

| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/4/2008 6:55:14 PM | Suramar server...Alliance...Mage....level 70, Full tier 6...Got to Kiljaeden in Sunwell.
Expansion is coming, yay.

| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/5/2008 3:29:22 AM | | I love to play my human paladin, so it is nice to see other Alliance members here. The game is addicting. It was late and I was just going to play for about an hour at most last night and I ended up play for about 3 hours. That is a lot when I was planning to go to bed. | |

| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/5/2008 12:47:23 PM | | I LOVED the zombie event. They weren't that hard to avoid, and I couldn't believe that everyone was ****ing so much about how horrible it was and how they were all going to quit when they KNEW it was only going to last for a few days. Not only that, but right after the zombie event Blizzard hit it's highest volume of players since it's launch. Coincidence? I think not. I absolutely love WoW, but it's irritating that so many people could be so ****y, egotistical, and immature. | |
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/5/2008 12:49:38 PM | | i jsut love how people go..."so why are the scourge attacking us?" | |
|
| World of Warcraft Posted: 11/5/2008 3:23:30 PM | Gameguru: My first serious character was on Kael'Thas, raided a level 60 rogue.
They were a really high pop server at the time, so Blizz did a free character transfer and over the course of a weekend the server went from high to low. Seemed like everyone bailed.
I never thought I would pay a monthly fee on a game either. I got hooked while playing with a friend. There's always something else to do, something I need to finish, some drop I haven't gotten... etc
Hell, I was a holdout on getting a cell phone long ago because I couln't see paying for 2 phones.
Georgiarocker: That happens to me all the time. I think I'm going in just to farm something really quick... next thing you know I get all caught up and it's been 3 hours... or more!
This break I've been taking has been nice. I've gotten to get caught up on a lot of projects I let slide.
Demonic: I used to play quite a lot with a lock named Demonic.
Destro now is a viable spec, with the correct gear. Affliction is easier to get gear for though. I haven't decided what I'm eventually going to do with mine. Probably sl/sl... but we'll see how it all turns out after the xpac. So much will change!
That was what I was thinking is leveling the pally healadin to get in to more instance runs to level faster. Though, I think soon after the xpac comes out, it's not going to be very hard to get instance runs for a while while everyone levels and looks for drops. I think it would work out better for this pally to be an alt, by that time being a healadin would be to my advantage as the leveling and instance runs will have slowed down quite a bit.
I'm still planning on a mage as my main, whether I start a new character on the Horde side, or continue my 70 alliance mage remains to be seen.
Leveling a hunter to turn in to a deathknight sounds like a good idea. Is that class available for deathknight? I heard some classes weren't. If it is, I have a 64 hunter I'd gladly level up for my deathknight. If not then I have a spare 70 holy priest that I never play that I planned on leveling just for deathknight.
If neither of those classes are available for deathknight, I'm screwed

They weren't that hard to avoid, and I couldn't believe that everyone was ****ing so much about how horrible it was You're kidding right? It was almost impossible to avoid if you were actually working on anything like your dailies or the AH. Towards the end of it the quest givers were always dead and I was getting turned into a zombie in the AH when trying to work on selling things.
right after the zombie event Blizzard hit it's highest volume of players since it's launch. Coincidence? Again I ask... you're kidding, right? We're just days away from the launch of the new expansion and with the major changes in the 3.0 patches to the game everyone is logging in again. The zombies had little to do with it; the launch of a new tradeskill, achievements and the upcoming expansion did.

Leveling a hunter to turn in to a deathknight sounds like a good idea. Is that class available for deathknight? That's not how the class works. You start out as a level 55 deathknight, there is no prebuilding of the character. The only requirement for starting the class is to already have a level 55 anywhere in the game (doesn't matter what class or server). You'll start out with a full set of greens on.

Agreed, zombies had nothing to do with it. We've seen this before with the last xpac.
I know plenty of people who felt like they had nothing left to do until the xpac came out. With the latest patch, we're starting to see some of those players return slowly, while others are seeing this as a good time to start playing.
It will thin out again after several months like last time.

I really haven't read much, other than some tidbit a while back that certain classes didn't qualify. Long time ago though. I wasn't too interested in building a deathknight, believing that there will probably be waaaaaaaaaay to many of them for a while.
Now that the xpac is getting closer, I like most people want to go ahead and play around with one. That information is helpful to know, and I suppose I should spend some time on the forums reading more about it at some point.
Question though, are you required to sacrifice the lvl 55 character?
