| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/26/2007 4:00:39 PM | I agree, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you... I decided not to go to your party after all. I don't want to be in a situation that could be uncomfortable for some one... I don't mean me either! Have fun O-Town.... I will be at the lakeland party having lots of fun!

Dang, look at all this fun that I am going to miss again! Hopefully I will be recovered enough from my accident to make the St. Paddy's party next year. Congratulations on your speedy recovery, Golfer. Two months ago you made the above post on another party thread and look at you now...ready to party two months earlier than you said. Have fun and don't overdo.
Less than a week to go 'til New Year's Eve. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/27/2007 5:46:55 AM | All righty then ... where are all my friends for this blowout party? I can't raise the roof all by my lonesome ... come on girls (and guys, if you must), help me ring in the New Year in the best O-Town tradition .... eating, dancing and partying with friends.
This is a great opportunity to show off our dressed up best and put a little shine on our usual party selves.
See everyone there! | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/27/2007 6:10:24 PM | There is a "during party"after party in our room. Any contributions are welcome, cash, liquor, wine, beer, snacks, etc. blah blah blah ... nothing is required or requested to be sure the moderators are happy ... anyone who doesn't want to pay the $45 to be a part of the Carving Station New Year's program is welcome to come ... we don't have a room number yet, but will put it out here when we have it. I encourage everyone to take part in the Carving Station party ... I'll be there ..... but if you wont' be there, be sure to be at the room party. | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/27/2007 8:33:09 PM | | I am very upset to find out Michale Quickat 407 597-500 at Hawthrorne Suites has no information on any rooms for 79.00. The person handleing (lady Di)this party should check into this problem and not allow person to make offers for the POF site that are not confimed. I went through 1 hour of my time to find out have still not have a room for ths event. If I do not get a room I will not be coming. | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/28/2007 9:01:35 AM | Hey Waterswan, Welcome to the Orlando group. Looking forward to meeting you at the party.
LadyDi provides us a great excuse to get together, make friends and socialize.
Anything else... is our responsibility.
Someone else offered the info for the $79 rooms at Hawthorne Suites. The rate I was told was $129. at Hawthorn. Maybe it's less if you have AAA or military discount. From reading the posts, I'm thinking that those staying the night will be at the Celebrity resort. Check w/ Bob. It's much more fun to stay close to the group.
Hope to see you and all my other friends!
Great Food Great Friends Great Fun

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/28/2007 1:44:08 PM | | hey CashHag...you hit it right on the head with your comment about all going out of their way for newbies. I went to my first a few weeks ago that LadyD put on...the Carribean Christmas; it was a great time. I never felt uncomfortable or out of place. All new people seemed to be having a good time...no matter their age. The best thing that comes out of the POF parties is that you get to expand upon your friends list...and that's a good thing. Have fun at this...I can't make it; perhaps see y'all next time around... | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/28/2007 6:56:41 PM | I just called the number at the Hawthorn to make a reservation. I talked to Mike Quick who seemed to not know of this. He transfered me to reservations and they also did not have any information on POF. They also said the hotel is sold out. Does anyone else have any ideas? I really don't want to drive back to Orlando even if I'm legal. Buddy | |

| Orlando - Semi-Formal Dinner/Dance - New Year's Eve 7pm Posted: 12/29/2007 7:49:51 PM | | Don't understand about the Hawthorne, will have to ask Gareth about that, that was the information I got from the Carving Station the last time I spoke with them a few weeks ago and that's what I was told. Couldn't get anything going next door at the HIE either. I don't think there's much left as all the rooms seem to be filled up in the area. Did anyone find out anything more on the Celebrity Suites? | |
