Unfortunately that sets legal precedents for other religions. They should just stick with applying the existing laws, and if they break any prosecute them like everybody else. But to outright ban any religious group ... thats going to far. This is not too dissimilar what Hitler did in the 1930s either gradually affronting various unconventional systems of beliefs.

This is not the same thing at all. In this case they would be banning a specific organization, the Church of Scientology, not the religion itself.
People are free to believe what they want to believe, but the organization itself has no intrinsic right to operate in that country.

"I don't think it will happen. Or at least I hope it doesn't. And for Germany with it's history of rights abuses, this is sad. Not that I'm in agreement with the CoS. Personal experiences with Scientology makes me cringe at the abuse of people and the lies and fluff science they use to manipulate, but the peop0le have a right to believe what they believe and it isn't the State's function to decide what is the "right' or "wrong" belief system, only to protect the rights of all to believe whatever they want to believe."

I disagree. I think that if the beliefs of any particular religion or organization or whatever are actually a danger to the believers or others then it is the responsibility of any government to ban that religion. Freedom of religion at all costs is a ridiculous idea. What if the tenets of a particular religion call on it to violently oppose a government that does not abide by the tenants of that religion? Should the government not ban that religion though it is a threat? Of course not. Oh,and I am absolutely confident that there is nothing in modern Christianity that is a threat to anyone. For anyone to ban modern Christianity in any country is just plain evil. I cannot really speak concerning any other religions because I am not as familiar with what they teach or advocate. I do know that I have heard some disturbing things concerning Scientology though. God bless.

before you such a nonsense Writing make yourself expert first of all.
only for you information, The French public prosecutor's office demand a ban of the Scientology sect, The Scientology organisation stands in France since end of May because of "organised common deception" in court, after four former members had indicated them. Beside the organisation and her bookstore must be summoned in court six Scientologen. It is about a "deliberate and planned deception". Therefore, the organisation and her bookstore would have to pay in each case two million euros of punishment, demanded the public prosecutor's office. For the founder of Scientology in France, Alain Rosenberg, the authority requires four years of prison on proving as well as a fine at the rate of 150,000 euros.

and this is a property in such a way
