| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 3/30/2008 4:27:56 AM | | To me 'sex' would be any sexual act done out of pure desire for sensual pleasure, but with no emotional component to it. 'Making love' is any sexual act involving sensual pleasure with some accompanying affective component, which could be defined as love. | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 3/30/2008 12:24:31 PM | The difference between having sex and making love is vast.
It is the difference between an action and an emotion.
One can satisfy a natural, normal physical desire; the other can satisfy a natural, normal emotional desire. (Only one can satisfy both.)
It is the difference between eating and dining. It is the difference between taking pictures and doing photography (to steal a line from a New Yorker cartoon).
It is both odd and yet appropriate that such a question needs to be asked, and enjoyable and sometimes enlightening reading the responses.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 3/30/2008 3:12:16 PM | I think "having sex" is a fling or one night stand. But "Making love" is when you take your time to consider the other persons feeling and you are there to pleasure their every need, and in return your pleasures are fulfilled.... | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 3/30/2008 6:29:37 PM | You have to be in love with someone to make love with them...or at least like them a lot and have a lot of tenderness for them. Otherwise it's just sex! ...which can be fun, but not on a deep emotional level.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 4/5/2008 8:13:20 PM | Sex is just a clinical act between two concenting people... Making love is is an expression of love between two people that are in love or falling in love... ****ing is a promal and bestial act between two or more concenting adults in the heat of passion....
Sex is not needed to make love, but it is possile that making love for some is ****ing
making love can include extended foreplay rather than having sex(i.e. oral or hands on to completion). Sex can be primal or not but making love is about the connection and about feeling good above all else, and making sure that your partner is feeling good too.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 4/7/2008 1:28:50 PM | | NOTHING! you dont make love you express it its an emotion. people dont go around saying "hey lets make hatred". the highest expression of hatred is murder, so the opposite of that would be true too. the highest expression of love would be sexual intercourse. let me ask you this, if you caught you man cheating and he said , aw baby she was just a F--K but i make LOVE to you. what would you say? i call it like i see it. so the answer is NOTHING ITS ALL HAVING SEX! The connection it what matters. you should look at the difference between LOVE and LUST. | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 4/7/2008 1:44:34 PM | I have never had the "pleasure" of making love. I've had great sex, and just great ****s. I think we all know (I'd hope) what having sex is so I don't need to go into greater detail.
I would imagine that making love would be completely selfless on both ends with a mental connection. Being selfless would entail you to let go of your needs and pursue the pleasure of your partner, and they you.(not saying that just sex is selfless, a lot of partners love to give)
In the end you would both get what you want and need because not only is their a mental connection, you both would be looking out for eachother.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 4/7/2008 2:06:06 PM | It's been 'interesting' to read the replies but I'm not sure the question needed to be asked ...... we all 'know' the truth of the matter ..... or do we?
I guess until we are all totally upfront/honest with one another these questions will arise/remain. If we can't be open/honest with one another how the hell can we expect jerusalem/palestine to be? How can we expect Iraq to be?
Quite simply ...... we can't.
