| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 7/8/2008 12:31:58 PM | Doing it for 10 minutes against a tree with lots of drunken grunting in public at night and complaining afterwards you've got a splinter = having sex
Doing it in a bed for 3 hours on washed sheets followed by 10 minutes of kissing followed by tea and biscuits for afters and saying 'I love you' and then popping downstairs and pulling the splinter out without screaming = making love.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/10/2008 6:35:55 PM | | Sex is pleasure and its a physical need designed to be pleasurable to humans so that they can copulate and propagate the species. Love can make sex better/more harmonious as there is real cooperation between the two however love is not sex you ask me but if you wanna romantisize it then it can become "love making". | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/11/2008 12:36:33 AM | making love is when you melt into that other person completely with all your heart, mind, body and soul. you have the feeling that you are in another dimension, definitely in an altered state of consciousness.
sex is that winking quickie you have with your loved one at lunch time. then you make up for it by making love with him all night.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/11/2008 4:11:46 AM | the latter is a physical action where both parties need to release, destress, feel human... and then roll over
the former is where both parties feel an emotional and physical feeling of connectedness that continues well after the ejaculation...

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/14/2008 12:02:31 AM | Ohhhh I think that crazy sex is more of a spontaneous, physical thing like say on a park bench in a pouring thunderstorm. Making love is much more of a emotional, sensual connection. :)
Thought about getting into more detail but..... let's just leave it at that. ;)
As usual just my .01. | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/14/2008 8:57:24 AM | | Just having sex is more about getting yourself off and just relieving some pent up frustration. Sometimes you just need to have sex. Making love is usually involves showing your significant other that you care for them and trying to pleasure them instead of just caring about getting yourself off. | |

Sex is like cake. Cake alone is okay.
Love is like the icing and whipped cream and chocolate and all the delicious extras that make the cake more than it ever could be alone. I want my cake and eat it too.
ROFL. That is almost exactly and word for word how I described sex. Awesome lol.
Yea to me, sex is just release of passion. $50 can get you sex if you really want it that bad.
Making love, though I really dislike that phrase, is about making sure that both people are completely satisfied and made to feel unique and "one and only". It's usually less primal, and more Harlequin Romance.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/14/2008 7:30:08 PM | Anyone can have sex. You don't have to have such a strong emotional attachment to have great sex, but love making is much more intimate. You take the time to learn the other persons wants and needs. You know what that touch means and what that sigh is all about. You can look into each others eyes and not say a w0rd as to what will happen next. Just my opinion. | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/22/2008 8:04:54 PM | Making love is endless hours of foreplay without a thought about yourself, or your own pleasure. Making love is far more than just the sex act. It's getting your partner a robe on a chilly morning... getting up "after" and going downstairs to make hot chocolate with whipped cream (at 3am). Laying in the dark, holding onto one another, stroking one another till we fall asleep...
Making love can only happen if BOTH parties feel the same way, and to the same depth...
You may find it once in your lifetime... good luck finding it again.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 8/22/2008 8:49:15 PM | When having sex, the physical bodies mate, when making love the physical and ethereal bodies mate, so the souls actually touch and merge. a much more profound experience, as far as I am concerned.
