| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 12:33:32 AM | Actually making love is much more expensive if one includes wine and dine and all relevant costs, including opportunity cost of time, but that, economics, is besides the point.
"Making love is of the soul"? Like Soul Music? Sex is like hard rock (or while listening to it), making love is when one does it while listening to soul music. As per elevator music .......

Who its for... "having sex" is more about your own pleasure, "making love" is about wanting to make sure your partner enjoys it more than you want yourself to enjoy it (and if both people are doing that, its wonderful That about sums it up completely.

Sex is just getting of and something people do for pleasure. Couples, strangers and friends do this action.

You are so wrong here, one day you will understand. When your body and spirit connects on a much higher level.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 2:00:39 PM | Having sex is when your not emotionally connected with your partner even though it isn't neccessarily a selfish act. It can be wanting to pleasure your partner just like making love is.
Making Love is when you and your partner are emotionally connected mind, body and soul. Obviously, making love is always better than just sex.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 2:20:15 PM | Sex is just sex. I don't know if any of you will understand what I mean, but, making love is when you allow yourself to be vunerable.
When I've made love, I was scared. She saw through everything I hide behind as a man, and she still loved me.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 4:14:13 PM | When I first had sex, my partner was cold, I was shivering, we were trying to figure the puzzle of putting the plug into the socket, and when we made it work, we decided to stop because things weren't pleasing enough. Sex is the satisfaction of one's "criminal lusts", so to speak, but it is a disappointment of the higher spirit, and leads to no true joy.
When I first made love, we made sure each other was warm and comfortable. I asked her if I could touch her, and she opened her body to me willingly. I melted in her arms even as she took me into her bosom and soul, and when we finally climaxed, we had been rewarded for our kindness with a taste of heaven on earth. Making love is the truest form of human emotion, and even though this second example actually occured on the internet, with a woman I met online who lived thousands of miles away, our love was true enough that distance did not matter.
Sex is about having the other person's body to make you happy.
Making love is about begging the other person's soul to allow you to make it happy through the use of your collective bodies and minds.
Sex is coupling. Making love is union.
Sex is 15 minutes of pleasure. Making love is a taste of eternity.

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 4:29:56 PM | Great post and some great answers - agree with most of them
Sex = exchange of body fluids
Making love is about connecting with someone, losing yourself in the moment and finding yourself having an out of body experience.
My preference? Both in the same session

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 4:52:29 PM | | In my opinion...'having sex' is Scratching an Itch... Doesn't matter who it is, you just are horny!!! 'Making Love' is actually feeling something! Caring about your partner, loving him or her as you want them to feel loved! And hoping the feeling is returned. Both serve a purpose. | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 4:53:59 PM | When I'm making love, I'm so into my partner and am having such an emotional high...that the particulars of the act are blurred and unimportant. Having sex is for pure, raw sexual pleasure and every move is evaluated. Becca | |

| What is the difference between Having Sex and Making Love Posted: 12/7/2007 5:04:05 PM | | Well, from all of your answers, I can see why no one is finding their last and one and only partner, Think back to when you made love to that one person and then later fell in love with them, what was sex like after that? Was there not a difference after your fellings came nto the act? Just a thought | |
