What if Internet Dating didn't exist

Only been in internet dating this year.
I'd have no less dates than now (zero). Maybe more?
I'd not have messaged the few people here I like.
I'd still think height is not a problem, at least in real life.
I'd have read a lot more books.
I'd have worked out a lot more.
I'd have gone out a lot more this year.
Hmmm....Maybe I should spend a LOT less time on this site. Sounds like there are a lot of advantages.

You forgot that you did not shell out $50.00 a month like E-Takeyourmoney.

No bars, no newspapers. I'd approach the woman then grunt out "Me Tarzan, You Jane" then I'd throw her up over my shoulder and leave with her.

What if Internet Dating didn't exist

If there was no internet dating possibility, I would simply curl up into a fetal ball and die.

In roughly 3000 years, my almost completely time-ravished corpse, would be discovered under a local Starbucks location. In the future, Starbucks with have replaced most religion and will also employ roughly 38 percent of the world population. (which was culled in the Coffee wars of 3203 - 3273)

They would revitalize some of my cells and create a new version of myself. This version would be much better than the original, but still have back hair and a lopsided grin.

I would be put into stasis for awhile, until my temporal signature started to resonate in harmony with the current time line.

However, once I became aware of what was going on, I would then ask for computer and interweb access, only to find out that the internet was replaced by rubbing together two glowing rods, mysteriously shaped like demon penises (why I know what shape a demon's penis is, at that time, is still a mystery, even to myself).

I go into shock and curl up into a fetal ball again...

That's it...

The End.

If internet dating didn't exist, I'd be visiting in more coffee shops drinking more hot chocolate, or something non-coffee related but still drinkable. I'd be talking to people I meet at the library or bookstore, or any store related to one of my many hobbies! I'd be joining more clubs, going to more yoga and maybe even frequenting those silly but fun learning annex courses!

I'd have to get over the whole shy thing first though!

Oh I should add that previously I'd found partners in my circles of friends (ugh, break up by association is a pain in the arse though), and work buddies. Internet dating is a relatively new dating strategy for me, but at least I'm meeting people other than the friends of my friends! haha... Much larger selection of people to talk to, which is great, truly...

if it didn't exist, I would invent it and make huge money on it!

later on, I would find my One, as money really doesn't count, but Love does

am I talking nonsense?

I would never have found my special someone and I would have been limited to the men I met at work which I suspect would have left me single for the foreseeable future. But I wouldn't have cared because I wouldn't have known anything better.

@smilinglaughing: No! you are not talking nonsense. It's not too late, though. You could invent the Holograph Dating Machine for the complete virtual experience! Target market: for people who don't like people but still want to date em! I do believe it would be a big seller.

Before internet dating, I used personal ads and dating services. The most effective one for me was called Single Booklovers.
