Among the results: Fifty-seven percent of Americans have had sex outdoors or in a public place. Half talk with their partners about their sexual fantasies. Forty-two percent call themselves sexually adventurous. Twenty-nine percent have had sex on a first date, and about as many have had an "unexpected sexual encounter with someone new." Fifteen percent of men -- and three in 10 single men age 30 and older -- have paid for sex. About half of women say they've faked an orgasm. The link to the entire article is posted below.

Although it depends what your looking for surely if you go on a first date and there is that attraction what does it matter if you do, you dont have to live by what society tells you is right and wrong, only what is right and wrong for yourself and other parties involved. | |

30% of all my dates, the good ones resulted in sex within 4 hours
50% of my dates would have resulted in the same thing but something I did like talking or breathing turned them off
20% - weren't going anywhere from the get go.
Women in the western world have become a product of a Anti Feminist backlash an it's actually gotten sad
Feminism turned women into frigid man haters...... but now they're emotionally twisted attention whores who'll drop the panties at the drop of a hat.
Poor upbringing has turned both males & females into spoiled toxic brats bent on self destruction.

i can remember buying a copy once and all it contained were pictures of not-very nude women and loads of adverts for whiskey and after shave....stuff like that really.
i would rather buy Hello magazine...far better pictures of sexy babes in sexy clothes.
anyway ive met 3 women this year from off this site and all 3 i had sex with the first day........and yes it was the ladies who iniated the sex. | |

This study examined the impact of the Internet on personal and sexual safety for women meeting men through online ads. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected with an online survey. Of the 740 women who completed the survey, 568 reported having met in person with a man who answered their online personal ad. Results revealed that women used e-mail communication prior to a face-to-face meeting to negotiate such issues as safety, boundaries, sexual preferences, history of sexually transmitted infections, and condom use. Thirty percent of respondents engaged in sexual activity on their first encounter. Seventy-seven percent of respondents who met an online partner did not use condoms for their first sexual encounter. The high frequency and intensity of e-mail communication prior to meeting in person cultivated acceleration of intimacy for the individuals involved and may have affected women's decisions to engage in risky sexual behaviors.

So basically, less than 70% are not meeting in a public place for a first date? Interesting. Your logic is unfortuantely far too common. There is absolutely no connection between the statistic and your claim.
Most people are relatively mobile. They have legs, drive cars, ride motorcycles, catch taxis, all kinds of things. Meeting in a public place then going to someones home is pretty normal tiger and I would say tends to happen in the vast majority of these kinds of encounters.
Indeed, it is perfectly possible to have sex in- wait for it- public places and cars parked in public places.

Really though, who cares. If your comfortable and you want to do it then do it for gods sake. Who cares? Use protection and enjoy. We are all creatures of the earth, meant to mate and have an urge to u know what! WE ARE ANIMALS> )

Your "dating style", whatever it is, is your choice, and for happiness in the process, you should find someone with a compatible style.
However, there are people with "standards", who won't sleep with "just anyone", but who, as mature adults, readily embrace that sharing sexuality is addressing a basic relationship need.
That you view anyone, who approaches it differently, as lacking standards or selectivity, reveals a lot about your personality and character. Good luck with that mindset in finding an attractive, successful, intellignet, and confident man. | |

Posted: 7/23/2008 10:15:21 AM | well I would have thought it would have been much higher ...i have when i was dating only met a few from online ...but it has been 100% with me ...yep everyone of them on the first date ....and i am not saying thats a bad thing ...i hold it in its self against none of them ..the one comment i wanted to put forth ..i saw almost the same survey the other day and im to busy right now to look it up ..but this survey was among swingers ...couples that intend to meet people to eventually have sex with ...IT WAS ONLY 10% OF THEM ...that had sex on the first date/meeting...do swingers have more morals than I do ???? Guess they do...when guilty ..confess | |
