| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/21/2005 11:49:48 PM | Definitely without question a Cat person. Much for the same reasons. Cats are smarter too. They would be easier to train on that level save for the fact that they are intelligent enough to not WANT to be. lol LOVE my cats, loyal, but without giving up their sense of self. BEAUTIFUL! I have to say that I am a bit worried about you Taurus on the whole torture aspect though. lol I think there is something deeper there. I used to work for a kennel and ya, the whole pit issue is WAY over rated, Dalmations and****r spaniels have the highest bite ranking last I checked, but can't mention Lady and Perdita can we? Good dog, scare away the sales and Jehovah's, can I borrow your dog?
As far as those that have allergies - great product by Outright, takes care of it. Petco has it, cured two people I know.

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 1:42:16 AM | | I like both. I kept huskies and they are awesome. When we went for a walk I would put on their harnesses and let them tow me around on my bike. The 3 of them were always enthusiastic when it came to walks. The other pets were several Korat cats, Shadow, Nobita and Chibi. Shadow and her daughter Chibi preferred people to other cats and were very social. Nobita was typically only interested in people when they had something he wanted or couldn't get for himself. | |

Dog person. Litter boxes scare me.
Cat person. Dog shit on my shoes scares me. :)
Seriously though, I like `em both. Two cats of my own, with acres of personality (one rides around on my shoulders), and three dogs with my buddy upstairs I'm always playing with.

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 4:37:08 AM | .
I've had both cats and dogs over the years.. now I just have a cat... I'd hate to see what the floor of my condo would look like after leaving a dog at home all day
also.. when I had a dog and had to go away for a day and a half.. the dumb dog would pig out untill it was almost sick on the food I left out for them ( I saw them chow down as I left) and then likely starved the rest of the time I was gone.. now the cat on the otherhand was smart enough to eat what it needed at the time... there were still a few kibbles left when I got home... the other nice thing... I didn't have 3 steaming piles (did you ever have a german sheppard?? they crap bigger than bulls.. I swear!!) to clean up off the floor with the cat.. they neatly used their box..
also the dogs seem to crave attention from eeeeveryone... regardless if they like the person or not...
my cat would come out.. check the person out.. and if they didn't like them.. they would bugger off and then come out again once the person was gone.. hehah.. I'm kind of the same way... I like to hang out with the people that mean something to me.. but I don't bother hanging out with people I don't care for.. just for the sake of doing something..
plus.. dogs are gross.. they eat turds and rotten garbage because they like it.. not because they are hungry... we had a dog once that would not eat their food but then when we let them out, they would go and eat rotten garbage or cow turd... ick...
I'm more of a cat person | |

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 4:44:17 AM | Get one of those alien looking wrinkle-skin cats... those things are freaky... but they are supposed to be great for people with allergies... plus they have that cool weird factor... and if you've ever held one.. their skin feels weird and is very warm... flop em over your feet when you have cold feet in the winter... that is if they dont have a toe attacking fettish.. cat teeth are sharp

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 7:53:11 AM | @ atlas, I have a German Shepherd and he doesn't sh*t on my floors, he doesn't crave everyones attention either. He minds his own buisness. I leave his food out and he eats it when he feels like eating. He definately doesn't eat out of the trash like you say your's did. If you going to have a dog, especially a good dog like a German Shepherd, you might want to train him or her when they are young so they do do stupid sh*t like yours did. Back on subject, I would take a cat over a small dog. I hate little dogs. They are the most annoying creatures on the planet. All the blood curdling barks, hyperactivity and uncontrolable bladders are a little to much for me thank you. | |
|
| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 9:00:42 AM | | jared - Amen to that opinion on little dogs! I think they were expressly bred so that their owners could drive insane all their friends and neighbors, while all the time crooning "aww, ain't it cute the way my snookie ookums shatters glass with his bark"? | |

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 9:04:17 AM | I love both. I have 3 cats right now, and this morning I wanted to get rid of them all because I had this beautiful vase with 3 gorgeous Birds of Paradise flowers that was given to me by my cousin at his wedding last night.
I woke up this morning to find this vase SMASHED, water all over my carpet and sofa. Then, there was cat puke all over my workout mat from one of them who decided to chew on the flowers.
I actually cried about it. He is my first cousin, and it meant a lot to me that he took me aside and said "Here Mich, I was saving this for you"

A person that would devote their time to something that looks up to them, says a lot about them. You can count on them at time of need. It show they care for those that need help.
Don't get me wrong, I have a cat and a dog. Love them both

| Cat or Dog person Posted: 5/22/2005 9:26:52 AM | in todays world i find it extremely sad to see idiots losers mice get a dog to protect them. companies are offering free home alarm systems which in the long run are cheaper and actually more efficent. to see a dog tied up 24/7 has no life at all. in all, id rather see them dead if need be. imagine yourself tied to a house, see the owners walk by, not talk to you, only give you food once a day. what kind of a life is that? none! the people owning these dogs should not be able to own a dog. EVER. not even any kind of pet. they have no respect for life at all. i love both, dog cat allllllll animals, they will always have a place in my heart. who ever complains about this post of mine, here is your answer.
