thehealer, sorry to hear you won't be attending, but if you'd like to organize a meet and greet, please feel free to do so. It is a volunteer position and the rewards, as with any volunteer position, are great !

I had a member message me to ask for clarification on what I meant when I said "preferences" in my opening post to this thread. I replied thusly and am providing this response to assist anyone else with the same question:
By preferences, I mean that if two people have been chatting on here and would like an opportunity to bowl in the same lanes for one game (remember we are playing more than one game if we can), than we will try to accommodate that. This is a way to meet n greet fellow POFers, which includes first meet opportunities for many folks too.
So, keep those sign ups coming folks -- it's a great big pond (ice fishing  anyone) !

Well I have booked the entire 10 lanes for us, as it looks like we'll have at least 40 bowlers Saturday. But, people are more than welcome to continue signing up. We can certainly bowl six to a lane if necessary !!
And, I have pre-warned Julianna's Pizza that they may see a convergence of 30 to 40 people after 11 Saturday ... and they will be ready for us. | |

Welcome to the Fish Bowl to make it right, wigglyworm and young sask heart !
It's going to be a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing those I've met already and meeting those that are new to these gatherings. ! 
Just a reminder that my fellow hosts and I will be organizing the Teams (somewhat) to try to keep the gender balance on the lanes (we wouldn't want the ladies to show up the gents too badly with our bowling style and finesse now would we? ).

Well, tonight's the Fish Bowl and it looks like we'll have more than enough bowlers AND revelers -- but we can always accommodate more !! So sign up if you're interested in finding something fun to do on a winter's eve.
The hosts and I will be formulating teams at the Bolorama tonight, once people sign in their attendance and participation. This will be a completely non-scientific process that will try to keep the women/men split even on each lane for (I hope) two games. We have the place for two hours from the time we start bowling / dancing / cheering / fishing !
Looking forward to seeing everyone out and having fun !  | |
