Posted: 12/17/2007 2:50:03 PM | One of the best places if found to meet women and make friends was to take up square dancing. You get to mix with 7 others peoplo for a short pirod of time and if you like someone you got a good chance to dance talk with them for more dances that night.
Yea lot of peoplo say square dancing is for squares but it fun. Find a single class to go to. | |

That way you can hook up with a group of strangers in your area who you know you share an interest with. Some will be single, some won't, but all are probably there to meet new people and friends, and a few may be also looking for that special guy/girl.
Problem with "singles groups", is that you likely share little in common aside from that you're all single, and even sites such as this only open you up to that elusive few who want to brave the world of meeting by internet. | |

Posted: 12/18/2007 11:14:48 AM | OP, since ur a guy, heres some tips that really do work, they have helped me very well thru the years.
1. girls love to dance, so you want to go dancing, if you don't know how to dance, ask your mom or sister to teach you. This is one of the best ways because most guys egos stop them from dancing so you have great pickings.
2. spend weekends at the beach, tons of girls go in groups and they are looking for fun things to do.
3. join a ymca ywca and hang out on the girls nites, one nice thing here is most all of the girls will be in good shape.

Posted: 12/18/2007 5:25:40 PM | Group activities such as hiking clubs, skiing clubs, scuba clubs, motorcycle clubs, card clubs, and many many more.
The problem with much of this is having the time, money and energy to do it with a number of people that may or may not be at your level of expertise in that area, and the effort you must put forth over a long period of time in order to "hook up" with the right ones that fit with you.
I have found it much easier to just go by myself and do the things I like to do, and hope every so often, that I might run into someone that will enjoy it as much as I do, be as active, free, and good looking enough to have my attention on multiple levels and in multiple ways, as I hope I do for them as well.
Dating is just a "crap shoot" at best, but if you roll those "sevens", you just might be lucky enough to win........ This could happen within a group activity, alone, or on a dating site like this one.

I have seen a lot of people go there, not an atmosphere of a club (they sell beer/wine, but no smoking and not as crowded). | |

You can strike up a conversation standing in any line.
Holding the door for a woman, at any place. (guarantee she will smile and thank you)
I think Dog Park was a good one. Especially here in Phoenix where the weather is always nice. If you don't have a dog, borrow a friend's for a day on the weekend. | |

And I have heard that trying to meet a women at a gym wasnt a good idea | |
