i think its my first ever long poem!
its tough when your young children,
with parents by your side
who used to be there every day
but now there times devide.
emotions get pulled one way,
and then there pulled the other,
with relatives concerned for us
its like were on big brother.
holidays together are just a distant past,
we took them all for granted,
a shame they didnt last.
many times they parted
but then they both got back,
we seen the writing on the wall,
our thoughts we tried to mask.
then one day it all had gone
our tears where more than trickle.
from friends at school we all agree
marriages are fickle.
now mums moving on now,
she thinks dad has a blast.
she doesnt know the way he feels,
memories of our past.
dad thinks mums too greedy
but all she wants to do,
is love and care and shelter us
from all of her lifes quarrels,
from hearing of the many things,
not resting on her laurells!
if i could wish them just one thing,
the one that makes it great
(cos im not 10 years old no more
my sister is not 8)
if they could only melt the frost,
we know its not too late.
and dads now in a grown ups site,
just looking for a date!!
merry xmas to all my friends in pof,
and all that you wish yourself for the new year.

A Christmas Tale
At this time of year it is patently clear
That the males are the ones who are blest.
Thoughts like "goodwill to men" we hear time and again
And we find them quite hard to digest.
As we women all know, men think they run the show,
And sometimes we allow them this pause.
But it gets on our nerves, like too many hors d'oeuvres
When we want to get at the main course.
Many times out of mind the same problem we find,
Leaving plans to the menfolk is risky.
Christmas spirit they think is some kind of a drink,
Such as vodka, Baccardi, or whiskey.
Since we carry the load, men keep out of our road,
We are ready and willing and able.
For it's perfectly clear, that the stuffed turkeys here
Are not always confined to the table.
The traditional way is now rather passe,
Lets give credit, where credit is due.
Then you'll see, man or boy, in return you'll enjoy
The fruits of OUR goodwill to you.
Have a wonderfull one and all, and especially to all my special friends on here, you know who you are.....

For those of us who have had a crappy year i wish for us all to have a better 2008. For the nicest dreams to come true, for us all to find peace of mind and the happiness we deserve. Hopefully this coming year will be more settled and joy bringing that the last few years i have had and i know some others on here have experienced.
For Monkabella and Jovial, i sincerely hope that you both get back to your best and beat that effing, vile, revolting thing for good. You are both really lovely ladies with whom i have had the pleasure of conversing with and both deserve to make the fullest recoveries possible. I send my love and a bit more healing to you both
All of us should live life to the fullest as best we can. They say you dont regret the things you did but the things you didnt do when the time comes. My wishes for us all is that we leave behind old regrets that hold us back and let go of the things we cling to that stop us living and keep us existing instead.
