Video Killed the Radio Star - cuz it really did. There was this guy, just before MTV was launched, fat as hell, ugly as sin, but grreat voice. #1 on the radio waves. Within a month of MTV, he's gone, never to be heard from again

Also, "Relax", and a lot of stuf by Queen. So what if they were gay, and I'm not? It's still good music.

I had a nine hour car ride today, so had plenty of time to think:

Sounds of Silence
If I had a Hammer
I think I Love You-gotta love the Partridge Family, and Brady Bunch, for that matter
Uptown Girl
Thriller-oh, come on, that's everybody's dirty secret
The Day the Music Died
Sweet Home Alabama

I will think of more on the drive back...

Oh my gosh, Vrogarr...I heard that song for the first time when my mom bought a Oldsmobile and they gave you a tape when you bought the car. I can't hear that song without remembering that car...

I buy Japanese, now.

My first concert was Violent Femmes...ah, good times, good times...

I think we got that same tape with our 89 Plymouth Voyager!

I also buy Japanese... Suuuuuzuki

My first concert was Gwar (unless you count my Dad's bluegrass band, which I don't)

Shappy,

Yep. REO did do the song "Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore."

There are so many songs that I can post that I really like from the eighties.

There are soooo many.

Romantics' "Talking in Your Sleep"
Benny Mardones' "Into the Night"
Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight"
Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights"
Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire"

The list goes on. Retro rules.
