People respect people who respect themselves, self respecting people will not let themselves be treated with disrespect, and that is what you are probably doing IMO. You generalise about men not being honest and romantic, but there are allot of them out there who are, only they may have been hurt, and will look for the signs of someone who is genuinely worthy of their affection. Being overly nice and attentive to a man does not make you seem worthy, it makes you seem desperate and dishonest, because a self respecting woman will expect a man to prove HIS worthiness, before she starts dishing out dollops of unconditional love and affection. | |

Posted: 12/23/2007 2:21:56 AM | Use a discerning eye, from my life experience, because people in general, (not just men), who have morals and integrity, who are honorable, compassionate, and mature are rare. Finding a decent person these days is no small feat. Plan on looking for awhile; in fact, just get real patient with this idea.
It's nothing personal, Montana, so try not to take it that way. It's really not about you and how you're behaving. You're putting something wonderful out there and it will return to you; just be careful of the fool's gold along the way. Don't jump at the illusion of the real thing or the first thing that comes along. And be particular about who gets your hugs. Not everyone needs or deserves them.
Listen to your gut and your heart. And believe. It will happen.

Posted: 12/23/2007 3:36:26 AM | well, men , deep inside want love and affection, but I think us men have to put up a strong wall to be more dominit. men will say anything to a woman to get what they want, and sadly men want the best looking woman, some men are true to there word, some men will just play you.. now a man should ask the woman for a hug, respect for her body.. miss I,m 30 living off welfare, and all my life I have taken shit and heartbreak, your strong and the guys you have dated are all weak, weak in my eyes is a false person, a person who thinks his pride will be broken if they show affection. a strong man will give affection regardless who is around. miss try going for an average joe and see what happens, but when it come down to men it,s a pride thing... for a guys own well being he has to be very cautious.
and on top of that you have women that have mad bad choices and now think that no guy is any good.
the lady above is a prime example. she chose a bad guy, he screwed her over, now all guys are bad.
I don't think there is really any answer to most of the male female problems, as adults we are all think like teenagers, we know it all and we don't want to listen to it,
so everybody is gonna have trouble until they learn how to talk and find the right person.
now days there is a solution to this, do to all of the dating problems groups of friends are starting to get together and date their friends and it stands to reason that they have the qualities that draw them together in the first place. | |

I'm really starting to believe that they do not exist. After being involved with a lying, cheating dog for the past three years, I have a bad taste in my mouth...
Fortunately for me I live in a world of reality and have found through lifes experiences women are just as big of dogs. My Ex-wife and a couple of other women proved this fact when they stepped out on me and cheated with others. Three times now I've had my heart ripped out of my chest and dropped kicked into the pit of despair. But you know what. All you can do is pick yourself up, brush off the dust and if necesassary put a band-aid on and move on. The world is full of liars and cheaters, male and female, so you have to be more selective in your choice and not be so quick to give fully to the other. I realize this may sound a little defensive on my part, but unfortunately men do have feelings just as women do, and yes we can get hurt as well. | |

And all of sudden something changes and you are out on your ear, no explanations, nothing. It makes you feel so bad. Thats where i am now, after just splitting up with my girlfriend. I gave her my heart for almost a year, only to be chucked aside.

in fact regarding the above statement is exactly how i have been treated by some women.
is that better then, ladies is that what you REALLY want to hear from guys......because in some cases i think it is.
you have to meet the guy first then decide if he is worthy of being called a " true and honest " guy.
IMO the honest , decent guys are all dead.
