Good stuff! Is there any way to have the first four movies destroyed?

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/19/2008 1:52:15 PM | I don't know if I would bring my 6 year old nephew, and my 8 year old neice to it. Theres a couple things that might be disturbing to them.

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/19/2008 2:38:31 PM | It's the best movie I've seen in YEARS.
The Joker was perfect, terrifying, psychotic... The Batman was wonderfully dark. Harvy Dent was excellent throughout . The whole movie was well balanced, sitting through it did not feel like 2.5 hrs.

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/19/2008 8:44:22 PM | The best Batman film overall, but I don't think Ledger's Joker was so much better than Nichalson's, which was also good. I remember going to the theater to see BATMAN back in 1989. Both Jokers were very convincing as being total sociopaths but simultaneously ingenius.

Rachel being killed off like that was a great touch. It added just the right amount of sadness to the film. A sense of loss. While Katie Holmes is much more attractive, her acting talent falls short of Gyllenhaal's ability. Great Cast. The unexpected actions of the prison inmate were also touching.

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/19/2008 10:14:53 PM | heath ledger was my secret fetish and now hes gone so i dont even want to see that movie You can't tell it's Ledger behind all that Joker make-up anyway so go see the movie ... which was as discombobulated as the Joker himself. | |

I agree, Maggie is a much better actor. Tom and the Scientologist probably said no to the sequel. I liked Ledger better as the joker than Nicholson. Even at the time, there was a song by Prince "DONT STOP DANCING" or something, and he was made up as the joker, he looked perfect, long skinny face etc etc.

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/19/2008 11:25:08 PM | o.k. yes im looking forward to see the dark knight but still i mean common whats going on here? ever since batman begins came out people in general seem to be very quick to act like the previous batman movies never happened.o.k. sure i can understand maybe why people werent big fans of batman and robin and maybe feel like they want to forget that movie cause it was very campy and maybe overly colorfull for some.but the first tim burton movies are classics and were really good.first of all the first movie had the best joker ever in jack nicholson so why are people acting now like jack nicholson never played the joker.jack was the perfect casting choice as the joker and he was totally imerse into the role.why are people making such a big fuss over heath ledger? is it cause hes dead?yes from what i heard im sure he plays a good joker but can he really beat jack nicholson that much??? maybe he is equal in his own way but im sure he doesnt beat jack. jack nicholson was born to play the joker.jack is crazy and hes got this way with his acting that is perfect for the role. i find it funny how people are quick to forget something they really like and i also find it funny how hollywood is quick to forget also the sucesses they have in the past just cause a movie is made different a bit and becomes a huge succes with critics and fans. when the first batman came out in 1989 hollywood was very proud of it and jack nicholson and micheal keaton.it was all they talked about for years.it made tones of money.but over the years people or fans got a bit tired of batman when it ended up at the sequel batman and robin.then people and the movie company started acting like they were ashame of the series of successfull films they had made. plus we entered the cynical 90's or the year 2000 and films that had a sense of campiness and stuff were considered un-cool. then arrived batman begins.the perfect batman movie for this era.little use of gadgets and little use of visuals.instead a comic book movie more focused on the story instead of the action scenes.a more adult batman movie.personaly yes i like batman begins and i found it refreshing as a sequel.i liked that this movie focused more on the legend and details of how batman came to life then the other flicks but i still didnt see what was wrong with the older batman movies.i think they deserve just as much interest and love as the new movies. i find it dumb that just cause we live in a society right now where people dont want anything that feels un-cool in theyre movies and dont want anything campy that it means that movies like the first batman movies are worthless now.im tired of hollywood remaking movies that dont need to be remade.yes i like batman begins or i want to see the new dark knight but i still think if theses movies wouldnt have been made i would have been good with my batman fix with the old movies.i dont mind christian bale as batman hes got what it takes for the role but i prefer micheal keaton personally.hes way more interesting as an actor than boring bale.personaly i think remaking the batman movies is an insult to the old movies and tim burton and stuff.i really dont see the need for it except that its cause hollywood was running out of ideas for movies as usual. lol | |

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/20/2008 2:25:10 AM | OMG the movie was amazing! I would say a touch long... but the movie was amazing.
Also I don't feel that Ledger's joker can be compared to Nicholson's joker. Ledger's joker was more sinister/dark. I feel like they are both amazing in their own right and totally not comparable.

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/20/2008 6:29:31 PM | Heath Ledger as the Joker truly DID give a performance of a lifetime with this role! Now it's a bit unnerving for me because he was so alive on the screen and I know that he's gone. POWERFUL performance - and you know they left it open for him to reprise the role - but, now those hopes are over and and done with ... May he rest in peace... | |

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/21/2008 7:48:13 AM | | I seen it this past Saturday. The Joker's acting was PHENOMENAL. It's a bit longer then most movies, (it's 2 1/2 hours) but it's worth the outrageously high ticket prices to see it. LOl. | |

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/22/2008 1:38:24 AM | | I saw it yesterday it was AWESOME!!! At least two thumbs up! Heath Ledger was amazing!!! I'll definitely see it again if I get the chance! :=D | |

| Batman: The Dark Knight (movie) Posted: 7/22/2008 5:34:29 AM | I saw “The Dark Knight” last night in IMAX. In a word, “WOW!” Totally awesome! One of the few times that I can truly say that I got a lot more than my money’s worth. The movie is 2½ hrs of thrilling, chilling action! (Director Christopher Nolan and company worked a miracle – you guys are amazing!!) And, yes, it is dark... kinda gruesome. The story is excellent as is the acting and effects. And, the late Heath Ledger’s Joker is more than spine-curdling... his performance is truly Oscar-worthy. I’m still shaking. Easily the best movie this summer… and the best I’ve seen in a long time! GO SEE IT!! | |

It looks overhyped. And it's rated PG-13! That means the Joker is still a wuss!
The only reason why it's PG-13 is the conservative language, and the camera cutting away at the very second the Joker kills someone gruesomely.

jack was the perfect casting choice as the joker and he was totally imerse into the role.why are people making such a big fuss over heath ledger?
Jack Nicholson was NOT the Joker. He played himself AGAIN which made him the Jacker. My huge problem with the Burton films is that they are too over the top. The penguin was never ever raised by penguins. I've always hated the burtons and the schumachers.
Getting back to the Joker though, read some batman comics with the joker guy and then tell me that Jack was still perfect for the role. Joker is crazy and awful funny but he's also psychotic, chaotic, and never really had a plan that he didn't start carrying out right away. He's never been in "love" with anyone or anything other than the raw emotion from destroying things. Nicholson never embodied that.
Ledger embodies all of it and more. See the movie.
I've seen it 3 times now and it just keeps getting better.

This is an extremely violent film. I would not take younger teenagers to see it. Much younger kids aren't going to understand the very adult themes in this movie. In terms of impact, this movie is right up there with "Platoon". No happy ending . . . If you don't like violence, see this one at your own risk.
