Posted: 5/18/2008 11:07:05 AM | Please Help..I am the one Trinidadian who got into pof by, could I say default,, Let me explain, as I already did to one Administrator, Trappedonbayst,,If I remember his name,, I am Vonnie, I was introduced to this site by my sister in Canada, When I came on to register Trinidad was not on the register list. I understood this site to be a global dating site. More out of curiousity than a need I tried a few more times ,, lastly with my gmail id,, having left the US and, as I later believed, Alabama at the top of the list,, I suppose the autofill did the rest and I was accepted,,
Needless to say, I was very happy,, I've been on since then and totally enjoy the friendships I've discovered..
I Do Not want to be taken off this site but if it happens,, I guess I will accept it.
This morning I am at a loss,, I'm logged in but my viewed pages are not changing and I do not know who's online or not,,,The pages are stagnated!!
I need help here,, Hopefully this is a temporary setback,,

Usually it wud show a page of ppl that were ur matches i dont get anything now???

Posted: 5/18/2008 12:42:23 PM | Similar to the comments of those above, over the last 2-3 days it seems my viewed me page has almost stalled and the top row changed once, where as even with no one new viewing me, the top row normally contines to update. It does appears to have been fixed for a few hours then stopped again. The IM /online now, indicator is not appearing on my matches screen. Yet, other pages such as favorites appears to be working with log-on imformation changing as fav users login and logout.
I have tried the suggestionsoffered of; delete temp file, cookies, refresh and restart actions all with no success. I had read another note about Big Fish doing some large maintenance activity these past few days. Is that likely causing some of these issues? Can anyone shed some light on this? | |

Posted: 5/22/2008 10:32:49 PM | I'm gonna see if I can figure out his script, but it looks like the only time users update the view for the "viewed me" portion is ONLY when the viewing user is new to the new user profile -- meaning the query isn't pitching out the truth if X viewed me 2 months ago, and X viewed me today, X won't register the latest time they were online.
Once your "viewed me" grid fills up, the only time you will get new faces popping into the grid is if they are likely brand new users because they have never viewed your profile before AND/OR they don't have the "I want to let you know I viewed you" flag turned off.
Not that we entirely want to see who viewed us, but maybe everyone that viewed us once may have turned off that switch and you may never see them review my profile (or I would like to simply think so). | |

Posted: 6/2/2008 10:28:47 PM | Doubtful. It appears to be the same condition on the database. If Y views X, then they get applied once to my viewed me history grid. Then if they look again, they hit my recent online viewed-me line at the top. That's all.
The way the rule is described on the Viewed Me page, girls should reappear multiple times -or- moved out of the history to the front of that queue being the most recent viewer. It's not the case though. It only picks up new girls that have not viewed me ever and stacks them onto the queue just the one time. | |

Posted: 6/9/2008 12:42:25 PM | the problem with viewed me function (and I am using firefox) is that it goes to the people who recently viewed you,
but then when you click on them it goes right into the two page registration process, even though you are already logged in and everything else is working fine...
hmmm, big glitch.

Posted: 6/13/2008 4:10:44 PM | Pity it can`t be fixed. I have noticed the same that it is only the first time anyone views me that it shows up. I have numerous examples of people communicating saying they have re-read my profile but they do not show up on the `viewed me` page at all, probably because they viewed me some time before and they have timed out and fallen off the end of the page. The note under definitely says that the page displays who viewed you last at the top and I too would have expected someone who checked me out several times to appear several times on the page.

Make sure your Adobe Flash is the most current Version installed on your Computer.
Further, you are running an older Internet Explorer under Windows 98, so a more current and better suited Browser to run the newer Flash Engine is advised. Since you can't go up to IE7, download the Firefox Browser with Instant Messenger.
I might be able to find someone if I was set up with the guys in WA. state!
Narrow down the Distance Search Values to 5 or 10 Miles in both your My City and
My Matches and run a Demo Search to lock in your Settings.
Failing that, in your Edit Profile, change your City and Postal Code to Bellingham/Ferndale and set your Search Radius to 25 Miles, or any other similar Combination to locate yourself away from the Border, but search towards it.
