Most of it is either pathetic and insulting or just common sense ideas that any man with 2 brain cells to rub together would do anyway. I understand that when people fall for something and spend their hard earned money they get defensive when they find out they've been duped but trust me, the guy is a fraud and you have been suckered by this guy if you believe otherwise. I can't stand people that defraud others but I DETEST people that prey on people and take their money when thay are in a vulnerable state. This guy couldn't spend enough time in jail for doing this to people as far as I'm concerned. | |

Posted: 6/5/2009 4:54:12 PM | ^Just a little clarification here. Fraud is when something doesn't work. There have been enough people in this thread alone (myself included) that will attest to his stuff actually working. So fraud, it clearly is not.
I also just have to ask, why all the anger and hostility? Someone who has never needed any kind of assistance with this type of stuff would generally just laugh it off and ignore it. But usually, the people that go into huge vitriolic diatribes against it are those that have either never tried it and whose egos won't allow them to (i.e. it makes them feel "pathetic") or those who have tried it and failed. | |

Posted: 6/9/2009 5:15:20 AM | Shoot, you buy one book for $20 and you'd be on his newsletter that comes three times a week --and its helpful. I've gotten it for more than a year -- that's not taking advantage, especially because it is helpful. its worth it, and then some.
After thinking that I always just wanted to come across as a 'really nice guy' to everyone including women, which caused me to be taken advantage of --or being taken for granted -- by women, Dave has given me a new perspective. I'm still a really nice guy, but I don't have to have that approval to live my love life - and its so much better and more fun with women I would have been too intimidated by before... | |

There's a series of interviews with dating gurus that was particularly fantastic because it showed what worked for different people. Also there's a lot of social anthropology and evolutionary psychology that explains why some stuff that seem counter intuitive actually works very well. | |

Maybe a bit UNNERVED that a subculture of men have figured out ~to a science~ exactly how attraction works, and fine tuned utilizing that skill?
I'd say you're ignorant of PUA material. One can tell this by the fact that you're calling it 'games' that men are sucessfully trying to IMPROVE their ability to attract the opposite sex.
By that note, that ton of makeup you wear, that push up bra, those sexy clothes? All of that stuff you do to attract men? Wow! That's a GAME! That's 'Pretending to be something you're not'!

Deangelo calls his readers, wussies, pansies, and chumps in his articles. I wouldn't put up with someone calling me that in real life let alone pay money to hear it in book format.
Okay, apparently you've never been to military bootcamp or in any form of martial arts.
They do that type of stuff to toughen you up, to make you stronger on the inside, and to break that 'wussy complex' that most people have.
Same thing with Deangelo.

I've been reading David's newsletters and I think there is some very useful information to be had. It's not about pickup lines or playing on chicks. It's about improving your ability to actually approach a woman that you may like and to conquer your own inhibitions. Where you take it from there is up to you.
There is no 'game' to learn. He teaches you how to read how a woman is responding to you and how to escalate your interaction to the next levels. He doesn't teach you bait lines or what to wear or where to go to pickup any chick. He tries to teach you how to use those skills to land the woman that YOU WANT, nothing more. | |

This doesn't sound like someone who respects women or relationships to me. It sounds just like what he is. A bitter sleazy snake oil salesman looking to exploit women who isn't man enough to be accountable when his "techniques" turn to complete sh*t because that's what they are. Here is the segment:

- Single
- Emotionally Stable
- Able to carry on an interesting conversation

What do you guys think of Ross Jeffries? David DeAngelo was a student of his.
Not a big fan. Ross Jeffries relies a little too much, IMO, on neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and, frankly, I find NLP to be of very limited use. I've studied mental magic and have put NLP into practice in many of my effects, and the biggest problem with NLP is that it really only works for a fraction of a second.
Ergo, you might get a woman to think very briefly what you're trying to make her think, but it's highly unlikely that it is going to get her to remain interested in you when she walks away. | |
