| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/16/2009 10:07:35 PM | A smattering of history Places where sounds And views collide Imagery placed on hold In nights such as these.
Sweltering lovers hearts Move in ghostly patterns Over moonlit paths Placed there by fate.
Strewn to fires War torn and weeping Lying amidst falling embers Of the fallout
Sinking in the deep... ...blue.... .......sea.....

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/17/2009 10:41:11 AM | Squeezing out the last Drops of goodness Where good things lay Reflecting in ponds Secrets hold tight Never revealing A heart only meant to beat for your life Twinkling eyes Say everything Or nothing To the masses who want to know Gently drums beat While that goodness falls Exposing the closed off, Walled in, blackened hole Existing-- Since your absence.

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/18/2009 12:39:16 AM | Strings played on the mandolin Accompany her while singing The song of her life. Belting out music written For a muse so far away Pretentious hymns compete In the way back Barely heard by the masses A sound muffled by A legion of angels Purity in lyrical motion

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/18/2009 4:44:55 AM | Ten thousands watch while we sit all alone; watching with us while we wait for the phone. Silent, though screaming, cheering us on; hope always gleaming though we think it's all gone. Thousands on thousands watch us through our days invisible all, but they see all our ways. No sense in hiding the things that we are; the spirits abiding guide us from afar. Once when beside us, one gives us a nudge; once when inside us, rebukes for a grudge, ten thousand watch while we watch all alone, ten thousand cheer when we pick up the phone.
-inspired by "A legion of angels" nice write there.

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/18/2009 9:38:33 AM | Very welcome, thanks for the note.
So I'm off to find music in this life without sound off to find touch in a daze; off to make art in my own way, profound trying to see through the haze.
Steel wrapped posts stretch the wire to tune the amplifier cooks on the stage the fretboard calls like an old Scottish rune it's magic sometimes, all the rage.
I talk to the drums and the rhythm guitar I walk in the sound of their choice following whispers I hear from afar loving the sound of their voice.
- Hopefully the music is good tonight, never any real complaints...but there's something in the air when it's there.
Thanks again for the note, glad you enjoyed the read. Best wishes!

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/19/2009 5:55:24 AM | Did I hear the sound of blue, playfully dance around my ear? tickling my senses with her bubbly laughter? how sweet her whispers, how gentle her soul, I closed my eyes and drank her scent, inhaling her aura, encapsulating us both in the field of dreams, where we romped like children, deep in the clover of summer's love, hand in hand we made memories, in a scrapbook of innocence. | |

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/20/2009 10:03:55 PM | Slashed up insides In grief stricken memory a time where smiles were easily Found and handed out like candy Climbing from out of the what ifs and If onlys Seeing what colors other than red bloom in meadows Feeding the good Starving the bad Sometimes feeding either seems inappropriate The shadows don't outweigh Sunshine and reflections on Glass from the present For this time is the greatest time Watching them grow before me Time slipping by Edging out the sting of grief stricken memories Blotting up the mess left on elbows And hearts Wiping up the tears Remaining who you always knew I was Becoming who I never thought I could.

but as time wore on, and the bugles fell silent, she still walked among them wishing for a glimpse of what she had missed!

| Sounds of Blue... Posted: 2/21/2009 4:47:10 PM | He told me not to get used to it. I realized I was living that way Accepting my life of lost loves And broken dreams-- Getting used to it. Well I cried and thought of all of life's regrets Staring at a screen where he would write Giving me life advice I wasn't used to it. My life was changed that night He'd no idea what his words would mean Searing through me like a hot knife blade Getting through to the pain deep inside Calling my bluff on the poker face I wear For all who know me less. He blessed my life that night Just by saying... "Don't get used to it".
