Well according to my mum it does, yes, it's akin to the kitchen roll holder we have, she says the roll must be so you take the paper from the right hand side! I tend to leave all the changing of rolls to her, less hassle!

If you look at the holder from the left, it is hung lq, but if you look at it from the right, it is hung lp.

That doesn't make any sense at all!
If you were to look at the holder with the toilet roll held in the same position from the left or the right side it would look like this lq pl or this lp ql and certainly not like this lq lp | |

That would have to be performed with the assistance of some reinforcement though, perhaps a straightened out and strategically placed paperclip. Recipe for disaster obviously (as the next user takes aim at their posterior), but as disaster is frequently cancelled out by mirth I can't see a problem.

In all this discussion, however, we have lost sight of the fact that in 't' olden days, we had Izal toilet paper , which
1) was completely useless at removing .. er ... erm ... well, you know ...
2) ripped yer arse to shreds
3) was brilliant tracing paper for when I was learning to draw ......
