| Another Round Posted: 8/27/2008 9:58:59 PM | Thats a good poem river...thats all i can say about this poem, it bascially speaks for itself.
Here is an poem i written or just a little something i written, for my dad who passed away 2-22-2008
It's still so hard to realize and come to terms with you not being here anymore it's not the same as in if you had just got up and walked out on all of us at least we would know that you was still out there, but we all know where you went was not the time you wanted to leave we all know you loved us all in same ways and would never wanted us to go through this kind of pain.
I love you dad and i'm still hurting deep inside even tho i may not show it half the time around the family/friends does not mean that i'm not broken up on the inside of you passing away i never thought or realized i would see the day, where i would have to give up my dad and now all i do is think about you no matter where i am at or who is around or what kind of long day me and mom has had.

| Another Round Posted: 8/28/2008 12:12:15 PM | Mr. Riv------What can I say, you are breathtaking!!!!! Thank You, yes, Matt...lol does appreciate me!!(he better........lol) Love Ya hugs and kisses
If you all could see the interaction the in-betweens of our love for your own eyes to see you'd never have another doubt YOU, too, can have this bliss!!

| Another Round Posted: 8/28/2008 2:33:01 PM | friends they say are those who love you the way you are accepting all the cuts and scabs and the battle scars
to you my friend i want to say i'm grateful you are here and accept me the way i am i hold that thought so dear
so when i'm crazy as a loon or happy as a lark you're still my friend, e'er so near in the lightness and the dark

| Horseshoe Bay Posted: 9/2/2008 4:21:46 AM | i combed the shores of lake huron looking for that one special stone that bathed in centuries of moonlight and sun different from all the rest, my chosen one. hour upon hour i walked the beach picking a few here and there but discarding all within my reach including wasted thoughts, i became aware. hearing the gentle swish of the water and the loons call in horseshoe bay the warbler's whistle in the cedars and the distant shriek of the osprey. the white limestone boulders covered with blackened algae rest on the cambrian shoulders carved by glaciers slowly. i followed the sandpiper's pencil trail who skittered ahead with their twiggy legs stopping to poke at the sand for a meal under a young blue sky of no age. cormorants flew just above the water's wrinkles as a companion sun and the huron's breeze sprayed glitter on the wave caps that twinkled at the sleeping stars of night's fantasies. and there among the million stones i found a black rock with a hint of fire red and inside the core of the rock; my thoughts alone of the natural way of life hidden in my head. | |

| Horseshoe Bay Posted: 9/4/2008 5:01:41 AM | Hello people
Hammy...Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, the UP rocks!!! Going up a couple more times in Sept. and again in Oct. fishing...And of course when the ice freezes I'll be up there 4 or 5 times in the winter ice fishing...And the bars... oh yeah...the bars...
Grizzerman...Thanks! I appreciate you comment.
Tranquil Rose...I see spring has arrived over there...Thanks for the poem...Funny we stayed at a beautiful suite overlooking the Straits of Mackinaw( i got a great deal). Now this place was fancy...And you know who I talked too the most? Why the cleaning personal at the hotel. They are the ones who have the most upbeat attitudes and don't turn their noses up!
Rosie...As usual, always a pleasure when you stop by...Hey it's not fall yet...so stop talking about those autumn leaves!!!haha. Heck it was 93 degrees up here yesterday...There is still a month of swim time. Daisy rollin in some stink again huh? Don't say I did not warn you.
Huck, haha....yeah I guess you know me pretty well...PU.
Heather....Hi Kid...Sorry about your Dad. Death is so final...Your poem has no hidden agenda, you speak so clear and direct from your heart...He would be proud of you for being such an honest person...Thanks for sharing...
Tom...Oh thats me...When are you going to put out a poem? Well Riv, it took me 5 hours to write Horseshoe Bay and that was 5 hours that I really did not have at this time. But I can just put out anything if you would like. In fact here is one, I wrote this morn., I also put it on your thread Tranquil.
