Should I have given him my number???

I'm more curious as to why someone 40 years old has to ask a question like this?

Well this is easy to answer.. We all do things at different times. That we wake up with out the glow of Champayne. and Say.... OH CRAP ..... Now what.
The thing great about forums is we get such a diverse wealth of opinions.. So I can see why the OP asked here.

Suzie.. Good job.. dont' you hate it when the glow is gone and something that was nice, warm and fuzzy the nite before you wake up and turns into a frog.. The first thing that runs thru my mind is Thank God I didn't jump on it..

Now, you have no control if your friends give him your phone number since, you kind of gave passive agreement.. with the Flirting. Now. When he calls and you don't want to talk to you him.. Just be polite and distant..

One thing I do is, when I am interested is ask for their phone number. That way when the glow is gone and I can think clearly.. I can make the decision to call or not.. Might work... Sure has saved me a lot of headaches in the past.. I will always ask for theirs first, Then when I make the call I always block my number for a bit.. Then I chose the when and where of giving them my number.. By doing this I keep control of the situation..

Now I know you stated,. he has a lot of baggage right now. Well you know what is the harm in going very very slow, Getting to know him. I find Baggage has a way of working itself out.
Good luck..
Now I want to know when he gets your number from Friends what you are going to do

Good for you!!!!!!! He is SEPARATED - not divorced. This guy is still married, perhaps the ink will be dry on his divorce papers next week, maybe he and his wife may try and make another go of it.

I went out with someone years ago who was separated, he was a nice guy, nice enough that I thought his wife may be a nice woman, what they didn't need was a third wheel (me!!!) I have not put myself in a situation like that since, it just isn't the right thing to do, simple as that

You should good judgement and common sense, you woke up the next morning and knew that booze was doing alot of the talking last night.

Wishing you a groovy 2008!!!
