I think you should discuss the matter with the woman in question as it seems in all fairness that there are issues beneath the surface, i'd also not leave the judgement to a forum as decisions are supposed to be our own. | |

I find it little odd that you want to base your lives on what people in the forums say though...
I know, I thought that too but strangers will tell the truth, in these forums...everyone is very blunt! That's probably why...I agree five years is not bad at all.

Posted: 1/2/2008 9:27:26 AM | thanks all once again and especially lahmia and others that have commented on the forum !!! i totally agree what your saying and me and this special lady are actually working through it together !!! is just if shes 5 years older and i look 5 years younger !!! what shes saying in round terms is that in her eyes there ten years difference even if only in apperence !!! its the feedback is very important to both of us and she is monitoring the comments and i must say you all agree the same and she relieses that now !!! we have agreed to date a couple of times first but she is convinced that we will hopefully be giving it a go !!! so soz if i made it seem that you were deciding but in a way you are !!! your bluntness is excellent and i dont think she wants to lose me for such a small issue !!!! thanks all simon keep the feedback coming thou !!!!!!!!

I have noticed that women typically have the problem with it much more than men do. ( not being sexist, just an observation) I have met many younger people that have had as much on the ball as older people... the chemistry between two people is the important thing.... do they take your breath away when you hear their voice on the other end of the phone. Do you feel completely comfortable with them, no matter what you are doing. Can you tell them your deepest darkest fear or desire, with risk of rejection. Chemistry is what is important. Still looking for it myself.... but I am not giving up. when you find it, both of you should go for it. | |

21 dating 26? Not so much of an issue depending on how mature the 21 is.
30 dating 35? Why bother to ask?
40 dating 45? Who cares?

Posted: 1/2/2008 10:19:16 PM | I have met people who were 10 years apart; she was 40 and he was 30. As well, historically women outlive men, so the fact that you are younger than her, could mean you might both go together if the timing is right. lol :D. Just do it.

It is up to the both of you to make your decisions. if you are relatively mature, then i see no problem. If she is used to dating older guys, then she is seeking maturity. I think she is copping out and not being honest by saying she'll leave it up to the forum to decide. in her heart she has an anser and doesn't want to hurt your feelings because she probably likes you. | |
