If I walked through a burn unit at the local hospital and asked all the patients on the floor how many of them have ever had a severe flesh burn I bet I'd get a high figure as well. I'd like a research study to go through the death records for the past 100 years and find out how many heterosexual people in Canada or the United States contracted an STI or HIV over their lifespan and report that figure back to us. | |

I have a life, and it is not going around and having sex with any woman I find on the streets. I'm more smart than that, and yes, I have my fun too!
boricua papi---It sounds as though you and Deuce on are the same page as far as life style goes...so why aren't you in agreement with carrying the condoms?
Deuce....I carry condoms (most of the time) and leave a few in my car. Like Garnet said, I've had occassions where my g/f's would need one (in case their partner didn't have one) and I don't see why that would make me a 'whore' either. If anyone's ever read the threads where I'm called the Virgin Mary, Puritanical or whatever (for my belief that casual sex is not for me) this may as come as a surprise......
Even when I was in a new relationship-we didn't always have sex just in the house. Ever been out on a romantic picnic and not had a condom? Or a cozy night on the beach? If no one carries them-what good are they when they're needed?
Boy Scout Motto - Always Be Prepared - Though I don't think it originated for the purpose of condoms.

Posted: 5/6/2008 8:51:25 AM | First off, the odds of getting an STI from someone who has been tested, found they have an STI and informed you, are 0%.
The odds of getting an STI off a woman who will sleep with a guy within minutes or hours of metting him are probably a lot higher. Afterall, the odds are you're not the first guy she's done that with in her life. (Possibly not even the first that week) I've dated enough women that I get suspicious as soon as I hear a line like "Oh, I'm not usually like this...." Then later on you find out that well, yes, she was....
I don't carry condoms because:
A: I don't expect first date sex. Yes it can happen, but then it's not the 'end of the world' to do without it either. Oddly enough AIDS is the 'end of the world'.
B: Condoms can and do break. The seat belt analogy is good until you realise that Seat belts don't have a % of breakage and failures....
C: Condoms have a limited shelf life and should be treated with care. If they just came out of a wallet, or a purse, or a glove compartment, they're probably not reliable anyway. (From an STI website: Condoms should be stored at room temperature away from sunlight. Extreme heat harms condoms, so if you keep them in a purse, wallet or glove compartment replace them after a few weeks. )
D: Condoms do not protect you against... HPV, Gonorrhea, Herpes, Scabies, Pubic Lice These are spread by skin to skin contact, and there are others.
If you rely on condoms for safety, then do you use them for Oral sex too? Most people don't. It's ridiculous, the woman putting it in her mouth without a condom, then insisting on wanting one for intercourse????
At least with STI testing, and being with someone you've developed a relationship with, you have a better chance.
Finally, I konw a woman who was a swinger. She and her partner had used condoms regularly and carefully the whole time they were swinging but not with each other. She got Hep-C and HPV and has irregular Pap smears and now worries about Cervical cancer. After they separated, her ex, got HIV. Again while using condoms...
He won't be around much longer as he now has full blown AIDS.... | |

In the past I have had a few opportunities and I walked away because I don't want to have a few hrs of fun and regret it for the rest of my life. Just keep changing them often because the temperature and other factors destroy the rubber. So always good to change them if you have not used them lol in either case change is GOOOOOD lol . | |

however just the same thing is true for a guy ... i have found that if a date sees a condom in your wallet ..automatically your a player but if she decides to have sex with you you best be prepared ... just cant win sometimes | |

Here we go again... no, it just means that she's been "SAFER", not safe...
Condoms do not offer "safe" sex... just safer than without.... | |

Posted: 3/30/2009 10:42:01 AM | Doesn't make you a whore, makes you prepared. Just make sure you aren't carrying them around forever. Check the date periodically. And why do you care if someone calls you a whore? if someone pulls their pants down and has sex with you, then they are a whore too.

Yes. What I started doing after the first 10 times, is posting. Then refreshing the page a couple of times and it only shows up once. It's a glitch on POF. | |
