Americans earn about $45,000 a year, and canadians only $38,000. Please show your sources. I looked up stats on this not too long ago and it looks like you're comparing average family income in the US to average individual income in Canada (that's the closest numbers I could find to what you posted). Individual income in the US is closer to 26k and Canadian family income is over 50k. (the dollars I'm using aren't normalized, i.e. Canadian dollars for Canadians and American for Americans. But that doesn't matter right now)

Women in the US tend to be more aggressive it's built into American culture. Not saying that is right its their nature.

I thought of that too, and even warned my american friends that people here aren't as open. Even people in Montreal or Ottawa seem alot more less tense. I was at Buffalo for the game a few weeks back, and couldn't believe the woman there as well just chugging beer right before the game (a hot one too right in front of me). It all stems from American roots vs Canadian roots. A fellow Canadian explained it to me when we were in NY at a bar, discussing how people in NY are far more talkative and how the bartenders tend to initiate conversation while Canadian bartenders don't (this I think also reflects the difference in the women you are alluding to). He said he grew up with the British/Canadian custom (Loyalist) which is to show a bit more etiquette, be a bit more closed off, etc. whereas Americans essentally rejected most customs that were British (Rebellion/Revolution), so more open, direct, less conservative. This took root in the past which is still aparent today (also compare the CBC to Major American news channels, and other media). I also contribute Ontario also being a low energy place (maybe its the vast land), and even Toronto here is more stuck upish where all we do is worry about traffic and getting home in time, and buying condos (or homes up north).

Perhaps it has nothing to do with the women. Perhaps when you travel and are surrounded by people who aren't familiar with your usual self, you find it easier to let loose, perhaps be more of a flirt because if you get rejected, you don't have to worry about ever seeing those people again. So maybe when you let your guard down, you're more appealing and get more results.

It's not me! ... I don't like one night stands, make sexual advances to strangers and buy men drinks.... it's because I'm in Ontario with a low sex drive and low self esteam. If I move to Michigan will it increase? Goofiest thread ever!
