| Aliens and GOD's existence
Posted: 1/9/2008 11:45:14 AM | Hi , this is not just to you ,but to all who dont understand the concept of God ( as depicted by many faiths )
ALiens are not a species named 'aliens' .People are calling all beings they do not know about outside their own world 'aliens '.
The truth is WE homo sapien are not the only beings ever to exist throughout the universe and beyond .
God who ever he is ,maybe a being from a race or species far more powerful and advanced then us civilized ( ha ! ) humans Him himself being called an alien !
I am a christian ,but I am also intersted and respect other faiths and beliefs.In the scriptures it God refers to himself as 'us' and 'our ' and 'we' suggesting he is not alone .
Man was created in his ( or our ) likeness ,but before that there were Domions in the heavens - They included other beings such as Angels ,who are a species ,as are Demons ,as are Humans .
If any thing Aliens and God just confuze and scare people who dont want to think about their own invinsibility and truely believe and trust that the human race with all its stupidity and self destructive ways are the supreme rulers of the universe .
Pls open minds a bit , read Eric von danniken books ,read some christian books u didnt even know existed ...good luck for 2008 to all ...its interesting stuff kx | |

Posted: 1/9/2008 12:19:56 PM | When talking about God, I do try to keep an open mind, but sometimes it is hard, especially when people come and start reading parts of the Bible as if it must be true.
The Bible is a Book, a Book of which was translated, thus it is possible (not fact), but possible that the Bible we all know and love, isn't an exact translation of the one back in History. Words could have been missed, or some sentences could have been rewrote to make more sense, or to make sense from the translators perspective.
Moving on anyway... You talk about Angels, Demons and such, how are we to know that these 'species' aren't Aliens too? You make a point when you say God isn't a 'He' or 'She', but an 'Us' or 'Our', thus presenting the possability that the word 'God' isn't for an individual, but for a group.
If Aliens (far superiour to us Humans) did come to Earth, and create us in our form, then it is likely that those Aliens (or a group of them) named themselves God (translated to English). It is also stated in text, that we were created in their image. This does not mean identical, just similar. If you think about all Alien sightings and such (regardless of whether they've happened or not), they're all reported as being a Humanoid species.
Assuming 'God' is a group of Aliens, is it not possible that they were also Humanoid in form? If so, then it stands to reason that we were in fact created in their image.
PS: The term 'Alien' is usually given to an advanced extra terrestrial species. So in short, it is only given to the smart species out there. Assuming these guys live on other planets too, would they not have wildlife just as we do? Assuming the answer to that is yes, then what do we call this? Simple Wildlife, or would we call these creatures Aliens too? | |

Posted: 1/10/2008 3:46:06 AM | I whole heartedly agree ,the ' bible ' as we know it does not contain all of the information .For instance it doesnot contain more indepth information about the 'other' beings that have been around since before man .In order to find that out scriptures and writings that are excluded from the 'bible' but none the less exist ,have to be studied ,also indepth study of other religions and ancient cultures...All indicate Man is not the only being in existance .
My point was ( sorry if I dont make myself too clear ,i am new to this ! ) People are using the term aliens as any other being that doesnt live on earth ....and yes Angels could be called Aliens .My other point was ,God made us in his image so yes we look like God -humanoid ,so it is not extra ordinary that people report 'aliens 'to be humanoid...
I believein God ,I also believe in Man being a species ,one of many, who, we do not fully know about, or know to exist. I do not have the answers and do not claim to ,but because I believein God and am interested in discovering more about religion ,in particular my christian faith,and to try and answer some of the questions people ask when mocking the bible ( which i agree is a carefully selected collection of writings ) and the existance of God , I have an open and investigative mind and dont listen to opinion ,but as i said earlier study other sources ,
The Bible is a collection of writings ,it is not a book ,it was never compiled by one person at any one time ....it was in very recent times compiled by the church who are often questioned as to why they didnt include certain writings that were known of at the time of compilation ,and is indeed criticized by some for censorship relating to the views ,culture and opinions of the time of publication .
God and 'Aliens ' ( not lil green men ,but other celestial beings ) they go hand in hand .
That is what I believe and respect to those who believe what they believe , but please, dont base your belief on your human opinions, study what it is you believe in so you got something tangible to work with ...its exciting and rewarding too kx | |

i have read quite a few books by von danniken and thought that he came up with some very interesting theories but in the end he was discredited because he put some artifacts in places so he could further expand his theories, but that is not to say that his previous stuff should be discounted, i would also suggest reading Graham Hancock as i also like his take on ancient civilizations .
i know that the bible does not have all the possible scriptures in it to make a fully informed opinion on god, but what it does have in it is so contradictory, in the old testament he was a god that openly condoned murder against other people and yet we are all supposed to have been made by him and in the new he is a caring god who sent his son down so we could go to heaven with our sins forgiven, yet he is supposed to know the past present and future, so why did he need to send jesus down .
i don't believe in a god but the question will always be the same, if we came from aliens who made the aliens | |
