We tried to make it work for about five months... the distance was simply a small factor in why we didn't last. We met online too.. and yet I am back for more (perhaps a bit masochistic I guess) but this time around - prefer something a much more local.
Don't let the distance bother you.. love is not confined by time and space... meet this guy.. and take it from there! Good Luck.

Posted: 5/23/2005 5:51:27 PM | sigh...still waiting to meet some POFers around my neck of the woods. As for how far I've gone...nowhere. I have not looked at starting a relationship with someone a distance away because in my life right now I am unable to move away (next 7 years at least) I can move around here in the lower mainland of BC but any further and I would have to give up on some of my dreams for my life. I don't find it fair to not be able to move and make someone else change her life to come to me. When it happens it happens. If I do meet someone a distance away and it all works out after a few meetings then it's up to her and I to discuss it and work on a compromise.
Best of luck to all of you meeting someone through good ol' POF. Hope we all find the person of our dreams only a fingertip away!!

Thanks also for the words of support Quix, Nextinline and AngelicPassion.....it is true that if things work out when people meet distance will be an issue that is sortable.......Quix we all have dreams but don't limit yourself to meeting someone because of distance.....there maybe a woman watching you that is able to come to you not out of force but because she wants and is at a point in her life that she is able too...then she will embrace your dreams and support you as you move towards them..... | |
