Not sure the miles or kilometers but the total flight time (one-way, with connections) was 20 hours.

I'm gonna go with the notion that on-line long distance relationshps work...cuz reefer and I are doing it...he's in Vancouver, BC and I'm in Los Angeles, CA. I really do believe that anything can work if you both want it bad enough...we started chatting in January, decided we were more than friends in April and met each other in person in Vancouver in May and have another much longer duration visit planned for July. I also have a long distance plan that allows me to call anytime I want for as long as I want and it's only $4.99 a month...so we talk a lot...bottom line is...you both have to be committed to it. If that's in place...anything is possible when it comes to love! Good look Raven and Bizie...I've no doubt that you'll make it, if you want it bad enough! Cheers to the both of you!

You are more then welcome Reynado......I contacted Bizie because of a post he made about photography and he plans to publish a book......same thing I am thinking of doing.....so what started out as common interest has grown into so much more......I just think if I hadn't of emailed him we wouldn't be where we are today......so I am VERY grateful for biting the bullet and in the words of Nike "just doing it". *lol*

Raven, just got off the phone with you! I miss you, I miss you I really want to kiss you!

Bizie.....you make me blush and smile so much my cheeks hurt......thank you.

Yx32....I wish you and reefer all the best......I agree distance is only as much of an obstacle as we allow it to be. I have a decent long distance plan.....and even with that we manage to out talk my minutes.....plus Bizie calls me as well so that shows you we gab A LOT....lol.....he is going to look into a better plan on his end and I am going to see what I can find up here.....not many of those unlimited things around here but maybe I'll get lucky.....Hope you both have a great visit in July.

Thanks again for all the well wishes everyone....we both appreciate the support both in this post and the emails we have been receiving from some of you.....it means a lot.

I never did answer the question, just congratulated my bro and Raven...so here's my answer, though I've never been in a LDR, I'd welcome a relationship period at this point..in the words (paraphrased) of Dave Matthews..the space between is a space with no time..love works in strange ways...if it happens to be long distance..so be it, if it's meant to work it will.
I think that if the two are commited to making it work, then it doesn't matter if you are in the same town or in different parts of the country..or even the world.

I think I already posted on this, but I get tired of back-tracking. As far as LDRs are concerned, I personally don't believe in them. I don't even think about Short distance relationships of any kind. That's why I like it here. This is good enough for me.

LDR, for me, again? No way. I've tried it five times. LDR's are more than hard to maintain. It's my personal choice to date only local men.

Thanks LilMiss and Next.....I'm sure you'll both find your happinesses as well.

And yes Bizie is "da man"....

We are all entitled to our opinions.....for some long distance works, for others it doesn't....it all comes down to what is in your heart and what you are willing to endure for said relationship. It's all an unknown and the risk could be huge but hey that is life regardless of the situation......I see the risk worth the potential reward. For me I am willing to try...and really that is all any one can do.

Roll the dice and hope for the best.

hmmmm. The furthest i travelled to meet someone is about 10.000 miles.. Yes really, i am from Holland and have travelled to Singapore to meet someone and same goes for her.. :) Unfortunately after 2 years being in that relationship it didn't workout...

But for one, i don't mind the distance to meet someone... :)

RitzNB thanks for the well wishes but Bizie & I didn't work out as a long distance couple.....even with that said I still think "long distance" relationships can work if both people are dedicated to making it happen.....they aren't easy that's for certain, lots of issues can arise over the miles but if the one you think is right for you comes along don't let distance be a deterrent. Good luck and best wishes to all of you that have made it work or are a work in progress.

Hugs,
Raven

Well I've met up with women while I happened to be home for the holidays (3,000 miles) and I've dated women while I was in another town to meet friends (100 miles or so) but the furthest I've gone just to meet a woman off the net....about 50 miles.
Typically, my "dating radius" is a $25 dollar cab-ride.
How far would I go....that remains to be seen
