For those who have no issue tricking another into having sex with them...
The concept is utterly ridiculous, so the question of a politician trying to pass such an ass hat of an idea in to law is just as ridiculous.
With that out there, there is no way that I am saying I condone such make believe behaviour!! In any make believe way!!!! ( do not pay attention to the man behind the curtain)
I can just imagine how long the line would be of dumb ass people trying to file "I got tricked in to have sex" charges on other people..
I love it my mind is going wild!
OK pass the law! All people filling charges get there picture in the newspaper, in a special column called " I am so fecking stupid I got tricked in to sex"... Then a copy of the police report to follow!
~Belly~ Shet, I think I'm slipping in to my dark place...

| Tricky Sexual Encounters...Your fault? Posted: 1/19/2008 11:57:20 PM | Hello Fuchsia...
In disagreement;...I don't necessarily believe there should be laws, but people should have for dignity for themselves and do their homework. I'll admit, anyone who is deceiptful with their persona should be shot and pissed on....but ultimately, I believe it's up to each individual to protect and beware themselves of the on-going betrayal in the cyber-world...after all, if one ends up in a date or meeting with someone;...it's not like you can't walk away. We all have choices...and the people who have made a choice of deceipt will eventually be exposed and reduced to their natural filthy demeaning lives...On another point, if you end up in bed with someone and you still haven't figured out the person you're about to have sex with, you have more serious problems than you may think. Ultimately, my point is is that it's up to each of us to be careful, proceed with caution, and to never go to bed with someone until you've seen them in the light... :) ...so to speak...
Best of luck to you F...Cheers.

| Tricky Sexual Encounters...Your fault? Posted: 1/20/2008 1:13:16 AM | From post 579:
""In a way, I'd love to see the supporters of this inane idea get their lovers into court, as long as the "defendant" has a competent lawyer and counter-claims of "false advertising, misrepresentation" and maybe even "fraud" against the accuser are equally weighed by the justice system.
"Your honour, my client feels deceived about....... fact she had very unsatisfactory sex with him to TRICK him into a relationship. Damages in the amount of X dollars are requested." Hmm. Doesn't sound so good, now, does it?"
lol lol lol Makes lots of sense! They should pass a double bill, one on trickery to sex and one on trickery to marriage!!! And see which one gets used more! Or even better, "tricked to commitment". As a form of "mental rape/abuse".
These bills will triple the number of lawyers in the US or wherever passed! Good for employment in a de-industrialised economy! And one more good reason for Americans to move to Europe and finally start reversing the trend started by the Holy Inquisition!

| Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters! Posted: 1/20/2008 1:35:13 AM | i think its retarded to say that it should be illegal to trick someone into bed through lies. Thats ridiculous. If a guy lies and says he has money or power to get a girl into bed, then the girl is going to bed with him for the wrong reasons anyway
Now to trick someone into bed with promises of a job or something, now THAT should be illegal. It happens a lot in LA within the entertainment industry, and its like an ultimatum- sleep with me or i wont hire you. its horrible that it often goes unreported.

If thats the worst thing that has ever happened to them then they must lead blessed lives. If they care about the guy then its not really damaging for them to sleep with him. You're ridiculous for even seeing this as a crime, and if theyre too stupid enough to no know when they are being used then I'm sorry, they kind of deserve it. A lot of women claim they enjoy sex so its not like they were JUST doing it for the guy, they were doing it for themselves too.

That is a tad different. What is illegal is to propose to someone to sleep with you in exchange for a job, not to not offer the job after they have slept with you. Is such a deal is made, it is both parties who are breaking the law (just like the US legislators who some months ago passed a law aimed at the clients and the pimps, they are breaking the law as well, not just the prostitute, now of course in Europe prostitution is legal and in NL prostitutes are being offered courses by the state on how to run their own business, but these things are in non puritanical aka morally corrupt Eurup, not the prestine US of A, then again the US had the prohibition for many years and almost all it did was to create Al Capones, so go figure what US legislators and public opinion or lobbies are capable of).
Bottom Line IMO is that sex in the 21st century is something that only people who like - want it should practice (except in the procreation only cases where the end justifies the ...means). Expecting or demanding an LTR in return for sex should IMO be "illegal" as well (for both parties, the one who demands and the one who accepts, because sex should be only for mutual pleasure, there and then, and nothing else, but then I am European and I should prabably live in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam they have a whole museum dedicated to, yes, Sex!!!! ).
Thus a person could/should not have a right to claim that they were "tricked" into having sex, because the only legal reason for having sex should be for mutual pleasure and nothing else in return. Any return of any kind (including commitment or marriage or money or ANYTHING non sexual) should be declared, the activity licensed by the state and income tax and VAT or sales tax payable. Thus people engaging in sex with commitment or marriage promised or involved IN RETURN should be both charged with at least tax evasion (barter does not exempt a transaction from tax on the "value" of transacted good or service).
How is that for a view of the Opost's topic from a "reverse angle"?

| Tricky Sexual Encounters...Your fault? Posted: 1/20/2008 7:13:13 AM | Darrr: I'm going to fix this statement you made:
Yet another reason to not trust ..............need I say more. This is what it SHOULD say:
Yet another reason for men to not trust women..............need I say more. Why on earth would a man ever trust women again after being accused of rape after having consentual sex...just because the woman regretted it afterwards or didn't get what she wanted out of it?

Posted: 1/21/2008 12:55:08 PM | | I was conned out of a grand total of 50 bucks once, I had the opportunity to kick him in the ribs and I took it. Had I not had the opportunity I would have said "damn, I was dumb". Blame yourself if you screwed up, try to be a decent person every day and stop with the frivolous blame game. Even the idea the op had was dumb and wasted everyones time. Can't legislate against sociopaths or ***holesbut that is exactly what the laws try to do. What happens? Fewer rights for everyone else. | Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters! Posted: 1/25/2008 10:08:55 AM | | There is a law for it, it's called the underage sex law. If you are an adult and still stupid enough to fall for things like that then blame yourself not the other person. I myself am always blunt and don't lie to get what I want and therefore I am not fond of those that do lie or even embellish the truth. But let's face it, you should be smart enough to make these judgments or live with the consequences, not whine about it and think of it as being "tricked" ..... at least call it outsmarted, because you would be the dumb one for falling for it.

Ok, I don't get it. If he strung her along for months, he was working awful hard just for sex. It would seem to me he has done plenty of things for her in the months. Most guys that just want sex can go out and find it that night. But to make it a law to trick someone in to sex? How many broken hearted lovers would be claiming they were tricked. My ex lived off me till she saved up enough money for her own house, I guess she tricked me in to all that sex we had darn the luck!

| Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters! Posted: 1/25/2008 11:06:08 AM | First of all how in God's name can you be tricked into having sex?
...ummm let me see...start with kissing then it gets more involved and then he/she says..I am just gonna try something but its really not what you think and i dont want you to get the wrong idea either, this is not sex! and then you find out later after he/she leaves or you leave them that "hey he/she just tricked me into having sex"?
Come on, we all do things we regret or not really regret, but to blame it on being tricked?....sorry nobody can trick me into taking my pants off then panties and then getting inside of me ...and I am suppose to call that being tricked?...i am sure he can call you a trick if you give it out a lot though!...lol but this is a whole other thread I guess.

as for you and or your friends havin their souls destroyed over this?! come onnn yes agreed it might hurt like hell being used sucks but to make a law about it give it up i dont agree with that arent there enough people being sued or in court over enough stupid shiut already

| Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters! Posted: 1/25/2008 4:48:06 PM | For anybody concerned....do you think there should be laws against game players that trick you into sexual encounters I don't want to defend "game players" or people who decieve, but... don't we each have some responsiblilty to use our own judgement once in awhile?
Sure it's wrong to trick someone into bed with lies. but... The people who are cautious, and take time to ascertain a person's character, before being lured into bed, aren't going to be at risk of being lured into bed with lies.
Do we really need laws, to prevent people from being tricked into sex? or Don't we just need more people to learn to make sane judgements, to prevent themselves from being tricked?

LOL, it sounds like the dear boy has already paid a heavy price if the only reason he's with some gal is to get her as some "sexual conquest" and it's taken him months do to so. I mean it hardly makes him masterful and he might as well take up some other "hobby" that isn't so costly both in terms of time and money.
You know, just to keep things in perspective here.
