| Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters! Posted: 10/13/2008 11:17:46 AM | I agree that it is disgusting - why so many people here don't recognise the part about manipulating someone emotionally just to get sex is a bit surprising, it's an actual, serious deception - and PERHAPS some kind of law could be made but it would be difficult to enforce properly.
Although I believe that it would already be against the law, more or less. Deception like that must be illegal, just difficult to prosecute (who's lying, who's telling the truth, etc).
But those who say: you just have to say no, are either stupid or malevolent.
If you're conned into engaging in a relationship when in reality that person was just after sex but made you go through all kinds of emotions and took a good part of your life for so long...
I'm surprised we're not getting a bit more outrage?
If someone conned you out of thousands of dollars, would you say: oh, I could just have said no. I'm not prosecuting him.
Sounds pretty stupid..
The same when someone abused you emotionally, physically, etc It's WRONG and if it happened it's because you WERE conned. You weren't going to say no, you were mislead and developing feelings for the person.
Not difficult to understand

You can always save sex until marriage if you're that protective of it. Honestly, I dont think many men are really going to come up some elaborate ruse to get someone to marry them just for sex when they can just go see a prostitute.

I can see that some people have already decided they are "victims" of an event they have 100% control over, even when it hasn't happened yet!
You can't be "forced" to "have feelings". Your feelings (and your sexual decisions) are your own responsibility, whether you like the outcome or not.
