| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 9:15:57 AM | did someone yell NEXT!!!!!! You know what that means, It means that it's time for a Girl's Night Out to help out a Sista get over their latest. And don't worry, Sista's have each other's back and make sure that they are sober enough to drive home or else we get them home safely (yeah, this goes for guys as well, if we are out and about and see a fellow POF'er has had too much to drink, or even needs a ride, we are always up for making sure that they get home safely), so yeah, us Sista's have had drown many guys with alcohol (thanks Denise for Halloween night).
Stan, it's ok if you want to back out of things for awhile and regroup, alot of us have done that ourselves (I went as far as to just delete myself all together for about a month), but when it all comes down to it, this is a great place to meet people and make new friends. I have had the great opportunity to meet alot of new people since being on POF and have make some great friends, it's not all about dating, sometimes it's about getting out and about with others who are single and are just tired of sitting at home all the time doing nothing with their lives and saying that they can't meet others,, and having fun. What would life be like if we weren't allowed to have fun while we're single! (Gosh, with post like this, no wonder I love being single!)

Looking forward to the next weekend, as the song goes: Everybody's workin for the weekend, heck I do that every Monday

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 10:12:17 AM | | OK Ive been to Mardi Gras a few times In St Louis ..In New Orleans and in Galveston ( They compltetly close off the Island ) There are No Hotels in Soulard but its a short cab drive or shuttle to Downtown where they have the Marriot Holiday Inn and Drury Soulard shuts down at 10PM after that you can go down to the landing and party with the 20 somethings still lots of flashing goes on If I might suggest if you are just going for the day you might want to concider meetinmg at a Mtro link parking lot dont take the Metro But that way if you decide you want to call it before everyone else does you can get back to your carBTW there are free shuttles from the landing to Soulard and back all day untill like 10:30 But they will be very crowded as far as meeting up once you get there even the best of plans screw up at Mardi gras just plan on calling eachothers cell phones for that and keep them on vibrate it gets loud and crazy early | |

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 8:41:13 PM | Hey Denise no-one rained on my parade so why would you think that, just want to take some time from here to spend with someone specail other than posting our life on here. Just because people get mad at each other does not mean they are going to give up on each other,i just want to show her that i really care and if i have to spend every waking hour doing that then that is what i intend to do.Doesn't mean we will not party with the wild bunch though.

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 8:44:32 PM | I'm in for the Mardi Gras!!!! Need to get my beads to add to my collection! Details please! | |
|
| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 8:49:57 PM | | Ok now I see what Denise posted. I'm in for the motel room bit - one or two of you gals want to go in on a room w/me. I smoke so that's why I'm asking. Laura - care to share? Not unless you girls are getting a room regardless of the smoking then I will split the cost with you. | |
|
| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/27/2008 8:59:29 PM | we got non smoking Cammie, sorry, but maybe someone else who's also going one of those nights wouldn't mind sharing the cost with ya; I think we all inhaled enough smoke Saturday night, but that don't stop us from partying
I would recommend getting your hotel rooms on Friday night though cause then you can avoid traffic issues and parking the next morning; roads shut down 2a.m. Sat morning until 3a.m. Sunday morning.
Stan ~ I apologize if I took your remarks the wrong way, by all means you better treat your lady 'right' ~ any lady is special, and any guy should know to treat them with respect, no matter what (and that's a 'in general' comment) ~ good luck to ya!

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/28/2008 6:31:37 AM | | sorry, I guess I am younger then most of you but what is a No Sex Room.......do hotels actually offer these, and how do you go about asking for one. I worked as a night auditor at a hotel before and we didn't have any No Sex rooms. | |
|

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/28/2008 7:48:45 AM | wow, never been in a hotel room without a door on it. Guess I haven't been around the block enough.
And NO Kenny, that is not an invitation for you to take me around the block either!
|
| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/28/2008 9:05:04 AM | | That was very quick and smart on your part there theresa, heading kenny off at the pass before he could take advantage of that comment. But isn't the no-sex rooms reserved for the married couples only.Must be married more than ten years from what i hear. | |

| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras Posted: 1/28/2008 9:06:45 AM | Is anyone wanting to go into the BudLight Party tent on Saturday after the parade? Just wondering if anyone is planning on partying there in case I need to get my ticket. The tickets are $90 so not sure if anyone is wanting to spend that kind of money, but I figured I might want to check just in case that is where others are partying. I'm thinking though that most just want to stick around the Rolling Rock Area but I'm going to be where ever the party is!
As far time lines goes 11 - 2 is the parade Then the Rolling Rock Area "33" has 2-3:33 ~ Joe Dirt 4-5:33 ~ Evolution (#1 Journey Tribute Band in America) 6-7:33 ~ Dr Zhivegas (Best Dance Party Band in STL) This was the awesome band at Bottleneck on this past Friday night.
