| Saturday Feb 2nd Mardi Gras
Posted: 1/29/2008 8:34:36 PM | Hey everyone , was just wondering if everyone that's going to Soulard for the parade have a place to meet up ? I only live a few miles from there ( off Gravois ) and planning on leaving my house around 9AM to find a perking place fairly close since I know the area . If you have a place you all meeting at that would be great and if not just let me know and on my way home from my Uncles tomorrow I can stop threw there on my way home and finds a place and let you all know . Hope to catch up with some of you Saturday and party for a bit

I've never been to the parade or any part of Mardi Gras so, just along for the wild ride this time, I believe!

I will find a central location today down there so everyone going from here can meet up maybe around 10 AM . Will post something later ..
I have lived in South St Louis City a long time and know the back streets... so I may have to walk a bit but easier for me to get back home when I leave and not be stuck in traffic ... hate that stuff ...
For the Bday girl .. I have a couple beads for you if I get to see you ...

We were all actually planning on doing Soulard, until this blasted cold weather was forecasted. Sorry, this WARM WEATHER girl just cannot have fun in freezing cold! We are making alternate plans, but don't forget to check out the thread for the Mardi Gras themed (post actual festivities) POF party on Feb 23rd at the Strat...TBA momentarily!
Also, Shady Jacks has a run to Soulard, and a space/tent...it is going to be a whopper party after! | |

Kat, multiple layers, that's what I'm doing, just in case, and supposed to be 40 on Saturday, who knows about the sunshine though and of course I know I live in MO and it'll change by then!
I invited a few more peeps to St Pat's and Mardi Gras events!

I stopped by Soulard today on my way home and figured I would post a place for whoever wants to meet up . I should be at Russell and 9th around 9 AM if not earlier . In front of 900 Russell ( white with blue trimmed building ) I believe the parade goes threw there .
Plenty of places to go into if anyone needs to get warm ...
Saw the Hilton Inn and it's a nice place . Has off street parking which is great ! Nice location for exploring St Louis City .
I will bring extra beads to share

Just light snow in south county area (now, we have about 2inches on the ground), was sleeting when I left work at 4:30 from Fenton..about same amount of snow on ground there, started at 11 this morning..

Guess I will just have to see ... at least I can party at home if needed

Posted: 1/31/2008 3:19:16 PM | don't let a few flakes slow you down or stop you from having fun..just stay away from the people who don't know how to drive when it gets wet or white outside ~ oh wait, that would mean, staying away from EVERYONE Hey, I say, anyone who grew up in the country can drive in this stuff, any type of weather, because we used to get way more snow than in the last few years!
I say, minimal snow
no sleet/freezing rain/rain to go with it
